As I understand it, one of the issues is that the dev isn't getting enough money off patreon to enable him to take more time off his day job to work to finish the first release. So reducing his funding probably won't speed up the release.
Maybe if he released the game, he'd get more support...

Dark-Neighborhood had some issues. The boomerang shaped penis was unatractive AF. The mom looked stupid. The lil sis's personality was one dimensional. At least the tsundere older sister was hot, also loved the "auntie", cucking your dad was mega awesome and the twist at the end was much to my liking.
Overall I loved the game, many a faps were had.
Once something of the new game is out, I'm totally willing to shill some money to the dev. I don't mind a dev spending a lot of time between games and coming out with a very good version 0.1
That being said, the dev either has to make a neerly flawless first impression, or have a proven track record for me to support them during a intra-game-phase. I would say this dev has not earned my trust quite yet.
Still, here's hoping the new game does come out.

I am in complete agreeance with this comment.
We have games out now showing 0.1.0 that have a great beginning, good renders, some good animation, a good story, solid writing, which THEN gained a lot of patreons that wanted to see more of it.
THIS site is NOT for crowdfunding, one has to submit a legitimate product rather than JUST an idea, for the money to start rolling in.
Anything else expected is idiocy.

I was very reluctant to even start Dark Neighborhood since I am not a fan of incest and a few other kinks that people seem to enjoy, but I did like that story.
the entire game's characters looked like they were plucked directly out of a small Russian or Yugoslavian real world, complete with the Mothers overly exaggerated features and very masculine face (that was very hard to get used to, I almost expected her to have a thick Chicago Taxi man, or pizza shop owner voice)
The younger sibling and the neighbor or aunt, or whatever both looked like post-ops, but the cucking of the father was SO absolutely necessary.
The asshole leaves his entire family for fresh meat, that up and robs him blind, then leaves his worthless ass with nothing, they should have never let him back into THEIR house again no matter what the circumstances were.
The dev spent quite a bit of time on that game, but I don't remember there being ANY sort of build-up to its release like this in any way, nor SHOULD there be.
It's a simple method to the solution really, release a good opener, get people interested, get support, do better by putting out regular updates, get MORE support, hire other help to increase production and release times, rinse and repeat as necessary.

I don't see anything game changing, especially after playing his average at best previous game, the models in this look a lot better and the short video clips in the teaser look good, now if the game is full of clips like that and more and a good story then it could be up there with the big boy games... after 3+ more years of work.

I don't get it ... did you get paid along with some other trolls around here to come in and push the topic up with strange posts about "game changing" and blockbuster bullshit. This dude have problems with linking content in renpy ... what GAME ? ... What changer !? As far as i can see ... the theme is the same as his old game. One might simply say that it's a reloaded version. You have 4 bodies with big tits ... big ass ... with the same face for 3 of them !? Wax rendering ... what changer ... it's a VN !? Are your balls so blue that you outright declare nothing special for something spectacular !? Relax ... if he ever releases something ... he will crash and burn fast after that. Many reasons for that ... unless he get's on speed and some other nice drug therapy

And Dark Neighborhood for the time was a different game in some ways ... and it was finished.
With the popularity of the time, the dev should have released at least one demo of this game.
new gameplay and a brand new story coming soon!
Unfortunately missed the chance..and patreons
3D assets and rendering programs have evolved quickly, and any project that is more than a year old will certainly need to be redone....
The project loses its graphic appeal.. and for that reason so many Remakes....and dropouts

The dev gave the girls extremely generous hips, so there's probably gonna be impregnation, pregnancy, delivery and lactation.
So... Will this have animated scenes? I liked Dark Neighborhood, but wished it had some animations in it.
