Hmm. I found the initial choices lacking but chose MP as closest to what I preferred and later it says I'm a 'U.S. Navy Captain stationed in Okinawa' - so of course I restarted the whole goddamn process to avoid that outcome and went with sniper - which can't possibly be associated with a Navy Captain, being very Army and secondarily Marine-associated.

Same result, 'US Navy Captain'.

How many Navy Captains are fuckin' snipers?

I'm probably going too autist on this stuff because I'm a combat veteran so when a non-military person injects 'backstory' it so often falls flat badly for me. It's why, really, I prefer fantasy worlds over realistic ones as it allows people to play with things that don't break under our casual scrutiny. It's not hard to web search some common military stereotypes and tropes and bypass this absurdity.

I shouldn't care. It's a porn game. It shouldn't bother me. Yet it does. Haha.

Instead of Combat Medic, Radio Operator, Sniper and MP choices, I'd suggest the following:

- Infantry (aggressive, proficient in weapons and tactics, high survivability in difficult scenarios, no idea what's going on in the big-picture, respected but warily - force)

- Intelligence (reasoned, strategic, cunning, high social manipulation, lower practical capabilities than infantry, respected but warily - scheming)

- MP (a jack of all trades, master of none, a self-assumed leader with deficits in empathy and strategy, generally disliked - false sense of superiority and authority - think local cop in camo with negligable experience in civilian gray-area social situations).

- Mechanic (skilled in trades, capable of fixing shit and enjoys doing so, almost no social manipulation/leadership skill, liked most and least likely to be leader material in a dynamic situation). This could potentially be replaced with Medic and have the same results with emphasis on fixing people rather than machines. Mechanic has broader capabilities in utility but medic can save a life.

Radio Operator is basically a call center employee in camo. No offense to ROs. It's not exceptional, there's no defining RPG characteristics to be inferred here aside from low-skilled worker. Literally every dude who gets dirty in the field has to do RO shit and know how to work a radio. From General to Private.

And none of that should end with the protag being a Navy Captain, FFS. In the Army that'd be a Colonel. One step from Brigadier General (or in the Navy, Rear Admiral). Keep it enlisted if you want dirty-hands choices of back-stories.

If you must end with a Navy Captain, make the choices fit that outcome. Literally all of the choices provided are enlisted MOSs. For a Navy Captain, you have options of Chaplain, Engineer, Pilot, Intel, Surface Warfare, Submarine, EOD, etc..

MC is definitely Jessica's father right? I mean all the clues are there. Molly would tie him up and blindfold him during sex. Anna was having trouble getting pregnant called Jessica a miracle baby (making her desperate enough to sneak fuck MC) and as Jessica became a beautiful teenage girl Anna was desperate to get MC out of the house so he wouldn't fuck her (granted that could be normal protective mother but if she knew he was her dad it would also make sense). In the flashbacks they say that Jessica didn't inherit anything from Lewis. There is too much hinting at it for it to be coincidence
I don't know whether or not this topic was discussed here before but I completely missed this connection in my last playthrough. Good on you for noticing it. It doesn't change anything for me since I always treat her like a surrogate father but it's nice to know that there is a deeper bond there.

Okay, so the entire world is fucked, totally succumbing to disease/zombie-power animal SHTF-style doom but you put the protagonist in Okinawa only to have him magically (how the fuck?) return to the states amidst the complete breakdown of civilization? Why? Why not have him stationed in the US a few states over? That's still far-fetched but at least possible.

Navy Captain plus Okinawa were odd inserts that just do not fit the story as told. You can make it work, but not this way.

Yeah I mean the writing and setup are not the best, it's true that amidts the fall and total collapse of human civilization crossing that distance is almost a death sentence then crossing the damn distance once you're in the US and mostly by foot I assume because highways would be blocked and most roads unusable (well I mean you're kinda protected by plot armor since there are no other humans but that makes it even more difficult to do since you need other people to do civilization-level stuff like transport & logistics).

I feel he focused on the first few steps with the new personality test thing but that intro part was forgotten or left there as some sort of "mild lore" so you weren't dropped into the game with no knowledge, yet what the veteran dude up there said makes absolute sense, good thing is this dev actually listens to us so yeah maybe he knows shit about actual military stuff, I know I know shit and I would write something similar... yet again this guy is programming and coding can't expect the early lore to be Hollywood script writer level.

So yeah maybe give us some choices like "you were a surgeon" and you were trapped during this early chaos in a hospital, or "you had a past life of crime" and stuff like that...

Being closer to Jessica's residence also explains why you find her alive, the time to travel in the case of apocalypse from Okinawa to wherever in the US I assume she'd be dead by inanition long before you found her.

So yeah maybe next step is to add some content to calm the masses, then rework the entire background of the MC.

This game is one of the best on the site! Well done! The story is meaningful, there is a lot of interactivity, the graphics are great and the women are beautiful. Please no bimbo women! There are enough games with those. The natural proportions of women's bodies are the most beautiful thing. The overview picture on the front page shows one of the most beautiful asses. Please keep this level of female models up!

Disclaimer: I don't really care, but you posting three times about this intrigued me enough to post :LUL:

For me the whole reason was to show an arduous journey the protagonist just went through to reach the goal. It's just an old house but important enough for MC. It establishes survival capabilities and a certain personality.
It reminds me of the protag in Dying Light 2. In short, in the beginning the protag comes to one of the last places of civilisation during a zombie apocalypse after travelling for hundreds (maybe thousands) of miles through nothing but chaos (and zombies ofc). Why? To find his sister. This very succinctly establishes the character. Similar to the beginning of this game, I think.
Now you have a connection to the MC and I am certainly interested to why this place is so important, the past, etc. It's a solid introduction.

I understand and find the purpose reasonable to the story, rather my minor critique is that of scale.

From a quick web search the Dying Light 2 protagonist (I haven't played) is claimed to have traveled 1,000 kilometers which is a bit shorter than the distance from New York City to Chicago assuming free and clear road travel. That itself would be a herculean task under the circumstances but still conceivable (as stated previously in my suggestion - to make it a few states over rather than on the other side of the world).

First of all, let me thank you for your detailed observations and for sharing your insights. It’s clear that your knowledge and personal experience, particularly regarding military life, have allowed you to provide a thoughtful critique, and I genuinely appreciate that. I’m always impressed when players notice details or question the realism of certain aspects in such a nuanced way.

I completely respect your perspective because, in my personal life, I’m also closely connected to the military world (although not the U.S. military, to be fair). That being said, I realize now that one key detail might not have been explained clearly enough: the timeline of the protagonist’s military career. You’re absolutely correct that a sniper in Okinawa doesn’t make sense. However, as mentioned later in the story, the protagonist had multiple deployments (such as Iraq and Afghanistan) over the course of his career. And Navy Seals has been deployed in Afghanistan (even if there is no sea haha). But it was only after a serious injury that he was discharged and later given a strategic analyst role—a desk job adapted to his physical limitations. This isn’t uncommon, as veterans with intellectual acumen and extensive field experience often find ways to rejoin the military in less physically demanding but equally important roles. For many, military life becomes more than a profession—it’s a way of life, even a family for some.

That said, regarding the introduction and the protagonist’s journey from Japan to the U.S., I can assure you that this is something I’ve thought through in detail—so much so that it could almost be its own standalone story.

So maybe, if you found certain elements lacking in coherence, it’s likely because I had to condense a lot of this backstory into an introduction that wouldn’t overwhelm players with too many details. Striking the balance between a compelling backstory and avoiding a lengthy exposition is a challenge, and I opted for brevity to ensure the focus remained on the current events of Apocalypse Lovers.

Once again, thank you for your interest and your thoughtful critique. Your perspective is valid, and it’s clear that some aspects of the introduction could lead players to question the narrative’s coherence. I’ll certainly take this into account moving forward, as I believe there’s always room for improvement.

I truly appreciate your support, and I’m open to any further thoughts or ideas you’d like to share! I’ll likely make some slight adjustments based on your suggestions and will reach out to you via DM to discuss them further.

For your "bug", in fact, you can unload your tub/sponge/soap in the box in order to free your inventory and then get the last item.

You're not oblige to put all 4 items at once and items placed in such box stay in the box.

Review -> I love apocalypse games with a good story, manegement system, rpg style and survival. At start you receive tons of questions asking about your personality that make you thing that the game have multiple endings and multiple choices most of the games that i played like that the developer gave up from the game and let the game abandoned, cause if you gonna put multiple endings and multiple choices you need a big team for that like baldur's gate 3 for example. About the blue hair girl she is kind fussy for an apocalypse game and i dont understand why the game is over if she die and the protagonist still alive. The theme is apocalypse so people dont have the same ethics, customs or morality like in a normal world, so i hope to see more content of violence, incest, loli, anal, rape, pregnancy and etc in the future. By the way the only sex scene that you have till now is with a "imaginary friend "

The guy compares baldur gate 3 and renpy games, give him 100Million he will recruit the teams to make Apocalypse Lovers the next GOTY of the games awards...stupid comparison.

If you want more violence, incest, loli, anal, rape, pregnancy in the future, develop your own games, like that you will be able to satisfy your fantasy of violently raping a loli through in the ass with perhaps the chance to make her (or him) pregnant (I used your own criteria)

and the reviews go to review...
