Alright, so I finally got around to giving this game a shot and I want to say I enjoyed it, but I have some problems. Before I start though, I want to state I only finished the Vampire and Werewolf routes up to their current end point. I'm obviously doing the other routes but I'm still in the middle of most of them. I may or may not comment on them a bit later. So with that, I'll only focus on these two routes right now.
So the problem I have with Vampire side isn't actually from the vampire route. It's moreso from the Werewolf route where MC keeps falling back on the excuse of not letting Lucy see him. Honestly, it was rather useless to be a Vampire if he's going to constantly get bullied. As we seen from the other vampires, MC shouldn't be that weak. Elena made it quite clear that MC would be strong with Master Vampire abilities. And it not like he didn't ever use his powers. He killed the thug in the alley. Yeah, he was a human, but my point is that MC can use his powers.
The fact that MC reflexes are so horrible against werewolves is a shame. He shouldn't even need Lucy to help with Luca, but he keeps getting treated like a baby. I don't expect him to just bully the wolves, but he shouldn't be cowering just cause Lucy is right there. It's not like he can't just block her memories afterwards, if it was required. Especially when she was just a human the first time.
As for the Werewolf route. I was actually hoping for Sylvia to turn MC. In fact, that seemed to be her plan but Lucy interfered. Which was unfortunate. It would've been much more interesting to have MC go through the same thing as Lucy, with Sylvia trying to tempt him. Instead, we got Lucy to bite us, which feels a bit meh. It's kind of funny because on the Vampire side, I wanted the opposite. I wanted Amelia to turn MC over Elena, but she's supposedly special so it made sense. I guess you can say I expected something similar on the Werewolf side but it went reverse.
So while I enjoyed both of those routes content, I do feel MC was a bit too weak. Mostly referring to being a Vampire during the werewolf side. I don't see why MC didn't just get Amelia, Isabella and Elena to kill Roman. Hell, Amelia probably could kill them all by herself, if MC was able to nearly kill Sylvia with his little silver knife. Which adds to the whole MC being nerfed.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing those routes progress. Whenever that should take place. Now, I have to get back to the other routes. For now, my main will be the Vampire MC as I feel it's a bit more interesting. The werewolf one has some potential but not enough for now.
