There is. Third Crisis attempted to recapture Ariadne's magic. Unfortunately, it only got the art style right. The gameplay, which is the strong suit of Ariadne, is poor.

I suggest opening a topic in recommendations-identification (with "Seeking" prefix), you likely will get more folks seeing the question that way.
I'd be watching that topic myself, because I also do not know a game quite like Ariadne, with such nice maps, the combat, etc.

The developers' online presence (social media/blogs/etc.) were wiped out without a trace and nobody knows what happened to them or where they are now.

You can check out the works from same developer. TBH, the similar type of games are being eliminated by choice simply the market doesn't support them enough. And no, no recent releases of the similar genre has the similar depth in terms of choices, plot and progression.

If you are looking for artwork similar...neither.

The recent releases are mostly "Fap fast, be dumb, be simple" or VN (read a book). You might have to look back into the older releases for something close.
