Thats what i tried to point out with his good values and being a good teacher. He doesnt seem like someone lacking social intelligence or someone solely focused on one specific field. He comes across as someone well educated and social. Had a good upbringing and is grounded in reality (until everything went to shit). He was not potrayed as a one field genius/idiot at all so far.

This was (imo) shown with artemis this chapter too, hes not just the one writting the code, hes establishing patterns and unqiue ways to teach her.

And i mean its the same thing which happened already to him, losing all the rights to the contributions he made to a project, its not something which he lacks the experience for to ever consider it in the first place.

Edit: If hes himself unable to demand rights/safety for himself, Kindra could have offered him too (some veto rights or something) which she unfortunaley didnt do either, she should consider what happens to the company/artemis/aiden in case of her demise herself too esp after what happened to her parents. Maybe Reina will advise them into this direction.

I mean just because he's good at teaching doesn't mean that he actually is socially adept. In the vast majority of the interactions, he is pretty damn socially awkward, it only works because he's a bit of a goofball.
Moreover, what he lost was a project he jointly created with a lover, Artemis wasn't something he created and rather something that Kindra basically wanted him to help with, so the circumstances are pretty radically different between those situations.

For all intents and purposes, he's likely fully alright with her taking all of the credit given that he doesn't seem to be keen on publicity. Honestly I'm almost certain they've had a conversation about this, but I can't fully recall.

Though agreed, Kindra needs to implement some failsafes but it hasn't exactly been at the forefront of either of their minds until the literal last update more or less, with the conversation of how the public will react to Artemis and that they'll likely have to fight for her rights.

I'm not so sure it won't happen. The seeds have been planted. I agree that I don't like it at all.

Well, as I said previously, not all sentences dropped in a VN needs to have fruition, meaning that just because Kindra (which didn't even know about it or how the MC has struggled with it before) talked to June about it, it doesn't have to lead anywhere.
Honestly just from a writing perspective, I can fully understand why Kindra asked, because anyone faced with that situation will likely wonder "what if", it just means that the dev took some time to think of Kindra as a real being and how she would react in that situation given her personality traits.

Just downloaded it and nope, the cooing sounds were not added yet in this patch unfortunately but the new main menu was and its really a good one. Hope they add a patch for it before releasing chapter 7 hehe.

You're absolutely right. Cooing should be a sound in the game, and we shouldn't have to imagine it in our heads.

But not when we talk about artemis specifically which would simply not exist without aiden.

I doubt the mc would feel good if kindra (or her successor) would mass produce artemis military androids. Artemis could become way worse than hunter with the wrong lead.

It kinda feels like they both fail to aknowledge how big his contribution to artemis existance was and how big of a deal artemis in general is. Which starts to become a repeating pattern ...

Oh they absolutely are, but it also tracks very well with experts in their fields and what they create.
I mean hell, we made the atomic bomb for the most part because the scientists behind it knew that it was possible, but they never stopped to think if they should or not, because they never imagined it being used for evil, or being used at all in actual warfare.

That sort of idealism makes sense with Kindra and the MC, they basically only thought about the good Artemis could potentially bring up until the latest update.
I didn't feel like it was out of character for them to be oblivious to these things, given the circumstances and what they're both like. They're not really humanitarians, both are just dweeby tinkerers who accidentally found themselves dabbling in the most groundbreaking and controversial tech on the planet.

you must have personal stories worthy of reaccounting. I mean: yes all true and there's not much to tell you. but you must have had experiences that formed you to think this way even if you just read a VN

Nah nothing compareable luckily (or unfortunealy), i just have a dad who's a lawyer and kept hammering stuff like that down into my brain my whole life lol.

But me and probably most people who are 35+ have firsthand or at least secondhand experience how even closer relationships than the one between Kindra and Aiden can move downhill and even more when buisness is involved. Its nothing we realisticly need to worry about as kindra is our AVN LI and there therefore wont be a fallout and everyone would riot if digi would let her die anyway

But i feel like its something which should be adressed (soon) even in the avn, if Kindra and Aiden are too distraced/idealistic or whatever than Kindra's uncle should bring it up or Reina (inheritence and rights to artemis). Its simply nothing you can overlook with something of this scope.

Maybe being able to fight for himself (and therefore artemis life in a way) and his rights is something Claire can still teach him, he may lacks the confidence due to his trauma.

And as i said already, Aiden himself had made this experience in his life already.

The terms at the moment make her look like the next zuckerberg which is kinda stupid as her character is the opposite of greedy and enjoys to reward aiden fairly (or way over the top).

That is really a hard question and I guess for the Dev also a bit of a more personal topic now for what he experienced last months (lost my mom also 10 years ago so I know the pain).

I think it has a high probability of it happening/planned with so much focus on the memories/flashbacks between the MC and his mom, seems kind of a foreshadow event but who knows besides digi.B, can be only to give emphasis on MC background and for us to understand him better and how he was raised by her mom. But the future meeting with his father seems to indicate much more than just to understand MC character/behavior.

I have no idea how I would do it though hehe I suck at being creative (that is why my profession is more of an analytical one than creative, I love math and statistics hence why I'm a quality tech but suck at more subjective topics but enjoy them as an observer/consumer) that is why you rarely see me give my INPUT on game plots/story theory hehe I usually suck at it but love to read others views and imagination.

You're absolutely right. Cooing should be a sound in the game, and we shouldn't have to imagine it in our heads.

Yeah gino, digi.B has the sounds from 2 actresses he hired for the cooing sounds but have to apply them and sync with the renders (as he posted on patreon I guess and someone reposted here when v0.6.0 went live). Probably still didn't had enough time to do it properly, this last patch had some bugs to fix also and that was more urgent since some of the bugs were critical like the SD card ones and the new main menu was done rendering I guess so went in also in the patch.

I don't think Kindra is in any way exploiting the MC, and I don't think that the MC is in any way feeling like he is being exploited. What I do think has been happening is that having them work on a project together has somewhat teleported them back (in their mind) to their childhoods. They're just tinkering and learning as they're going, entirely consumed with Artemis without any real thought paid to background noise until (as noted earlier) this very latest update.
I think they were more in a 'two buddies locked in a garage, building shit' type space mentally, because they're both just tinkering dweebs without any real bad bone in them.


And yeah, their dynamic definitely is morphing towards the both of them likely looking more at Artemis like their child, what with both MC and Kindra taking their time and doing their best to help Artemis learn and evolve, aswell as the serious conversation they had about her potential rights in society.
I don't doubt that they'll end up having a conversation about what Artemis means to them like 2 - 3 updates down the line.

Overall, I can't see Kindra really doing anything malicious. She's had every opportunity under the sun, but what she decided to do was to support the MC the best she could and also hoping that he'd hatefuck Cassandra into oblivion (which made me laugh). I don't feel like there's any reason to worry right now, especially with Reina coming into the picture and Jude finally knowing about Artemis which will give a third voice to the entire thing.

I think she is exploiting Aiden kinda accidentally and unaware of it but i agree that Aiden doesnt feel exploited. And its not about money as she is very generous in that regard. But if kindra would die or change course he may would start to feel exploited by her successor. Anyyyway all of this is very much only theory as kindra wont die or go crazy.

But just to put things in perspective even if its not entirely fitting:

I would not want to create a family knowing i would lose any rights to my kids if me and my wifey ever divorce. Even worse in a setup where its just a (very good) female friend and we have a disagreement over something. This happens quickly nowadays. Look up how much couples broke up over political disagreements about trump for example

Anyway, its not really meant serious or this important as all these real life risks dont apply in an avn. I just think it makes a avn more immersive if its treated like it would be necessary like in reality. But its really not a big deal.

In the OP in Split section it says Win/Linux. But when I download 18.6 f*cking Gb, it is just a Windows version.

Update: I have reported this issue and got a prompt response from the mod "You only wasted it if you deleted it... As you can just build yourself the Linux version with the renpy SDK."
Of course, I can build a spaceship and fly to Mars. Or I can learn programming and computer graphics and create my own game. But why do you write Linux in the OP if it is only the Windows version? And if it is a mistake it needs to be fixed, not telling the ppl to go learn RenPy SDK.

It's all proprietary and patented. K's company owns it through and through. MC would know this, he is not an idiot plus he said he would finish it with out claiming ownership. Also we don't know the actual details of the contract. All we know is he has been given a prestigious position with many benefits and boons. K has given him zero reason not to trust it. And, as we can observe, he has been working on his issues through out.
