VN Ren'Py Artemis [v0.6.2b] [digi.B]

Alright, i managed a workaround for my problem with the files while unpacking the zip. I just downloaded the zip directly to my D-plate, unpacked it there and voilá, no files are damaged and the scenes show as intented.
Also there was no issues copying the game-folder to my external-drive and starting the .exe from there.
Copying the zip i downloaded to my external-drive to my D-plate and unpacking it there didnt work, same issue occurs.

So its pretty safe to say, that my external-drive doesnt like it when i unpack the zip there or doesnt like it when i dl the zip directly to my external-drive.
So yeah... im just happy now i can play the game without any issues

Green but it also tells you when dating others LI's can lead to blocking others.
So also make a save there before you agree to it and then you can always come back to make another
choice if you want all the content. But yeah green is the better choice.

It's also worth pointing out that sometimes there isn't an objectively better choice.
In particular, there are two in this pizza restaurant scene; leaving the tip annoys Kindra since she just complained about the waitress, but it's one of two ways to get a scene much later in the game at the Halloween party (the other way requires you to go out with Katy instead of Zelda), so you may indeed want to leave the tip. It's apparently just a one-time thing, though, so numbers wise if you want the Kindra rp, maybe don't.
You also have a chance to pay for the whole meal, which seems like the obviously generous thing to do, but be aware that has a reasonably big (IMO) shift much later in the game for dealing with a specific side character, and besides some lost RP means a pretty cringy/awkward bit. This comes down to the money cheat from the mod -- if you play base game, you can't afford to pay for the whole meal if you're also doing stuff like tipping June, so it's obvious that it would be a bad financial decision. With the extra cash the mod gives you to le you chooe whatever combo you want, it's easy to pay for all of them and then realize chapters later that you've made an "important choice."
Again, just my opinion, but if the mod facilitates that or there are either/or reasons, I'd really like to see some sort of note appended to those decisions, e.g. "This choice changes a scene in a later chapter," "this choice may lock out a side girl scene."

Green for probably all renpy mods. You just need to wait 4 episodes to find out why that, seemingly counter intuitive choice, is the right one.

I feel in simpler terms its main LI > side girls in walkthroughs, so missing stuff with the main girls is considered more important than scenes with side characters. I wish mods would let you chose a girl/set of girls(if they don't have mutually exclusive scenes) at the start and max choices for those, rather than the mod's author deciding the popular 'best' choice.

This reminds me, I am not sure if this is still the case in scrappy's mod but you should split the bill with Kindra in this scene, while its not "optimal" but choosing to pay in full makes her think MC sucks at managing money and locks you out of a couple of choices iirc.

Nah the mod will let you pay for the pizza but won't penalize you even though
Kindra will tell you that you suck at managing money later. This way you will
still be able to buy the 2 cars later in the story. Without the mod you need to split
the check....this way she will let you get both cars.

You must be registered to see the links ​ Aug 26, 2025​ ​ Hey everyone! Long day trying to get through some technical stuff. Decided to put it aside, let my brain rest and wrap it tomorrow. First off, thanks for all the feedback last week. I hope it didn't come off as complaining, I just saw an opportunity to really share what goes on behind the scenes with Artemis. And give some feedback on my end on AVN development as a whole. It really is a beast to take on, depending on the scope of what you're willing to take on and of course your vision. I got into AVNs because I've done a lot of creative stuff growing up and I saw an opportunity to do it and took my shot. It is a big investment in time, but it's a rewarding thing to see your progress with each release. On the 0.6.2 patch, it's ready to go. Just need to do some testing this week and make sure nothing broke. Though, Beta testers for Chapter 6 encountered no issues with their saves. A handful of people did. So, unfortunately, I'm at the mercy of the Ren'Py gods it doesn't happen again. I say this because code was inserted wherever the "cooing" lines are, so just concerned about that. If all goes well, I'll likely upload it this Friday. If not, Sept 1st is when I'll upload this patch. On the CH7 front, things are good. I'm trying to redesign the Artemis app to be more informative. If you haven't noticed, I love implementing designs that are explained in the story. For example the LiDAR app is the minimap during free roams. The Artemis app is supposed to be not only something you guys reference, but things MC references as he begins fitting into his role at Kapuletti Industries. It is the core part of the story and will determine how things end. High firm points don't necessarily mean bad ending. prob going to point that out every chance I get to reassure everyone. I'll likely try and find time to play mass effect again, just so i can get a feel for the paragon/renegade system as it is the system it was inspired from. See if bringing back the icons in choices helps or if keeping them hidden brings some element of 'realism'. I know I've asked you guys before and I apologize for beating a dead horse, but did you guys find yourselves being swayed by the icons more or the choice themselves? Adding a toggle to hide the icons or enable them will bloat the code and I'm trying to avoid that. But hearing some feedback again will give me some food for thought on the matter. To be fair...a lot of the renders didn't look good in chapter 1
She does look a lot better now but in the end....Zoe isn't an LI anymore.
Some of us are hoping she becomes a FWB but we just don't know.

All I can say is that I first started reading this novel with version 0.5.
But some models honestly looked better before being redesigned. For example, Artemis, whose face was more serious than it is now. And her nose is like a duck's right now.

I still think IIRC that there is a disclaimer ingame when you start a new game playthrough about Digi.B eye condition and because of that there is inconsistencies on chapter 1 render quality, I guess that is still there and will stay until the dev decide to rework those chapter 1 renders.

Yes it's been discussed a few times since I become a sub and I think
most of us agree it's best to forge a head with the game. He can always
come back later to it. And it's not like the whole chapter is bad.

Just a few of the girls {ZOE and Naomi if I remember right} and they both get better after each chapter.
All the girls look great as the game continued and his renders have
really become top notch now! I'm mainly here for the story but the renders
are really nice bonus! And Artemis is a real cutie!

how is this game ?

one of the best I’ve played on here. It has everything a good game and story need. You may be disappointed by some titles on here, but this will most definitely not be one of them.

just a note always check the genre to know what the game is featuring as that will save you a lot of time in the future. Ie if there is a type of game, fetish, action, or relationship you do not like it can save you time. Also is many have said look at the reviews both good, bad, and average to get an idea. I would say do not go entirely by what others think ether as you may miss out on something you truly like.
