One thing I've never really been clear on when installing mods for this game, am I actually supposed to also be installing the overrides as well? I typically ignore them since they looked optional to me.

As far as overrides go, when installing JMCP i completely skipped the overrides folders. No idea what they are or what they do, but my old mind conjured something up along the lines of "i think i need these for the 3d rooms to function, but im not using those, so meh".

As for the rest? No idea - the modern installation guide doesnt require any to be installed in the mods it links to (other than JMCP, but it works without those), so im guessing theyre not that important.

If this was a regular game (no modules), id say you actually fucked up. But i know those cards of yours are riddled with modules, so you just got randomly chosen for execution. RIP!

Nah, I knew what I was doing. Her and Sorayuki are a couple and Sorayuki asked me to bang in the middle of a hallway. I'm not out yet though. Gonna try and either recover the relationship, or try and get one of the Vengeful cards in love with me and maybe they'll do a pre-emptive strike.

Good day fellows, I, like many others I presume, have been recently hit with nostalgia and hope to peruse the classics. So of course, I look up one of the GOATs, AA2, and lo and behold, it's been modified by fans? Egads! A faster and smoother experience? Woe is-

Okay, I'm too tired to keep up with the Shakespearian shenanigans, my question is, AA2 MiniPPX the way to go, even with a no mods puritan like myself? I have a shitty laptop that's almost a decade old, and I'd hate having to finagle my system just to install a framework that's built for mods that I will probably never use.

Should I just go delving in the deepest reaches of the internet and hope to find the original 16GB files, and hope to also dig up the original hongfire TLs?

I would imagine it's the way to go either way, but especially if you're running Windows 10/11 or Linux, since it includes fixes to get it running properly on modern operating systems. The

makes setting it up relatively painless. Pick and choose the mods you want to install from the ones it suggests, or none at all, but if you end up downloading cards and you haven't installed the suggested mods you may find that you're missing things like clothes, hairs, personalities etc.

My problem right now is that it seems my laptop is too shitty to even run the AA2U, even after trying all the suggested fixes/tweaks for 30 minutes. Guess I'll just have to accept that it's time to save up for a decent rig. It's nigh time anyways, seeing as even smaller Unity games released recently causes it to BSOD.

Inazumasexual To be fair, once-in-a-blue-moon BSOD can be an "oopsie"; repeated BSOD is an indicator of something more severe than a "too weak to run this". To draw a parallel, think HDDs: having one bad sector is fine - not only do sometimes even brand new drives come with a few of them, OS and/or disk controller know how to "fix" it -, but if more and more sectors get flagged during regular use - you have a serious problem.

It's just more of an excuse to finally get my ass off and get new hardware. There's been a lot of games I can't play due to hardware constraints. Either way, don't want to stink up the thread with more of my poorfaggory.

I've never realized before how annoying it is to have someone planning your murder. They just continually spam you with threats/murder notices. At this point I would welcome death.

It's honestly really funny if you disable murder actions because they'll just non-stop endlessly harass the character they want to kill with these threats.

That's quite the oversight that you can still get the status/harassment with no possible end to it.

Ive only seen "it" in 3rd person - when an evil card harassed some other card.

I would say its on the same level of "annoying" as exploitable cards running up to you and asking you to not give up their secret. Fortunately, you can use one of the bully functions on them to make it stop...

Yeah I'm not typically on the receiving end of it. I just instigate it between other characters. Definitely need to make some kind of cooldown module that limits certain interactions towards the PC to maybe once per period, or once per day. Also, she is spamming that interaction way more than I ever get the exploitable interaction. She just follows me around and stands next to me, repeating it over and over.

Sounds like that one type of situation, where a hetero slut made enemies with every other guy in class, leaving me with her "i think i like them" status. Incessant pestering. Almost like what youve described - since the AI cant find any more targets, it focuses on one.

That could be it since the rest of the class doesn't have a good opinion of her either. Nobody wants to hang out with her, so instead she spends her time bothering me instead. She's probably hoping I'll just kill myself so she doesn't have to do it.
