What is a video editor?
What is a video editor?
Indeed, taking the trailer down (rather than simply fixing it) strikes me as incredibly lazy on Critical Bliss' part. Someone with the ability to make that trailer easily has the ability to tweak the 'Out Now' to say whatever they want. If I were Mirthal I'd feel pretty disappointed with them as a publisher already by now...What is a video editor?![]()
I get a feeling someone is trying to lame damagecontrolling by justifying another "filthy pirates ruin games" excuses. Interesting, he picked up that one highly questionable thing, not a few dozens of "what's with misterious release delay" thing. This is from Mirthal's twitter post.
That was the publisher, right? They might've done that with his input. I don't know what happens behind the scenes. I mostly just asked that since I was sure Mirthal had posted a receipt that the ball is in steam's park right now.Isn't it one more reason NOT to remove trailer?
I'm sure some are, it has to be said that steam states it can take 3-5 business days to check a game. There's no way a publisher like CriticalBliss didn't account for that and some possible delays in the review process. If I'm not mistaken, they submitted the final build sometime on the 22nd, might be wrong about this, though. However if it's true, yesterday was the fifth day. It's possible steam is also to blame on this one, but if Mirthal and the publisher was really upset, they could always just release the game on itch and patreon. Are people upset because they don't believe that it's Steam holding things up?
They did indeed, the full timeline is as follows:If I'm not mistaken, they submitted the final build sometime on the 22nd, might be wrong about this, though.
Didn't the tweet show it was awaiting approval since Nov 19th?They did indeed, the full timeline is as follows:
Nov 15th - Aurelia's original confirmed release date
Nov 22nd - The delayed release date, when Mirthal submitted the build to Steam
Nov 29th - 5 working days of Steam review have passed, and Steam 'should' have (most likely) finished their review
3 working days from the 19th = 22nd, the delayed release date.Didn't the tweet show it was awaiting approval since Nov 19th?
By the time when (IF) Steam gives it a green light Mirthal might decide that he is not truly satisfied with the game's current state and needs to either give it another quality pass before release...or remake it from scratch. It might have to be pushed back to 2026 release date. Please understand.
