I have only played the demo for a few hours, does this game have only females or does it actually include futa/trans? I see it in the thread tags

Is it gonna get cracked the same day it comes out? If so, it's very understandable why releasing it on itch.io would be a big blow to steam sales if both are not simultaneous

I don't get people who get so emotional about release dates, it happenes when it happens. Broken promises is something to take a dev accountable for, not enough certainty to tell whether it's even the case. In the meantime though y'all don't have to act like you're blueballing yourself until the game releases. You can get off to other things in the meantime yk.

Mostly because of broken expectation based on promises, which in turn being made withoiut any actual understanding or being outright lies. A month or two doesn't matter too much. What is matter is dev's inability to be adequate.
It is quite simple - if you dont know something - you can always say "I don't know".
If someone told him "your game will release at 12-00, 22nd of november", he could tell "x told me release is...", not "release is...". He choose to release it on steam not by himself, but with the help of seasoned publisher - and then SUDDENLY, project release got MISTERIOUSLY delayed. Again - sesoned publisher could expect the delay and could warn the dev. But either they choose not to, ot dev is lying. Either way there is too many wierd things happening simultaniously.
And for some reasons, patrons too did not recieve any game. Even if they recieved some heavy drm protectewd version - doesn't matter, because the release itself would be a proof of "it ok guys, just some technical issues with steam". Insted dev choose to lay some lame excuses, which only made things more suspicious.
Can we say he is a bad guy now? No, we don't have enough proof. But the things gets more wierd with every day passed and with evely lame excuse presented.

Rejost, well, this is too much.
One thing is a delay, and not that long (yet), another thing is no content and COMPLETE ignoring of players.

I think it will be after December 4. Most devs try to avoid putting new releases during Steam Sales, unless they want to give fat early discount like -25%.
Game will just look bad compared do all other currently discounted ones.
His publisher might have advised him to delay release and he is feeding bunch of crap to everyone now.
He missed his window before sale and now we all will wait :-/
Good thing it will be probably before December 19 because long Winter Sale is coming
Btw first delay might have been also related to christmas season being most profitable, so chances are the game was completed long time ago...

Getting these devs to move their a** is actually not that difficult. A couple years back when Redamz was scamming their patrons for years without an end in sight, I simply copied and pasted a scuffed legal notice to Patreon support regarding consumer protection laws and whatnot. A week later the Page was "under review" and is still to this day. With this guy you could easily ask ChatGPT to come up with any remotely serious-sounding legal notice and Patreon will probably fold within minutes. You do not even need to be an active payer, literally anyone could do it.
I know you think you're being some hero of the people but you're just harrassing these already overstressed and overworked indie devs who likely couldn't survive any legal issues. People riot over AAA companies not listening to the players, but the more I see players like you the more I start to understand that decision.

Not only did you just admit to a crime, it's the most pathetically hilarious thing you could do in this situation. It's like you faked a note to get out of gym class and signed it "mom" in red crayon, then started monologueing about it like you're a master manipulator who cracked the system instead of a selfish karen who thinks that you're entitled to a persons art while spitting in their face and complicating the process of creating it.

What youre doing is the equivalent of trying to get the chef fired because the waitress visited another table before yours, it's childish and reactionary, nobody is impressed. You're acting extremely entitled, once again I am shocked at how swiftly this community is completely turning on a dev who has proven to deliver quality work and care about making the best game possible above all else. What's more, everyone who seems to be turning on Mirthal is using money and patreon payments as their main reason. You haven't given him any money and personally I don't believe those of you who say that you're going to if you enjoy the game because you're showing your colours as quite maliciously anti-artist. For the hundredth time, if you want games delivered in a timely fashion you can go play call of duty or 2K, but games worth playing take time and bitching about it doesn't speed it up.

I am learning a lot for when I start uploading my own games though, mainly to not read a word you people say.

Edit: Not to say that this entire community is bad, some of you are being extremely cool about all this and I absolutely do not take that for granted.

Cry me a river. They work from home with free schedule and have no obligations what so ever. No one harasses actually working devs, just scammers who make like 10000$/month without doing anything but teasers and stories about broken leg/finger/hard case of herpes from hooker/broken hard drive etc.

You can't legitimately think that game developers and artists deserve to be gang bullied because they dont work traditional 9 to 5 jobs. If you think that their job takes no skill I'd love to see you put out a single drawing that looks even half as good as any single frame from this game. I won't even go into why claiming working from home = no obligations is a brick-for-brain stupid take because judging by your views you have too much lead poisoning to understand.

This is not a scammer, they made the fucking game and it's coming out. If they were a scammer I wouldn't be sticking up for them, for example I've been very vocal about my hatred for Dark Cookie who is behind Summertime Saga, an actual scam. You deciding you've run out of patience doesn't make your tantrum suddenly morally sound, until it's confirmed that the dev was lying you're just being a bitch.

Also releasing a game on black friday would be a braindead move, wanting to be paid for your years of work doesn't make you a greedy monster.
If it doesn't come out next week and there's no reason given then yeah something is fishy but right now we have the explaination complete with screenshots and it's entirely believable.

Only difference between Dark Cookie and Mirthal is their scamming skills and luck. Still both are significantly overpayed bullshiters. You could even argue that more work was put into Summertime Saga than Aurelia, but it's pace of work people having a problem with. And both delivered nothing last year milking thier Patreons dry. Why he didn't stop payments, when he decided that wanted to work on Steam release, instead of regular content for subscribers? Why he should be payed double by Patrons and by people who buy his game in store? And his supporters aren't even getting special treatment, like Kickstarter backers.

"Scam" used to mean more than being a bit late on release yk
Like actual legally recognised theft and stuff.
I don't understand the urge to hate some people in here have. It's not healthy. Take a break, think about other things.

Technically all abandoned games just being "a bit late on release"
But yeah he scammed his supporters by whole year of monthly payments. He probably already had final build this August also, but decided to delay to milk more money. In my text book this is a definition of scam.

Is there going to be an official wiki site for this game? When I played the demo, I wasn't sure how to do certain things but was also unable to find answers
