You think peoples want puzzles and mini games ? no ! they want good story and good porn
And your game have those 2 elements but they are lost in a sea of problem caused by :
1 the shitty engine and all the habitual problem, grind, useless exploration, no save or rollback...
2 your incapacity of making a game that don't crash every 20 min on this shitty engine
Some people are really good at handling RPGM and they make really good games even with the grind and exploration and lack of save or rollback, but sorry this is not the case here...

Renpy can have the aspect ratio you want, same as rpg maker, put a black background by default like all the old renpy game, or like all the recent renpy game where the dev used 1:1 arts, and that's it !
A black background on each side of a image, or a rpg maker map as a background on each side of the image, what's the difference ?
( Also you can make Screenshots of every map of the game and use those as background for your images, like that no difference compared to the rpgm version )
Yes ! exploring serve no other purpose than making the game longer, you don't search for bonus scene or equipment like in a real rpg so : exploration in a linear plot = time lost for nothing
A simple hub with multiple location choice, or no choice at all since the thing is completely linear

There is already a lot of very talented peoples here who have already made very good renpy remake of rpgm games with wasted potential because of the engine and the game design.... so my message was for those peoples and for all the others, sick of having to endure grindy half broken game just because of a shitty engine

Also, you want people to stop complaining about a renpy remake ? then make your game better !
Use plugins to have a auto save before each dialogue in case it crash, a other one to skip text faster, especially when your cutscenes are sooo long without any pause to save, make understandable map where you don't get lost 3 hours searching where the next thing is, just because you missed a single line of text but you can't rollback because : shitty engine....
No I'm just lazy of playing on a old and shitty engine developed by people who still don't understand all the flaws of their creation and are still not capable of creating a system to save when you want ( talking about rpgm devs here, not you, not your fault their engine still suck... )
