People are very divided on the story. I didn’t try to tell a story about two perfect people who do the right thing all the time. I told a story about broken people whose trauma leads them to do unconventional things but with good intentions. People who have been traumatized don’t usually act the way you’d expect them to. Just as a broken clock does not read the time you would expect from a properly functioning clock.

Lockheart - absolutely love the game. Will sign up on Patreon, but would prefer a $1 tier. I ready your reply to the other commenter who said the same thing, and I get it. I'll consider uping my usual pledge to $3. But at $1 it's set and forget. At $3 it adds up a little faster. (Let's see - licks finger, sticks in air, considers... 3X faster..., about.)
All that said - fantastic game and deserving of everyone's support. Not sure why some negativity in here. Perhaps they need to see the zen therapist. Count back from 3 - stare at penis - reconsider.
One spelling error I noticed. "Queue" instead of "cue". I'll go back through and try to find the specific scene, but in Act 5 for sure.
Please keep up the good work and non carberuderum iligitimati (or something to that effect). The support here vastly outweighs the negs.

Well, what did you expect? This is from the game summary "...When Avalon has a falling out with her mother, she moves in with her adopted Uncle Byron. As they continue to learn about each others deep and disturbing traumas, a romance begins to blossom. They lean on each other, and their friends, as they both continue to heal."
Overcoming trauma can include trying to overcompensate (throwing oneself into a relationship) and to remove the stigma of the elements of the trauma by taking control of them (using a dildo - a thoughtful gift in the situation).
It is an unconventional story-line, but that is one of the reasons I like it. It's not another 'I had to move back in with mom and my sister ..." or "a group of women in the spaceship/school/workplace find me irresistible and want to experience the wonder that is my cock" btw - I like those occasionally too, fantasy is fun and why most of us are here. This is different so if it has wandered off from where you want it to go then try another of the many options on the site. But, the creator has given the outline upfront so there should be no complaints.
Ahaha. This was a fun comment, I liked it. And yes, I know the dollar tier is an important one. But so much of that dollar gets eaten by Patreon, PayPal, and transaction fees. I could be wrong though. Let me do a little more research and I'll certainly consider it!

I've noticed some people understand that these are unique people with their own individual ideas and solutions to problems. And some don't. If a character doesn't do exactly what they would do in the situation, then... they think the story is dumb. And that's really unfortunate because I think Byron had a legitimately intriguing reason for buying the vibrator for Avalon. Although I would certainly consider it a strange thing to do, the reasoning from his perspective is quite interesting. It will allow her to still enjoy sex and get used to penetration again while having complete control over the situation in a solo sexual recovery endeavor. It's quite clever but wildly inappropriate from him. And... that was the point. He's genuinely trying to help but he has no idea how to help or what to do for her.
We're debating on making it an optional purchase so the player can choose to purchase it or not. But we haven't made a firm decision on it yet. Stay tuned!

No......................! Please, Lockheart , take a deep breath and think "Avalon is my game. I will make it how I want to. It is my vision. I am the developer. I am the writer. it is my story." Don't let a couple of bad reviews make you change your story for the worse. Most of your revews are glowing. Reread a few of them to see what the rest of us think.
The vibrator scene is a funny and hot scene, it's very sexy. He's not abusing her, he is joking with her and she likes it! And like you already mentioned, she started it in the morning with coming onto him in a joking teasing way. It's really one of my favorite scenes in the game. Is this scene appropriate for the Hallmark channel (in the US a wholesome family TV channel), not exactly, but that is why we are here, for an exciting, emotional, and hot story.
I really think you should leave the game how it is. I don't want to have to have multiple old versions just so I can play all the scenes that I like. Do you really think anyone is coming to a porn game site like F95 and is so sensitive to theoretical discomfort of the LI (not actual discomfort because she is into it), that they stop playing Avalon? I don't think so. I think some people just like to pick apart what others have done without offering anything themselves. Let them make their own game about a sexual assault survivor who goes into therapy and doesn't even think about sex or affection for 5 years, shutting out all temptation, and spending their time reading at home, or watching movies to try to forget about their pain. See how many people want to play that game.
Is Avalon perfect? Well, nothing is perfect, but how would you even define perfection? Perfect for who? Lets say you changed everything about your game so that kameohawk , the writer of the most recent 3 star review who didn't like the vibrator scene, totally changes his mind about everything and now thinks your game is perfect and is now worth 5 stars. Will the rest of us be happy with all the changes you'll have to make to please him?
Why go through all the effort to please a few people, and displease your fans? Don't look back. Spend your time thinking about what is next and working on the future rather than second guessing yourself over your past decisions in the story.
If you still aren't convinced, go over to the Dev Help forum here (https://f95zone.to/forums/dev-help.113/) and ask experienced devs with years of experience whether they think you should change past scenes in your game due to bad reviews or complaints in the game thread. See what they have to say. I am quite confident that they will tell you to have confidence in yourself, and stick to the story you want. Games developed by committee to try to make everyone happy are not going to be very good.
Be proud of what you've made with Avalon. Despite a few bad reviews, it is almost a 5 star game here. I know you want to get your Patreon numbers up like all devs, and I would love that as well, since you deserve it. However, continually changing your game to try to satisfy people who don't like it already, is not the way to success. Just keep doing what you are doing, try to make the best story you can, and hopefully it will grow in popularity.

You've convinced me. But I still think I will make it optional because even though it is a joke in the end, it really does make some people uncomfortable. I think it's a win / win if it is still in the game but optional. Yeah?
