in the end of the day, without YT we will not get to play this game.
the importance is that YT keep going and learn from past mistakes and figure it out how to find the right motivation and inspiration to work on the game and not playing games all days (its easy, i know), but the reward (not just money) when you have created a game on your own and people are playing it and enjoying it will top all the joy you get from playing other games.

now, for me it was nearly the limit, its not that i get angry or so, its just that if it takes too long without any progress i will lose interests and eventually even any joy of expectations to play it. at that point i could get angry, spit on YT etc, but i know its pointless and in the end also counterproductive if YT actually works on the game (even if slow). what i do is that i say my shit and go or try to not think about it and focus on other things.
now, it seems YT have the wants and will not surrender, well thats good and I hope its not just a desperate call to not fell into despair for all the decisions he made in the past. he need a big carrot and a kick in the ass to get on track, like I do when im doing my projects, as its easy to start doing something else that eat up all the time and energy.

now, we all want to play a new h-game. that is why we are here right? we all enjoy a good game.
theres no point on insulting YT and getting angry. if he fail, we lose a game. like many games we lost because the developer decided to quit, we have a bunch of abandoned projects and tons of lazy patrons already. its not that YT can make it worse, and if we keep bashing him, he will not feel more motivated to work, contrary, it will only fuel the negative energy and make him play even more games he spend time playing.

its not about defending YT or to think he is a great dude, no, its about me and u. WE want to play a xxx-game and the best thing we can do is to manipulate YT to do it. and the shit a bunch of you are posting is not helping.

@Eye-switcher - I will continue to develop the game. Never planned to do anything else. There have been two minor releases in the past 3 months.

Thank you Delmach and Baka. You guys are the reason I've always planned to release the game free. I appreciate the comments, and I hope I can get my shit in order to produce a game worth your time.

Just saw YT's update on patreon, where he wrote an essay to just essentially tell that he will charge his patreons next month, but he doesn't know how far he can progress. Expect a reuploaded prologue with more bugs.
LOL
Can't stay away can you? Glad the post is public, so people are free to read it and see that you're completely misrepresenting what was said. I wrote an essay to detail how Patreon charging changed. That's a pretty important change and worth explaining. I also wrote how I was changing my tiers to be $1, $4, $9, $19, and $48 to offset the new fees so people would not have to pay more.

Then, I explicitly stated that I expected a pledged update this month, but I would not run one if I did not release a major update as well. A reuploaded prologue is not a major update, and I've never claimed it to be. The post is public, so you can read it yourself if you'd like. Compare that to Kerlon's description...

omg, that Just Peekin' picture is nice. now i really want to play a game with that theme, peeking/spying. :D
on that patreon post, nothing strange, and you explain well and offer refund and all that, im sure you will also do that after the pledge if you notice unsatisfactory from your patrons. you also try to find a solution to your patrons so they can continue pledging, that is very thoughtful of you and show that you are a good dude deep down. you also say on the assumption this to tell that you try your best but keep in mind that it could go wrong. its pointless to drag on the past, we are getting somewhere and YT knows his weakness. im a bit worry about Shadows of Mordor but what can we do? a man need to play as well! so here you need to find a "balance", so that you give energy and time to both, like monday tuesday, work, wednesday play game, thursday friday work, and saturday sunday do whatever relax. a working schedule.

Hope those words help then, and im also pledged to Aylias Story, been having the pledge up for a few months, just waiting for you to get it on so uhh, we can get it on. Thats the thing about this site here, from what I have seen there are plenty of people willing to contribute, be it words, helpful tips or money if they really like what they see. And im sure we all like to see more of Aylia.

Just too many projects to really pledge to everyone, and also of course the need to evaluate them before jumping in, especially since there are really not many projects that go by pay per update system. Alright, all done for now.

I don't recall replying to you, so if anything you should stop stalking me. By the way as we speak you are bleeding patrons, you went from ~1350 patrons to less than 1200 in a short timeframe. You should be more worried about that than a random guy posting stuff on a pirating forum. Just an advice, as you know I like to give.

You don't know what my game is, but you're posting in the game's thread and talking about the scripts the game uses. Okay...

There are 4 hotfixes, if you could call them that. One of which was rewritten. The Yanfly and Victor engine scripts are not stock, they've been modified. The BM stuff is stock, but only because it was fixed and uploaded back to BM who then released the new version with a credit to me. The companion scripts and achievement scripts are either completely custom or nearly rewritten. So, not really sure whether you just don't know what you're talking about or whether you're trying to troll me.

As for your question, I'm a massive procrastinator who plays too many video games. Getting better, hopefully...
Deleting 8 pokémon badge examples and adding your own achievements isn't "completely custom" or "nearly rewritten". Changing the resolution from 416 to 480p may be a shocking programming experience for you, but it isn't for other people.

Actually that's exactly what he said. You're running a pledge for releasing an updated prologue. You even put the text in bold.

Your other comment is correct though. He, me and the rest of the critics should stay away from this thread, because soon people will start mistaking this lenghty thread for an actual game. That's the last time I'm posting here. Good luck with your game, I'm sure it will get released before Cyberpunk 2077 and Half Life 3. Because remember, even Duke Nukem Forever got released eventually.

@Delmach - I hope so too!

@Kerlon - I am pretty worried. Thankfully, I've got your motivational responses to fall back on. They're what keep me going! If not for your "help," I shudder to know where I'd be.

Incorrect. Badges were adjust to allow for visbility/invisibility so that you can hide badges before you receive them. Multiple errors were resolved so that stat bonus work from badges, variable switching works, and other outcomes were possible. An entire section was added to allow the achievement script to update so that save compatibility works. The D13 Core was updated to facilitate a few of those changes. This was the script in question, and it's far from stock.

That's far from the only significantly modified of entirely custom scripts. The battle companion system is entirely custom, for example. None of those have anything to do with changing resolution. I never claimed that was the "custom" component. I will add that even the scripts the are not modified, but just configured, still eat up time. Time to evaluate what they do, time to verify that they are compatible, time to configure appropriately. Aylia's Story changes a large portion of the default RPG Maker.

the guy who made this game (lol nice deviant art artstyle btw) is posting like an insane person and lmfao if you ever gave that guy money.
Did you create and account just to say that? I'm currently posting about 2 times a day. Whew! Talk about insane! That's a whole 4, maybe 5, minutes of my day. I'm surprised I have time to eat in the remaining 23 hours and 55 minutes...

As for the art, I never claimed my artwork was great. I've no training, and I only started drawing about 4 years ago. If it makes you feel better to bash it, go ahead. It is what it is.

If you gave me money, thank you. If you regret doing so, remember you can request a refund.

While it can be annoying hearing the game is delayed yet again (I myself get annoyed too, sorry Yummy :p) you people really need to chill out. Why are you getting so upset about a game you are not even paying for?

I really like your artwork, Im tired of so much japanese artwork in this kind of games (games made by western persons) so im glad to see some western artwork in this kind of games, so thank you for that YT and the rest of devs that use this kind of artwork.
And i really want that you have success because being honest Aliyah is freaking hot, so Gambaré you can do it YT.

Also an idea, as my friend Kaliyo you should think to make a game release (Arenus) in Steam (there is plenty of 1oneone games there), or even an Early access.

I honestly liked your artwork as well. I wouldn't have supported you otherwise, where credit is due...

Thank you for the comments. I appreciate it.

The problem with a Steam release Danjuro is the game is free. I've never planned on charging for the final version. So, it'd seem silly to put a pay version on Steam, yet be giving it away otherwise. Not sure if Steam allows for a "donate what you want" option, at least I've never seen it. If it did, that would be a possibility.

Those comments are starting to sound like personal attacks. I'm reminding everyone to refrain from personal attacks because it's not allowed here.
May I point out that constructive criticism (google it) and encouragement go a long way to helping someone gain motivation and do a better job?

Having played the game, here are my thoughts.

1. I like that it doesn't have broken English. Some of games out here use broken English and it bothers me.

2. This game should have been made with MV. The screen is too small and the artwork is blocking one fourth of the screen, sometimes blocking important pieces of maps.

3. Is this really an adult game? It shows some skins and a fair amount of tease. I guess it's probably because this is a very early version.

Now, having stated those and having read the posts in this thread, I can see why people are worked out. I mean the artwork is decent, English is good. I can tell this has the marks of being a quality game instead of just using Daz renders to display nudity and sex. I can understand that they are disappointed deeply because it has potential.
A fair amount of games out here don't even display potential. This one does.

3 years though? I mean 3 years to get this far? I'd say YT is better off doing something else or outsource the work while focusing on what he is better at.

that's exactly what I try to tell him every time, he should focus on what he does well (writing, maybe some minor artwork) and then outsource everything else. There are a bunch of hacks that can do wonders with RPG Maker. Also he should switch to MV, which is a far superior engine.
He can still play director and have his last word on everything, but nitpicking on minor stuff like parallaxed maps is just ballooning the development time so much for little gain. You can outsource parallaxing too at one point. It's sad he doesn't understand this and never will, he is his own enemy.

Having read YT's responses in this thread, I don't think he is willing to change his ways.

I was actually surprised (shocked) that it took 3 years to have this little amount of content. I actually thought you guys were lying, so I checked on his Patreon page. Indeed, it has been that long and more.

I am not going to argue with you.

You have your ways and it's clear that you intend to stick to them.

As for the amount of contents, yes, those are very little for a game that's been in development for 3+ years. I say this from experience. I am backing/following a fair amount of creators on Patreon. I go by the same username there.
