I could see a few reasons why this game is not that popular despite being a well-made game. The "intro" (chapter 1- Branching point chapter 3) part is a bit long with few H scenes/ interesting H scenes. Most coomers who are only after the quick wank don't like games like these, they prefer Nukige (quick H game validation)/ games which just jumps towards H scenes/ actions. Plus if you skip the dialogue (to get to the more interesting parts) then you will not know what the heck is happening in the story. This is a great game with "unique gameplay" but the H part of the gameplay is a bit lacking/few in between. Sure the game is mostly based on fire emblem and all but no other H game (that is based on fire emblem gameplay) is as nice as this.

In other topics, the chapter 2 divine bird treasure drop is pretty great. 18 HP aoe heal with decent range plus debuff clear that can be used infinitely (once per turn) is pretty strong. It makes weaker potions "useless" (unless far from the healer) since it needs money to buy potions (a bit of farming will get you the money but free beats something that is paid). Plus it levels the healer everytime they use it lol. The character who used that is already lvl 16 while the next highest is level 9 lol.

Anyways the "point of divergence"/ choice path in chapter 3 is main route and IF route right? I read from here that there is a true ending path also. Is the true ending another branch of main route? or is it a different branch from main and IF?

yes, and the game also explicitly calls them main and if route during that choice
true ending is part of the main route
the last choice in the game is like a "choose your epilogue" with one choice labelled as the true ending

Amazing game that more of a good tragic SRPG than a H-game
I swear that the last Strech of the game, being on max lust does not feels that impactful, rather, more of a in lore mechanic than corruption even.
The built up for the last session is so epic and moving that the bit where you are given the choice of seeing the lust end is completely detached from the plot and character so far.
This is one of the game that the porn route actually gives you blue balls because it just doesn't works.

Put this in Reviews and give 5 star, so more & more people will play this masterpiece

Honestly, it's really hard to answer this question without giving any spoilers.
It's better to just play the game without knowing anything, so you can enjoy the game to the fullest.

so does clearing the IF route do anything (is it needed for true ending or some shit like give an item/equipment/spell). The only thing I gained from going IF route was an underwhelming story (well it had potential at the start but it just ended abruptly). After using the magic wand of wish, all the relevant characters disappeared (leaving Cui with amnesia) and get sent back to the choice at chapter 2 appearing as if all of it had been a dream. I'm guessing the magic wand of wish will play an integral part in the ending of main route?

There is an interesting dialogue that states if you try to go IF route again that nothing will change (is that true or is it a fakeout?). Dang the whole party could have just ended in the IF in the country of Touhou (it implies there is a problem in the Touhou country too in the IF). Does the IF ending make more sense if you go main route first?

Clearing the IF route should be completely optional.
The IF ending makes more sense with context from the main route since the main route explains everything, but it still remains underwhelming.

Does anyone have a fix for an error when trying to play full screen (F4)? Checked the errors log and it says error c0000005.

And has anyone tried the hardest mode? The one for "masochists only"? I felt tempted except for the halved exp, i like leveling up xD

I'm playing on death march difficulty and the game does not seem that hard yet. It seems comparable in difficulty to hard mode in fire emblem. But, I am also still in chapter 3, and it looks like there is a lot of game left.

I mean if i understand it now they are doing all this partly to suppoert the orphanage but there aren't any children remaining since they have all grown up so it kind of doesn't make sense.

This orphanage is their home, they have nowhere else to live, and they are migrants from another country whose rights are being violated, there is a choice either to live in the slums, or somewhere in the mountains with bandits and monsters around.

I downloaded the game again, and the part where i can't see my character at chapter 5 is solved. I didn't encounter any other bugs during my playthrough so i can't really confirm if other bugs got patched. There might be some bugs that didn't got fixed. You can try to go to this game steam forum and find their discord group and report the bug ?

If by censorship do you mean that if the localizers edited/modified the game in order to not mention children in the orphanage in order to sell it on steam/ have a better mass appeal then no. The game specifically details how the azure orphanage is not a normal orphanage. It is an orphanage for war orphans of the empire, made by the former hero of the enemy of the empire as an atonement. All of the orphans in there are from the empire and since the War with the empire ended long ago no new/younger orphans will be from the empire (the empire is already destroyed). The orphanage is also heavily stigmatized due to being the home of former empire orphans, which means people are unlikely/would not want to have the orphans of normal citizenship to go there.

It's also more work on the localizers just to remove children PNG from the azure orphanage (not that there is one) compared to just translating stuff, also there are children models in game, they are normal citizens and not orphans.
