Always amuses me me regarding the rabid update when, not enough content/need to fap comments etc etc etc...like jesus christ...if your life depends so much on when/if/how a damn game gets updates...I feel pretty sad for you. Sure, there are games/VN's I look forward to but if every single one I follow got abandoned tomorrow, it doesn't affect my life in the slightest really...just go and do something else....

Even more so for something I'm not even paying for anyway....

Choices! Everyone (almost) wants them, but significant choices slow down development and mean that releases don't contain what a player wants, because there wasn't enough time to cover all those choices, or the releases take for...ev...er to come out [see BaDIK].

But it seems that a significant number of posters here don't realize that... or they just don't care - they want their choices and they want them yesterday. I saw one idiot who claimed that the developer wasn't developing.

I guess that's what you get when you have a forum dedicated to pirates. It's a great place to learn about and obtain games - not so much for learned discourse. :ROFLMAO:
Well, having choices is better than having none. lol That's boring.

Well actually this is a big lie.... the image quality from this version and the first one it's barely noticeable

Can you please drop some images where you think quality dropped? You're right that compression is more extensive now - thus quality must go down, but you would have to open single image and zoom in. I wouldn't say you can spot difference just by playing it in renpy on average size screen. But hey, there have been people in mankind ( Veronica Seider) who could spot and detect faces from 1.5 km away. You might be an X-man—no kidding!

Here is my example, that if you zoom in, you can clearly see the difference:

Anyway I keep all the original images/videos in highest res/quality, so reverting back is not a problem... drawback is just disc space/download times it takes for every single player.

Anyone who complains how long an update takes should be ignored. Most of the big games on here update once maybe twice a year and real fans understand and are patient.
not really true some "big games" idk what is your standard for big game and how big you are counting this game to be but for example my dorm updates every 2 months (1.2-2k renders per update) devs first game and he have day job or grandma house updates every couple of weeks sometimes twice a month around 700 renders per update... this is not meant to be offensive agains you or dev if you like this game i understand you are defending it and as for dev well its job for them benefit for being "self employed" is that you can work at your own pace lol

I know at least one dev creating about 300-400 render updates each 2 weeks, with a track record of 3 finished games so far.

This is what I'm trying to make them understand, just because i said the update was small some take the deffensive and took me for a troll, what is actually a good fan?
Someone who deffend the author no matter what or someone who just Being honest? This update was 1mn playtrought and the fact that it was the third update of this year make it acceptable but still it was small tbh

Dev had allready explain it on Patreon you'll know that if you had read the devlog and the fact there is a lot of shittyhead ungratefull to have 3 update in a year without giving a penny the only thing they found to say it's "Dev is milking"

Everybody can make one angle render shot load various pre-made poses on time frame and hit render 30 renders in few minutes. Bad lighting, bad shaders, clunky amateur animations, weird facial expression, no post-process of images, no engagement... I could go on. It's not about quantity, but quality. But just fact you bring this up, I've realised some of you guys can't really tell the difference...

And if you don't see difference in quality of renders, animations + sound effects in my game compared to one you're mentioning... I'm actually stunned you're even hanging out in this forum thread. Just go and support him, forget about this game. It's absolutely ok, if you get dopamine rewards in your brain playing those games, but I don't... at all.

Maybe you need glasses...but have you noticed the quality and 'detail (and by detail I mean scene accessories, lighting, amount going on etc)' of the renders in that VN compared to many others? There's a reason he can churn out those numbers....

Hey, T4bbo, about image quality (I don't think there's any possible discussion about scene complexity, character depth, story, choices and overall gameplay feeling of your game)...
As you showed in your post, some effects of compression are visible when zooming in: quality of shinning on the nose and lips, contour of the lips, skin complexion and some artifacts on the hair, etc..
The thing is, for those of us who play on a big monitor, the image is somewhat always zoomed in and the difference is noticeable. So, my question is, would you be willing to share a lossless version of Babysitters for the picky players?
Even if it's just for patrons, I'm pretty sure I can find a tenner to throw your way every now and then...

Read again what i was writing i wasnt attacking this game or comparing how good or bad they are only stating that big games IMO are those that have big gain in content often and that you are your own boss thus its up to you if you are going to push your self 16h day grinds or if you are going to take it easy but sure if you feel like starting argument that i dont see difference in quality of renders and animations i will gladly point at those differences let me break it down for you

Animations
-your game mmm who are we kidding you talk big game about clunky amateur animations and in your game you have animations with 2 renders in loop after 5 years of development (y):HideThePain:
-grandma house no animations lol
-my dorm decent fps animations that dont look laggy where models dont move just up and down or side to side like on sliders and are well lit and have facial expresions movement in their limbs or breast
-bonus one is amnesia game is mid but its should be example how to make good animations and there is ton of them and they are fire along with models and quality of rendering

Renders (might be harder for me to judge since i download compressed most of the time)
-i start with grandma house they are ok in terms of light and facial expresion things could still improve but you see movement in them how dev did change positions of characters to coinside with whats in dialogue and for it to be more fluid and realistic during mundane dialogue or during lewd scenes
-my dorm one lvl above grandma house at least in terms of shades facial expresion how they are not static for 20 lines of dialogue even blink with eyes and feel more alive they are well lit in scenes where there are candles or fire in background or if they are on sun/in shade etc.
-your game well they are also decent in terms of light shade and also have expresions BUT main problem with your renders is first there is not enough of them to follow flow of the game you are stuck at one render for idk 10 lines or more often and that they simply dont follow what is "happening" in dialogue or what is described
--example 1 new studio BJ with lara (render with dick out she staring at it) dialogue: she stare at it...starts to suck your cock deepthroating it...you stroke her hair...you feel your cock in back of her throat BUT you are still seeing render just her staring at it bruh
--example 2 rough BJ angelica (render with her hand in air) but in dialogue she is jerking you off bruh two renders after (view from back you are holding her by ponytail) dialogue: you push her head down..........she puts it in her mouth runing along your lenght...you keep pushing her head down to take more of you LOL it would be nice to see renders of her doing that but we are stuck seeing mc holding her by her ponytail whole time
--example 3 years later in development dorm room fuck fest from point where she is about to sit on your pp there is fucking ton of text describing whats going on but there is like 5 renders that do not move with flow i am not going to write every line

i can pick on more and more scenes and point things that are outright bad and proving that what you writed your game was and other are not is just loads of bullshit and you should try agains some other game and be honest BUT i have to point out that WRITING is somewhat GOOD for example how scenes are described its hot no point in downplaying it but "immersion" is trash when you cant see jack shit becouse there is not enough renders.

only "BIG" about this game is amount of time already flown from start of the development proces and devs ego to point that he lashing out on users I did not even attack or criticise his work and was engaging in conversation with some other user about what is "big game"
my review is 2* out of 5*
