I had to do some fast and loose regex to add in enough newlines so that all the javascript was comprehensible. This also means that when you play the game, a lot of things might seem s t r e t c h e d o u t v e r t i c a l l y, because the HTML will be interpreted as just... having extra empty lines floating around..
Can we change clowjob variable anyhow? I don't have a save from day 20 and going back would mean again playing those mini games which are a pain
No. The game tracks if the player visited that event passage. There's no variable for that.

I dont know what happened, but my patched html file does not show images or icons and the background is white, but the text and the choices are there, the normal version works fine also the saves are working. does anybody know what happened?
The html file doesn't contain media files. You need the "media" folder from the base game. The patch is only used to replace the original html file that comes with the base game (compressed or not). If you already have the base game, just paste the patch in the same folder where the "media" folder is.
I sent you the 0.15 update-only download link. Download, extract, and copy the "media" folder into the base game folder and it should work.

No. None of the clips have audio, as the audio in the clips doesn't match the text in the dialogs, killing immersion. I've talked about this a few times. It's a design choice I'll reconsider for my next game, but in Back to Freedom, the clips never had and will never have audio.

Today I bring news of the next update. I'm doing my best to launch the next update before the end of the month, but I still don't know if I'll be able to finish it in time. Know that I am working non-stop for this. Now let's talk about what to expect in the next update:
For a long time, many players ask me for something to be able to keep playing between updates. In the next update, we won't have a new chapter of the story. Instead, we will have the addition of the new sandbox mode.
Some things to know about sandbox mode:
1 - The sandbox mode will be available at the end of day 23. From that point on, you can access it through a new link in the left sidebar menu at any time. In this first version, the sandbox mode will have 42 scenes. All of them already available in the story mode.
2 -The sandbox mode is not and will never become the main focus of the game (at least not until the end of the main story). Even so, this mode will have many additions over the course of updates. For now, we only have scenes already present in the story mode with the necessary text adaptations and some changes in some events. But the idea is to have many exclusive scenes and characters in this mode (many will be introduced in this first version). Content that I want to add to the game, but that may never be possible in story mode.
3 - The sandbox mode is not like a sandbox-exclusive game, where there is usually a grind of many stats to advance in events. Instead, I chose to let the player replay events already unlocked in story mode. Think of sandbox mode as a much more interactive gallery, where you can replay the entire event (modified to sandbox mode) and not just the resulting scene from the story mode event.
4 - Money, stats, items, and cars will be shared between the two modes. However, you will not be able to increase stats in sandbox mode (not without using cheats), but you will be able to earn and spend money and items in sandbox mode. You can make money in some ways, such as betting at the casino on weekends at night, participating in Megan's show, and working. Unlike the story mode, the amount of money earned will be proportional to how much you worked throughout the week. You can work twice a day on weekdays. Each time you do this, you'll earn $100. Money earned from work can be collected at the end of the working day. If you don't collect the money, you won't lose it, and you can accumulate as many days as you want before collecting it.
5 - Just like in story mode, every Friday you will have to pay the weekly bills. The total to be paid per week is $620. Keep in mind that you will not be able to continue in sandbox mode until you pay the weekly bills.
6 - The gallery will not be available in sandbox mode, as too many variables are shared and this could cause bugs. Also, whenever you enter sandbox mode, you will start in front of your house on Monday morning. When you exit sandbox mode (link available only in front of your house), you will return to story mode exactly where you left off before entering sandbox mode.
This is just the first version of the sandbox mode and I ask you all to be patient since this possibly will have some bugs (please report all you find). Also, I know there is still a lot to improve and add like new locations, characters' homes, more events, and much more. Constructive feedback is welcome. I hope you all enjoy what I'm doing in the game. But remember: if you don't like the sandbox mode, you don't have to play it, as it won't have any effect on the story mode other than money and items. Think of the sandbox mode as a bonus I'm offering to players who really love the game and want to keep playing after the end of each update.

There is still nothing set for the next game. I have some ideas, but my focus now is on Back to Freedom. The only thing I'm sure of is that the main character will be younger and more inexperienced than in Back to Freedom.

In short, no. The game will remain a visual novel with branches, but it will have a sandbox mode that you can access at the end of the current story mode content. This new mode will not affect the story mode (aside from money and items), which will continue to be developed until the end of the main story.
