IIRC all sex scenes can be avoided and you can pursue/reject the girls you want. But for now the amount of content will be very limited if you go for a single LI, as this game has a lot of characters.

Hopefully the patch comes out soon. I recall it taking several weeks for the patch to be released after last year's update. The game wasn't really worth playing last time until the patch was released since all the interesting options were unavailable.
