Thank you again for the help. I completed the Cold Moors hex, and the village is abandoned. Still, I only have three workers to distribute. Looks like I may be a victim of the bug related to simultaneous improvements. Is there a fix?

That bug was fixed a long time ago. you should not have continued playing from a bugged save but anyway...
The only fix is to play again from scratch or cheat by opening up the console (shift+o) and typing:
population = 4 (then press enter)
freepeople = 1 (then press enter)

I found what im doing wrong. I didnt know that if i wanted to go somewhere, i couldnt do anything else before that. but tnx for answering

Depends what you're doing. Most stuff during the roaming phase are "events" they don't take that long, (like meeting up and fucking a girl somewhere), therefore you can then do something during the strategic phase like go and explore a hex.
But if you something that takes longer (like praying with Shangria, training with Ragna or Aurora) then these things take the full week and then you cannot explore during the strategic phase (but you can still manage the village or give orders to a horde) and you have to move on to the next week before being able to do something else.

You say you only have "three workers to distribute" and that made me think. You actually have a population of 4 because you have a worker which constitutes your first horde...
AS zappalbugs said, check your population counter on the village screen at the top right. What is the number?

Well, you *can* disband the first horde and put that worker to work elsewhere. You can see all assigned workers in the two management screens, except when an upgrade is ongoing. Then a worker is implicitly assigned for that, but not visible elsewhere as far as I know.

I'm lost... tip says I need to meet Elaria in Pontheugh, but when I go there I don't meet her? Wtf am I supposed to do? Everything else seems to lead off of that, so I can't do jack shit.

Spent so long trying to figure it out, trying every tile and every combination I could think of that the relations with the other cities has degraded by 3. Going to have to start again... again!

Pissed off now I've wasted half a day and gotten nothing. Maybe I'll try again another time, maybe I won't.

Take a deep breath. I'm going to guess you met the Pontheugh court. But now you need to gather info on Pontheugh to meet Elaria. Talk to Suk-Yu (Dunes of Sorrow hex) or send a scout To Pontheugh for an info gathering mission. I realize I didn't include that piece of info on the tip about civilized points from Deidra, thanks for pointing it out.
This will be made clearer in v0.3 that includes a walkthrough (available on my Patreon page now for Stallion tier patrons!)
I take into account the feedback from here to improve the game with each version.

As I said already, you need a free worker AND a population of 4. Then you can create a second horde. To get a fourth population, you need to defeat the beast at the Cold Moors.

Not the problem. According to the comments that's the next step after you've met her the first time. But I'm not getting an option to meet her the first time. Regardless I did both of those anyway and it didn't make a difference. Scout said there wasn't much info to gather, and Suk-Yu said she knows nothing.

In the dialogues with Lady Krecill at the Pontheugh court, there is this conditional dialogue option:

"What happened to Lady [elaria] after her parents were slaughtered by the hordes of Queen [kramis]?" if seenelaria == False and pontheughinfo01:

meaning it appears if you gathered the info and you haven't seen Elaria yet. It's quite a simple condition, just two things. That dialogue option takes you to meet Elaria.
Could you open the console (shift+o) and type these variables, ie:
pontheughinfo01 (press enter)
then
seenelaria (press enter)
and let us know what the answer is (the console tells you the value of these variables as True or False)

Vist the lady Elaria in her chambers. It is an involved thing getting there. There are a number of posts about it on this and previous pages.

You really should have picked at least one civilized point at the start of the game...
You can cheat by opening the console (shift+o) and typing: numcivilized = 2

Thanks. That is what I needed. I didn't realize I would need civilized since you are a barbarian. I just went for warrior. I wanted to use my big axe to kill people and my big club well for the ladies of course. Great game.
