Old saves will not work, because we've had to fix some of the variables that were missing or incorrect in the previous build. There are enough changes to that first release that are going to be included in the update that we'd prefer everyone get to replay through anyways.

I personally won't mind replaying anyway. I'm always happy for more content (including variables for additional branching or whatever going forward), and I'm glad at least one restart is getting out of the way early on. It's a lot harder if you're on something like v0.51 and then have to replay literally hours of content.Yeah, I've fixed the phone images so it doesn't constantly say Saturday at 9:23 PM. Fixed the textbox opacity, and added a new outline to the text font. Fixed some other issues with images and also added a new animation if you go with Valeria. I'm not totally sure about saves tbh. I had to go back and add some variables, not sure if that will mess them up, I'm assuming so though. We also added a gallery.
And the biggest bonus, of course, is that we get to spend more time with each of our lovely ladies. I won't complain about that.

Yup, I think it's a great addition. We also recently added named saves which is going to be very important with the amount of paths in the game. Excited for the future

I don't have any problem with named saves, but the vast majority of people either overlook or don't seem to realize that Ren'Py by default allows naming of pages. If naming saves has to do with saving various paths, you could always name "Page 1" of saves "Zenda Route — Page 1" and rename "Page 10" to "Mora Route — Page 10" or something. I think named saves are fine, but a lot of people tend to complain and act like they can't distinguish saves one from another. But that ability is already built into Ren'Py . . . unless a dev specifically overrides it for some reason.
I honestly had no idea you could do this. Appreciate the tip!

Fantastic start to this game btw, on my seat awaiting the next release!
I don't know if anyone else already did it, but this here adds a small black outline to the dialogue, making it easier to read on light backgrounds, especially if the textbox is off.
Soon, not giving out a date yet but I have about 3 more scenes to finish rendering and some animations to render as well.
Here's a quick little image of Val that we rendered but aren't going to use.

Nice game!
about 7 minutes in I started to get super confused and was like "did I skip the prologue somehow or is this MC in witsec" I even went back and restarted the game and was pleased to see I was right lol.
The renders are beautiful the animation (singular?) is well done and the female character models are beautiful. Well proportioned and each girl looks unique rather then blending together the way some daz models do.
I am pleased to see the authors have the story pre planned and a set # of chapters (though I'm sure this will be slightly flexible as they go). So often it seems authors don't have a set time frame for completing their story so it just drags and drags so knowing it'll be 5-6ish chapters gives hope that won't happen here.
Talk about shitty luck for the MC though being recognized on day 1 in his new school. Dunno how the author solves that little kerfuffle since the dean saw it (and knows the Marshalls) since IRL he would just be relocated again instantly. Interested to see how the story unfolds.

It's not like it was hidden, though: the name of the game is Bare Witness. It's also not like the secret is kept from the players (for very long); you literally find it out in this first chapter of the game.

Okay, I have to admit that I thought maybe he was in Witsec but I wasn't happy with the ending which revealed it. The US Marshall in charge of the MC's safety is an idiot if they placed him in a small liberal arts college in upstate New York (IIRC?) and didn't know that someone from the MC's hometown/a former classmate/former friend was there. That is one of the two weak parts of the otherwise excellent first installment (the other being the fact that someone who had a voyeuristic stalker the year before tries to tempt the MC into spying on her and her roommate the first night after meeting him and then calls him a hateful term when he doesn't
).Regardless of those two issues I look forward to seeing where the story goes from here, the devs have done many things right so I can "cut them some slack" until I seem the next couple of installments.
It is intensely weird to see Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch debating the merits of a porn game.

Release schedule has been amended, as we released to our top-tier patrons yesterday. Bronze patrons will get the latest chapter tomorrow, and it'll be public on Sunday, the 25th.
