Nothing worked, spent 3hrs tinkering. Tried resizing the BWLogoMenuWindow2.png to 1000x1000 like you suggested but would only go to 1000x999 using Gwenview (I'm on steam deck). Someone also said go smaller 512x512 but same issue, would only go to 512x511. Tried copying the png file someone else used, they said it worked for them but not for me. Even tried using the png file from the steam build, still borked. So in the end i gave up and just went with the latest steam build. If the only difference between the 2 versions are music and mod support then who cares? As long as i get to play the game and besides the steam build is more updated anyway.

Actually, with the Steam version, you'll enjoy all the many path fixes, a newer Ren'Py engine, dialogue fixes and (if desired) more translations, etc. I'm also working on the finishing touches of a Walkthrough DLC that will be released soon, which you'll be able to buy on Steam.

There's actually a 12th ending, but might be a bug? It's the Val(erie) route but you don't say you love her at the end. This triggers the Alone ending, but at the end of the credits, you get a short scene.

It's technically another ending but not sure if it even makes sense. I feel that that scene should have just been added at the end before the alone sequence starts and just leave it open ended ending instead. It would make more sense that way.

sounds like a bug because the only thing that happens after the credits is the shelby reveal if mc is not on vals ending

This is an unpatched bug in the Patreon/Itch version. This bug was resolved in the Steam release.

Yeah, I realize you'll always get this cut-scene at the end of the credits if you got Val pregnant even if you end up being with someone else at the end (this scene would make sense for those purposes, just doesn't make sense for Alone ending).

Correct, which is why it is officially a bug. Val Legacy ending + SadLife is a no-go. I fixed it in the Steam release.

Bare Witness may be complete, but some of the characters will return in future games.

You need enough points with all three of them and then to invite Mora in when she turns up on your doorstep to deliver movie-night pizza (if you don't have enough points with all of them, I believe she declines the invitation, or you just can't invite her in the first place). I think to get enough points with Mora, you need to make pretty much every positive choice with her prior to that scene. The same probably goes for Heidi and Athena too.

You do have to be more careful with Heidi and Athena, there are a couple choices with them that are one-or-the-other. If you're actually tracking the points, you need a minimum of 8 with each of them.

the backstory of the MC is crime related, but without spoilers, it's all that is, his back story. It plays a part in the story, especially in the final chapter, but the game itself is more of a slice of life sort of game, it doesn't revolve around the crime plot. Not much to do with school either, more focused on relationship building with the girls.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with this one bud, it's in my top 10 for sure. It has some great LI's and honestly the best endings that I've ever seen in an AVN. There are 11 possible endings from what I remember and all very different.
Story wise it's not winning any awards, but it's good enough IMO.

As the others have said it's not a problem, IMO. I'm a bit fed up of crime storylines in the games I've been playing, but that's not what we have here. Quick spoiler for what the other posts are talking about: The MC witnessed a crime and is in witness protection because of it. From there it plays out as a college romance or harem builder, with "college" only being mentioned as that's what he is there for (there's barely anything that takes place in the college itself). You do get a flashback of the crime in question, and then the last chapter, which is basically the epilogue after you've made all your choices and set your path, is the resolution of the WITSEC element. Also as mentioned, it's one of the very best, IMO, in terms of overall game aspects and endings.

Though on the "harem builder" aspect, I'd instead describe it as having multiple different poly endings. You can end up in a pretty big polycule that satisfies the harem tag here, but there isn't a way to end up with every LI in a single playthrough as two LIs are monogamous-only. The poly routes are absolutely worth it though if you like those types of relationship structures, as they are in my opinion some of the best I've seen in AVNs.

One other thing to note, and the Steam page mentions this too, but this was the devs' first game and the art at the start is not nearly as good as near the end. So don't be put off too much if at first it doesn't fit your expectations based on preview images.

Lastly, the Steam version contains numerous bug fixes not fixed in the Patreon version. So I'd recommend the Steam one, even though they had to replace the music.

and incredibly, the solo LIs are just as satisfying, if not more. So I have high hopes for the story of HD, even if it will end differently.
