American Football was named after Rugby Football and that'd be because of the British which despite being "Football" you see people running with the ball in their hands in Rugby Football.

It's called Rugby Football, they just dropped the Rugby part of it. Check your own naming conventions first. As for you being anti-american, the severity of injuries is higher in Football than it is in Rugby and the rate of injury is similar so by that metric Football is the more dangerous of the sports. Most of the things British people whine about actually has a basis with them so maybe it's the Brits with the problem. Gasoline, the Imperial Measurement system, Football. Gasoline was a name brand before the British decided they were "special snowflakes" and started calling it petrol, the imperial measurement system was the British standard of measurement and that's why the colonies used it to begin with but the British were too irresolute to stick with it, and Football was based off the rules of Rugby FOOTBALL that's your name for it and they're running around with their hands so people in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones snowflake.
