I have tried the normal version on several drives, same result.Nope, there is no need for any additional renpy installs, those renpy games usually come as all-included.
Yes, thats odd, particularly if you have those issues with a few games only, supposing all renpy games finished downloading ok, all were unpacked ok, and all of them are in the same directory c/documents..?
Could you try a compressed version, or any of those downloaded already (supposing you have them as rar/zip), to extract it somewhere apart the C partition (on D, E..)?
You could also check renpy version being used to compile/build game (text file named script_version in GAME/game/) and then try to replace complete renpy folder (GAME/renpy/) in game that doesnt load with renpy folder of the game that loads properly (compiled in the same renpy version). Regarding those versions, for renpy 7+ there usually should not be problems if you use a newer renpy scripts/files when replacing the older ones.
I also tried replacing everything in one working renpy game with the game and other directory's / files from the full version, same error.
In Time Loop Hunter which I can run the normal the version, in the script file is (6, 99, 14, 3)
Just now I tested the crunched version, and it works!!!! yeah.....
I will look for crunched versions of the other games too, one of which is good girl gone bad,
I have now d/l 3 other compressed versions of games that would not run normally, all run.
Full disclosure, this is a mac running windows through bootcamp. As far as I know when booted to windows it is no different than a normal windows machine, except for this was all set up and loaded in the last few weeks with the latest windows 10 load I could get. I set this up becasue I was tried of rebuilding game versions for the mac, and some games, just could not get to convert. ;-)
Thank you for the help. Still odd though.
