the game has a built in walkthrough, whenever you open up the map, there is a button you can press that tells you where to go.

There is an almost up to date walkthrough on the dev's site/discord. Also, clicking on the top of the tower in the smuggler's village unlocks all scenes.

Based on chats in the discord, that's supposed to be alia following you around and watching you.

The game itself is very short. Takes an hour if you're playing for the first time. Clicking the top of tower will increase your day speed which will help in better spice collection and sending messages to fremen through the map rather than meeting them and telling them to move. It also unlocks the gallery temporarily.
