Whoever voted "angry" at my commission of Vargas' "V" character blackmailing Sage, I'm guessing you're one of those people who complains on here at every hentai game that shows up with sexual extortion as a plot device.

Hi,

Did a little rework on my last render. There's an update to the lighting, the shaders, little changes in expressions, different framing and i made a completely new Josy Model. Feedback is always appreciated:

My main grip is with Josy's skin shading. Perhaps she looks too tanned and also the gloss on her skin looks a bit too much.

NTR is not for everybody. Some people hate it. By the way, people, there's an old game available here that, depending on your choices, may hit you like a truck with NTR content: Babysitter, by T4bbo.

Hi, thanks for your feedback. I also wasn't sure if the tan is a little bit too much. For the gloss i chose for the Glossy Layer Weight 0.1, Glossy Reflectivity 0.8 and Glossy roughness 0.3 . Maybe this is already too much?

Hmm... The thing is that a value of 0.1 like yours for the weight of the glossy layer seems small already. Maybe is from the dual lobe specular channel that she is getting the glossy aspect? If I'm not mistaken, for skins with the usual Iray Uber Base shader, the application first applies the dual lobe specular settings. Then, after that, it comes the turn of the glossy layered channel. And finally, on top of that, there's the top coat channel.

Anyway, here, this is the default look of the skin in my preset of Josy.

2025_02_my_josy_preset_with_default_skin_shading.png

And that is with only the first skin shading channel at work: the dual lobe specular. Both the glossy layer and the top coat have zero weight there.

Now that I look at my preset of Josy, she looks pale, honestly. Let's try to give her darker skin. I'm no expert and surely there must be more/better ways of doing this, be aware of this. With that said, going through her skin and genitalia surfaces properties, I see that the translucency color is white (255, 255, 255). Giving this property a darker tone (something like 213, 213, 213) will get us this result.

And what about the shine of her skin? It looks kinda rough/dry now. Remember what I said before that only the dual lobe specular channel is at work here by default. Let's try to tweak its values then to get something that looks like she went through some skin care treatment, OK? I get the next look by increasing the dual lobe specular weight from 0.65 to 0.90, then by reducing slightly the roughness of the two individual lobes and finally by reducing the base bump of her skin from 5 to 3.

I hope that this information can be of any use to you. :)

Wow, that's awesome! A big big thank you for these informations. I have to say it's all a little overwhelming, especially for a beginner like me :) . But step by step: I already found out that i can set the translucency color to get a darker skintone. But i noticed a strange behaviour when i change the translucency weight afterwards. Per default the translucency weight is at 1.0 in my case. If i now set it to for example 0.8 to dial back the tan a little bit, then i get strange color differences on the head, arms and legs. The skincolor on the arms is brighter than the color on the torso. You can see it here on my screenshot:

I don't know why this is but as you already said it's the wrong way for changing the skincolor anyway.

I tried to just change the translucency color and applied the changes to the specular weight, lobes and the base bump as you said. Works like a charm! Thank you! Although i don't really understand what these values exactly do. What exactly are the specular lobes and the base bump for example?

Sorry for that many questions, maybe i should do some more tutorials :).

My Josy model also seemed too dark, aka DPCs late Season 2-3 rework, I liked the way better she looked in the early game. Changed the settings through the same surface menu, but I used Transmitted Color - the same palette, but lighter.

The dot at the top is approximately what the color was before the changes.

You can also do it like me. Don't worry too much about skincolor or lighting or what not. Just load the model, pose it and render.
Everything else comes with time.
Important is: have fun! Don't want too much at the beginning. Don't pressure yourself. It will come to you over time. :)
