With chapter 5 the new patch contained 2 rpa-archives for the scripts : scripts.rpa and scripts_season2.rpa. (Around 10 MB in sum) Newer versions of these files were included in the patch 5.1, so DPC simply overwrote the complete scripts. I expect similar for chapter 6.
When using unren on chapter 5, the scripts were extracted to *.rpy and *.rpyc files located in the game folder and the folders game/scripts and game\season2\scripts.
If the new chapter 6 patch contains newer versions of scripts.rpa and scripts_season2.rpa, it probably should be enough to just remove all the *.rpy and *.rpyc files located in the game folder and sub folders to get a new clean version. If you used mods, savegames likely won't work, but savegames are small files of around 1 MB, so they are easily shared.
