Status update Episode 7
This week I've been writing dialogue and coding phone and free roam content.
I haven't posed many static renders, but I did pose all animations for one lewd scene, and they are currently rendering.
There are 13 animations in the queue, and 173 animations are completed. The duration of the completed animations, so far, is 12 min 15 s; roughly 3.5 minutes longer than episode 6.
I have 2 ½ planned lewd scenes left to pose for, so I will likely overshoot last week's estimate a bit. 200-230 animations total for episode 7 is the new estimation.
Next week, I will continue to write the story and code.
I'm making good progress, but there's a lot left to do under the hood despite the high render and animation count.
So, let me try to paint a picture of the current state of the code for you.
The update's main file has ~7100 lines of code; it can be compared to episode 6 with ~11100.
The free roam code of episode 7 has ~6300 lines; it can be compared to episode 6 with ~5200.
I've mapped out most events in the update, and I have ~30 scenes (normal scenes and including any free roam events and/or hangouts) left to write and pose art for.
The episode will likely be bigger than episode 6 when I'm finished.
The reason updates are getting bigger is that I don't want to cut any story content to fit a deadline.
I'm not counting the lines of code written for the new feature I revealed a few weeks ago (I won't spoil what it is if you chose not to read that update), but content-wise, it has ~600 GUI elements (Rendered and/or photoshopped) and 73 script files.
I hope this gave you a slightly better understanding of what's going on when I say that I'm writing/coding.
In poll news, Titty sucking and Groping/Squeezing won the recent poll for animation types. They will get featured in a lewd scene in episode 7.

This week we get more consistent numbers, but the end result is about the same: static renders are probably a long way from finished. DPC completed 16 animations this week, and 213 static renders in the last two weeks. That brings his overall average to about 15.8 animations and 179 statics per week, but that average can vary considerably (especially for statics) depending on what DPC focuses on. No new word on how many renders he thinks will be in Episode 7, so don't expect any revelations from the charts.

So it really comes down to how much coding is left and how many statics he wants. I'd continue to guess middle of April myself, but March-May is still all we can say for sure (though early March should now be considered unlikely).
In other news, it sounds like we're getting a new (or at least reworked) mini-game. Oh, and Envy is looking good. Normally that would not be surprising, but poor after Camila's wallpaper I'm not taking that for granted anymore.

Any reason why I would be getting Exception has occurred at the beginning of Episode 6 on all of my saves? Right where Quinn animation begins. I never had this problem before today.

I'm fairly certain the term "simp" came from the the term "simpering". How many evil dudes in the movies/cartoons have called their underlings, "you simpering fool" when the lackey is trying to ingratiate himself to the boss when in turn the boss is simply just using him and doesn't give a fuck about him.
Same goes for these guys trying to please women who either don't even know they exist or are just using them. It's like watching dudes on their keyboards trying to impress some girl on a porn channel. The girl just wants their money...
Of course, as as cryhwks states, it's been bastardized by the unintelligent denizens of the internet. Now if you open the door for a girl, or compliment her, or even give her the time of day you're a "simp". I'd suggest those who use the term fall under two categories:
- Jokers, insulting their friends for a laugh
- Losers who want to sound alpha ("I don't have to raise a finger, girls just suck my dick because I'm so awesome"). Yeah, no girl is anywhere near your dick...
"Cuck" (cuckold), on the other hand, totally has its place. It's basically just a pathetic guy whose wife is cheating on him. I don't see it getting misused so much.
