DPC had a hard time dealing with the fact that sites like F95 are existing and that he cant do a thing about it that his game will be out here and on other sites for free... but he mangaed somehow, and to be fair... without F95 his game wouldnt be even close that sucessful for sure.

But as i think DPC is, i have a real hard time to imagine that he can deal with scamming like this in any way. But he has to if this game should go on... but yeah, dont see that.

Obviously, DPC would surely prefer every player of BaD to buy the game on Steam, GOG, or be a patron. Having said that, while this is a pirate site and many people here play the game for free, having someone else sell your game is more galling because it means those players were willing and able to pay money for the game but the money went to someone who did absolutely nothing. That would piss me off a lot more than F95, too. DPC is a bit of a victim of his own success and discovering that whenever a lot of money is involved, there will always be someone trying to steal from you. Hopefully, he'll learn to cope more effectively, as unfortunately this problem will never go away completely. I mean, look at what has happened to the music, film, game, and porn video businesses. They ALL deal with piracy constantly and have for many years. It's simply a part of doing business anymore.

my guess is that he didnt want to advertise this to non-paying supporters, you know how paranoid he is when it comes to money (not that I blame him xd)

Same thing for me, actually, I'm here for how invested people are in the game.

But I know we're not in the majority, I wouldn't know any of the games I play (and I support 5 of those artists in Patreon, no expensive hobbies, helps) if I didn't get them here beforehand.

Now, people getting it for free, that's publicity for DPC, he knows that, what I think angers him, is people making money on his name. That's a POS move, and I understand him.

Absolutely agree, and that is exactly what i tried to say too... (well my english and phrasing is just not that good)

In the end, DPC has to find a way to live with the piracy thing, and i think he did, cause the game development didnt stop so far... and his game can be downloaded for free all over the place, just google it.

But i think he will have a MUCH harder time to accept the scamming. to get your game stolen and than resold is an issue that would bother anyone way more than just the piracy thing.

And like i "know" DPC, i have a hard time picturing him dealing with this... well lets hope for the best. But its VERY naive to think this scamming will stop...

Again, this doesn't mean Zoey is a bad character by any means, but I think it's definitely setting her up to fail. The way her return was framed requires that she have a huge impact on the MC's mindset, but for most players her return will be much less weighty. That's a terrible situation to be in.

We don't know what the relationship between Zoey and the MC was like after the first two months. She may have been at the same point as it is with the people at B&R currently. But then Zoey still spent about 3 years more time with the MC than anyone else.

Interlude shows several important aspects of the relationship between Zoey and the MC. The MC was more introverted at 15 and Zoey got him to open up more. On the other hand, Zoey was a wild girl, which the MC tamed. Furthermore, the two have developed a familiarity with each other that no other person has with the MC. Zoey and the MC can tell what the other person is thinking just by looking at them.

Examples. Zoey says to the MC that when he does that with his mouth, he always tries to play something tricky on his guitar. The "do it" is so ingrained in Zoey that she even says it to Bret in the bar. She was thinking about the MC at that moment because it wouldn't have happened otherwise.

Now when I take those examples and compare them to the characters on B&R, no one comes close to that familiarity. And that is exactly what will cause jealousy among the new LI and friends. It doesn't matter if the MC fucks Zoey because Zoey is closest to the MC on a mental level.
