The house is currently theirs but who's to say it was back then? Also, given (in your scenario) the 3 people in the photo don't live in the mansion who are we to assume the mythical fourth person does?

There's other explanations like I said. How about the house belonging to Miranda (the red head). That way the photo is of her and her friends on her property. The fact it changes hands to the Royces even makes some sense given Miranda is the spitting image of Bianca (Jill's childhood friend) and they share a necklace.

Let's delve into dalli_x territory with this one. Why would the house be such a focal point, but only really be relevant on the Jill path? Because banging Jill will likely get MC access to the house. Why would that matter? Something he finds in the diary.

A clue to recovering, perhaps, something of significant value from the house, even if it's just a copy of his birth certificate (or hers) that gives him solid proof of who his family actually is? A buried safe that she knew the combination to, that was covered in renovations before the Royce family moved in? An actual fat stack of old cash in a nice bundle that's hidden behind the air duct in the basement on a supporting i-beam?

What could it be?!
(edit: While I am being sarcastic, this could be the key to MC's real wealth being revealed, so he absolutely gets to rub it into Tybalt's face. He's better looking, he's more well hung, he's legitimately nicer to Jill, and he's filthy fucking rich, something Tybalt only plays at being).

it is interesting that an MC who has not courted Jill, at least until the picnic, cannot recognize the house in any way, but then again even if he has been there he still does not recognize it, at least the first time he sees the photo

this leads me to think that in the end it will still be Jill directly who will recognize the photo by somehow becoming aware of it, the road to discovering the "truth" about Lynette will still have to go through Jill, hopefully nothing too unnecessarily dramatic

the only thing we know about Lynette is that because of her father she has had to move house often, which leads me to two considerations:

• the house in the picture could be Lynette's house at that time
• how close could the friendship between Lynette and the other girls be if she was constantly moving?

I'll stick to the theory that Bianca will be the key for we and MC discover who was his mother. This is one of the main plots so it can't be tied just to Jill path. Probably Jill will introduce MC and Bianca in the non-Jill branches too.

Either way, MC and Jill are good friends when we don't pursue her. Because of that i hold my breath that Jill can be a bridge to MC and Biaca, if she will be a relevant character for the main story. We'll see.

Because I have an in-game photograph of Miranda and Lynette next to each other. She explicitly calls her her "best friend". I then freely admit it is a THEORY that Miranda is Bianca's mother based on the fact they're the absolute spitting image of one another and they share an identical necklace. I'm using in game evidence to suggest a theory.

This is opposed to your idea (that you're presenting as fact) where Lynette has never been seen with Amelia, has never said anything regarding Amelia and her only link is a photograph in a location Amelia has spent time in.

Also, we don't know when the photograph was taken and saying you grew up somewhere doesn't mean it was from birth. The diary entry says it came from a photo album Lynette was given. There's no evidence that photo is recent beyond their similar appearances. Viv and Miranda visit Lynette in her new home. It's safe to assume it was taken before she left for the new home. There's time for the Royce home to change hands between whenever that photo was taken, her moving house, her meeting Neil and her getting knocked up and giving birth. Jill could have actually been born into that home without it belonging to the Royce's when then photo was taken. She's only 3 years older than the MC.

For the record... I'm not saying I don't believe Jill's mother knew Lynette. I'm saying there's no proof thus far. My issue (and other peoples) is you claiming it to be a known fact. It isn't.

My MC is not fucking Jill and is not on his way to her. Besides, the MC has the picture with the house in the background and would recognize it if he were standing in front of it.

How could he get there? The MC helps Jill with her concert, and Amelia is in the audience. The Royce family invites the MC, Maya, Josy, and Derek to dinner because the MC made Jill's dream come true. This would also clear up the Maya preview. You need something nice to wear if you're already invited to the Royces' house.

The MC doesn't need to find a birth certificate or a safe. He has a contact person and can also ask who the previous owners were. The Royces should know the name of the previous owners if they bought the mansion.

If it has always been the Royce mansion, the Royce will know Lynette because there is a photo of Lynette making an ass of herself in front of the mansion.

Yes. It could have been them. It could merely be a camera on resting on a fence post, with a timer. It could be any number of things. Having it be this magical invisible Amelia is simply impractical to draw from what's presented. If she was such a good friend you'd think they'd have mentioned here when the three of them (Lyn, Miranda, and Viv) were out on the town, or virtually at any point before this in the diary when she mentions her friends.

Your basic saves are merely the game choices you've made. For scenes and render unlocks you need to copy the persistent file from the original saves folder as well.

If for some reason your PC didn't put it into the default game install path, look under %appdata%\RenPy\BaDIK-whateverXYZ for it instead.

being totally honest here, he could very easily increase the quality of his product and/or the speed with which its released if he brought on other talented people to lighten his load. i understand he is likely a control freak and doesnt want other people "messing up" his baby, but pragmatically speaking there is a point where there is just too much work for one man to reasonably do. there is a lot of busywork that he could delegate to other people that would free him up to spend more time on the aspects of the game's production that he enjoys most (i dont care what he says, im 100% sure he doesnt love doing everything single thing in game development, he still does them but im sure there are parts he LOVES doing and the rest he merely TOLERATES doing).

we are currently at like 2 episodes every 12 months and who knows if that timetable will get worse as things move forward. i KNOW he could get these updates out faster with help, and with how much he makes from patron and the steam sales there is no reason to not speed up production if possible (unless he is just milking things without being obvious about it like Milfy City).

But in spite of that, he's still working 12+ hour a day and (some?) weekends. He's obviously crazy invested in this. It's what he wants to do.

He could put in half the time, release each episode in quarters, and therefore put out each smaller episode every three months, and still be well ahead of the competition.

He could do that, and that would shut up everyone who is complaining about waiting so long. 3+ hours gameplay every three months, sounds like a dream come true.

So why doesn't he just do that?

Because he doesn't fucking want to. It's that simple.

People always complain, but my motto is, "it could always be worse".

Any other developer with DPC's current clout, would not be working as hard as him, and would be releasing a lot less in the same time span, and the game wouldn't be as good.

If you look at mpa71's BigTable™, the evidence is there, while the development time is trending upwards (and he's acknowledged that and is trying to keep that under control), the output is also trending upwards, but at a greater rate.

So he's working his ass off on this project (unlike Milfy City, which was a guy taking money for doing absolutely nothing for years, BaDIK is a guy taking money and working long, long hours, every single day of the week), and he's happy to do it.

He's already spent 3+ years working like this, that's an unbelievable amount of commitment. I'd comfortably assert that no one here on this board (developers or members) works like this guy. There is no game here that provides the quality and quantity of gaming experience within the same time span. All the crowd favourites, while exceptional games in their own rights, deliver a lot less on a similar schedule.
