I am pretty sure that its said that Dawe's family owns it, but since I'm replaying right now, I will return to confirm, or deny this.
On the contrary. It is implied in EP8 so Dawe has no way to kick Troy out of the Gym. Troy was kicked out of the Alphas for beating Dawe. If his family owned the Gym, Troy would no longer be a member of the Gym.

The gym will belong to the college. The lady at the front desk is Maya's mother. Maya lives not far from the college and visited the college often during high school. How I know. Josy thinks to herself in EP4 that they should visit the college more like Maya did....

Guess why the gym receptionist is rude in EP8. Maya's mother sees the MC going to the gym with Josy. She is the reason Maya attended college and why in EP3 it is implied so Maya knows Chad.

It's interesting that some people think that not outting a gay dude is like the line they won't cross, but it's OK for him to physically assault others, smash other people's property (he was their leader when they dildoed the DIK mansion for the first time), lie to a girl and string her along for at least a year under false pretences, and cheat on her while doing it.

The guy is a cunt.

People hate on Quinn, but is she forcing girls into prostitution, forcing anyone to take drugs? It is sad that the only unwitting person to Quinn's escapades is also Sage...

But yeah, if Sage hired a private investigator to check up on Chad, he'd come back to her and say, "Your boyfriend is gay". It's up to her how she handles it.

So from the mc's perspective, the guy who attacked him for no reason, the guy who smashed up the DIK's windows (and could have been involved in the total trashing of the mansion - although I don't believe that, it seems the mc does), the guy who was using and cheating on Sage, that guy doesn't deserve any free passes.

And even if you do tell Sage, when she confronts him he just lies straight to her face. She's basically saying, I understand, I get this all now, you don't need to lie to me anymore, and he just lies anyway.

So yeah, like no worries says, fuck him.
I don't think anyone is saying any of Chad's many sins are *okay*, but as the saying goes, two wrongs don't make a right. We can't control Chad's actions. We do get some say in what the MC does.

I'm still inclined to tell Sage, but there was a distinctly non-zero chance she could have outed Chad in a fit of pique and felt much, much worse about it after the fact. It's fortunate we didn't learn Chad's secret until after Sage had a chance to cool down a bit.

Sage cheated because she was feeling seriously neglected . And she felt justified because he was already doing it.
That's what Sage did. I'm more interest in why she did it (or at least tried to if the MC rejects her). Was she trying to make herself feel better, or Chad feel worse? Obviously it's not 100% one or the other, but which was the primary motivation? I'm inclined to think it was predominantly the latter.

Considering Sage comes on strong with the mc when she first kisses him in her room (even if you stop it), if that progressed to sex by episode 7, even if nothing else happened between, I could understand how Sage sees that as cheating, even if she didn't physically fuck the mc until after the dumping.
But that's the thing, the relationship with Sage doesn't progress to sex in this case. The MC shuts her down hard in Episodes 3 and 5, then absolutely nothing sexual happens between them until she points out she's no longer with Chad (then jumps the MC's bones at the first sign of weakness).

To me, that seems like a an almost textbook case of 'trying' to cheat on Chad: she was in the market, but couldn't seal the deal until she became single again. Yet for some reason DPC specifically made her view that as successful cheating. Just strikes me as interesting.

I guess it wouldn't be a question of motive but I feel like it'd take some long explanation for how that chain of events happened. I had an initial theory about Chad and Troy getting into a relationship fight but I took it back after thinking about it some more. ffive actually suggested that the jocks might have gone looking for the MC to fuck with him but then found Troy instead or something along those lines. I feel like that might be more plausible. It kind of follows a logical sequence of events because otherwise why would they have done it at the specific timing, you know? It'd need a completely separate explanation from DPC when a simpler one is up for grabs.
Think of it this way: if you're right, why did Dawe go looking to attack the MC at that specific time? The MC had his confrontation with the alphas the day before and hadn't seen them since then. So why did Dawe wait? The most likely answer is that it took him a day to track down the MC's dorm room, right?

Same thing would apply to Troy: Dawe sees Troy on the first day of classes (possibly at the gym). It's the first time he's seen him this semester and Dawe decides to make it clear Troy isn't welcome around campus because he's a dirty homosexual. Dawe finally tracks him down at the end of the second day and proceeds to bet him up (with a posse, naturally).

Seems just as valid as the jocks going after the MC to me.

Which episode is it that has the scene of Burke seeing the video of MC and Jade? I actually did that scene but then abandoned that save because I still wanted to keep on the main girls route. I'll have to go and download the other guy's save just in case something happens in episode 9.
Burke watches the video of the MC with Jade in the ending montage of Episode 6 (right after he deletes Mona's scholarship data). This requires: a) you slept with Jade and b) told Derek about it (both in Episode 4).

Oi, ename are you going to do an episode 9 review? If so, can you please include a short spoiler free for-Kellermann section at the top of the post? Big ask I know, but I can throw in a guaranteed like reaction for your trouble or even upgrade it to a jizz in muh pants reaction if that will sweeten the pot. No rush either because I don't care when/if I play. Mid-January or later review is no problem.

Anyway, since your concerns with this game are near identical to mine, I am just going to search for your review and then decide whether or not to fuck off from this and save the bandwidth. My interest level has been rock bottom lately and anything less than a stellar rating from you and I will likely relegate this one to the porn game dustbin. Haven't played since Interlude(?) and it is hogging up vital fap storage space.

I think the only episode storyline I am still mildly interested in at this point is identity of secret blackmailer(s)/voyeur running around B&R. Don't care about Zoey return, don't care about the meeting at Burkes, don't even care about butt-fucking Jill anymore. Even lost interest in this Halloween party that I had been asking for since first arriving at thread. Can't get in the mood for a Halloween at December.
I don't know if I have sufficient devotion to gingers to give a proper Kellermann-centric review, but I'll see what I can do.

The Alphas know Troy and Troy was an Alpha. Therefore, they know so Troy does not play a guitar and will not have thought so it is his guitar. The Alphas did not beat up Troy. Chad was still the president of the Alphas at that point. Through Riona we know so the Alphas are afraid of Chad and Chad would not let the Jocks beat up Troy. There is a difference between the Jocks talking bad about Troy and beating him up. That's absurd.
Eh, Dawe clearly does not like having to see Troy around, and it's clear things got physical between them in the past:
Dawe_on_Troy_1.jpg Dawe_on_Troy_2.jpg Dawe_on_Troy_3.jpg Dawe_on_Troy_4.jpg Dawe_on_Troy_5.jpg
I don't think it's unreasonable to think things could escalate to a fight again.

As for the guitar, if my theory is correct and Troy was kicked out for being gay, I can definitely see Dawe associating an artistic side with being gay and assuming Troy simply hid the guitar previously. This is a guy who rags on the MC for saying he loves his father; Dawe's not exactly playing with a full deck.

You are correct. If the MC rejects Sage she'll say she wanted to cheat even if she didn't pull it off:
View attachment 2227225 View attachment 2227226 View attachment 2227227
Interestingly, she'll definitively say she cheated if the MC only sleeps with her in Episode 7, which shouldn't really be cheating. Either DPC wanted to simplify the branching to avoid a very minor edge case, or Sage was still holding out hope for Chad until the MC finally let Chad's secret out of the bad.
depends on how much the second chance for Sage in the seventh chapter is integrated into the story.

Having to limit myself to just the eight chapter, I would say not very much

until proven otherwise I think from that point on being first fuckbuddy or not makes little difference, the point is to be in relationship with Sage or not

Which makes it all the more hilarious that he and his buddies get their asses kicked, almost in a 1v4 by a pink shirt and flower dots shorts guy and I refuse to believe its just a coincidence.

I don't think even Dawe is dumb enough to think a guitar placed on the opposite side of the room belongs to Troy and not the guy he's sharing the dorm with. It makes even less sense that he'd fetch it to Chad, and then Chad decides to just pass it to Sage when for all he's told it's something that belongs to his secret boyfriend.

edit: It is also such minor plot beat, i don't feel like DPC would overcomplicate it by "the MC thinks the jocks came for him but they actually came for Troy!". The story doesn't benefit in any manner from this, so it's probably safe to presume that what MC poses to the player in his monologue is what actually happened -- the jocks were there to fuck him, not Troy, up.

Wow, I couldn't disagree more.

First and foremost, Dawe is absolutely that dumb!! The guy couldn't spell 'clue' if you wrote it down for him! If he knew Chad's girlfriend wanted a guitar, he would totally assume a guitar in Troy's room belonged to Troy and thus was free for the taking. Even at his absolute best if you somehow convinced Dawe the guitar belonged to Troy's unseen roommate, he'd still be happy to swipe it because he'd assume anyone living with Troy deserved to be treated just as badly. Dawe is as stupid and simpleminded as he is spiteful.

As for Chad passing the guitar along, why wouldn't he? Even if he knew it came from Troy (which is unclear), the whole point of making Sage his beard is that he feels that he can't afford scrutiny. If he turns down the gift, Dawe is going to wonder why. We know Chad is no profile in courage. If Dawe gives him the guitar as a manly prize to pass along to his trophy girlfriend, Chad is going to pass it along as unobtrusively as he can (and maybe apologize to Troy in private later).

Lastly, I disagree yet again that your theory fits the narrative better. For one thing, I don't remember the MC actually saying the jocks came looking for him as opposed to Troy. He thinks they stole his guitar, because Troy said they did. But AFAICT he never speculates on why they came to the room in the first place. IMHO, it makes far more sense if they came looking for Troy since they clearly beat him up. Why on earth would they do that if the MC was their target? Even if Troy was willing to stick his neck out to protect the MC's stuff (which he wasn't), the MC sure as shit wouldn't have thought he did. If he thought the jocks had come for him, he would be wondering why the left without finding him and/or worrying about them finding him later on when he's rooming with Maya.

Furthermore, the MC is constantly assuming things that are untrue. He leapt to the conclusion that Josy had a boyfriend when she never specified the gender of her SO. He assumed he and Derek needed to complete all the tasks on the pledge board; turns out they didn't. He specifically foreshadows how wrong his assumption on why Bella didn't want to make out with him would turn out to be. We just got a whole Interlude to overcomplicate the MC's statement that Zoey 'got a new boyfriend' out in San Diego. The notion that DPC would turn down a twist because it would simplify the narrative is not only suspect, it's utterly and demonstrably wrong!

Sage starts as the stereotype cheerleader, but at every turn she shows a different layer.

She easily became my favorite main LI in the game due to her depth as a char.
yeah the beach ball boobs layer lol

seriously she'd be three times the character if she had a better body model

Agreed. Despite being my third favorite LI after Josy and Maya I don't really find her very attractive physically. But I like her personality and her fuck buddy dynamic with the MC really works for me.

Good theory. I also noticed that the MC constantly makes logical errors, comes to wrong conclusions and misses small details. On top of everything else, he didn't even ask what Sage's last name was.
In short, Sherlock Holmes will not work out of him.
MC is not stupid, but rather absent-minded and has an impulsive mindset. I'm not sure that with such a mind, studying to be an engineer would be right for him.

Pals, after reading here, i realized something:

It took 9 months to get the new Ep, there was the pregnancy test in the ending teaser of the 8th Ep, pregnancy takes (normally) 9 months ... no way there isn't any connection between this facts.

But i'm not X enough to make some proper theory about it, so i'll pass to the master ... dalli_x, your turn. :sneaky:
