If you got through episode 9 just fine with mini games off then I think it should be okay to just turn them off again before you end the party freeroam. The party itself played through just fine right? It froze after going to the tent? That's the point you get your score for the party planner. Turning mini games off before it tries to evaluate the score should do the trick.

So comparing 2021 7,880 renders and 608 animations (yes I know part was done in 2020 but most was done in 2021) to 2023 5,868 renders and 335 animations these being the numbers given by DPC no twisting to make them say something the work itself isn't taking longer, DPC is

I wouldn't use the term open relationship as much as I would just say they invite a person to join them. Open relationship implies they can have a relationship with others. They more or less discuss and invite others to join them as they are both present and have to agree to it happening, more like swinging. JB invites the MC at the cookout but the next day Elena texts and depending on path/choices you can accept or turn down, one of the options being she doesn't want to do things with the MC and mess up the friendship they have.
