Just started playing S1 and I'm genuinely curious what's the hype about. I mean I like the mini game system and the flow of the story and the diversity of characters, but I'm having a hard time going through the game because the UI is really annoying, not to mention the visibility of hovering over objects ect. Ngl I expected it to be on a whole different level since all the people I've asked recommended this game. Should I give it some more time, does it get better over time and will I get more control over the free roam?

So guys, if you've got neutral affinity, how does the game decide if you get to punch Patrick?

In what I can remember you cannot punch him in neutral. Either you comfort Maya or confront Patrick with no punching. I am not sure on this one I need to replay the game to know for sure.

How many episodes have you played? It only starts getting interesting in EP3/4 tbh, or later episodes even if only a certain branch interests you. The first few episodes are just there to set everything up really.

It was more the guy who accused him of having mental issues that upset him, I think. Which I find it completely ironic when people on a porn forum who argue about pixels all day accuse others of having problems but whatever.

Anyway, what's done is done let's hope he comes back.

You see as you may know I firmly believe that the main girl harem is possible through a highly intricate set of choices throughout the entire game. Punching Patrick and still getting the docs is sufficiently hard to do to be a part of that set. But since charming Jill is essential you can't have DIK affinity.

I'm on episode 1, and my plan is to give it time ofc, but the UI is making it really hard tbh.(searching for hoverable objects and people, trying to move around the room, using the phone, figuring out what room is what, ect). That's why I was curious as to what everyone loves about it and to see if it's worth my time and to kinda keep me interested enough to not think about the mediocre UI.

Got the Documents from Patric's Office rack in 2nd attempt (when you see Patrick s emotionally blended sitting in his room)This is the better way..

Punching Patrick isn't smart at all, but it's immediately gratifying and is less than he deserves for hurting Maya, emotionally and physically.

As far as I can recall, through the MC's pension for violence. You've got to be getting into fights to have a violent reaction, regardless of affinity. At least, that's what I remember. Take my words with a pile of salt

Season 1 mostly presents the main characters and starts the story. It doesn't really start until towards the end of the first season. This game takes its time to tell the stories.
The UI is the same throughout the series. He did experiment with it in the Interlude episode but fans didn't like it. It's a pretty standard UI for this type of game, IMO.
The free roam gets much better in season 2. I especially enjoy the free roam parties.
I feel it's definitely worth it if you're in it for the story and characters, and like visual novels. And he keeps adding more types of mini-games that I personally really enjoy.
