I will take the bad end, and curse DPC for the rest of my days. What if it turns out that the only way to get a good ending was to have fucked Madame Rose?![]()

Yeah that was never the caseWell I don't mean "heavy" as in the unavoiable tragedies that Acting Lessons had, I mean that BADIK was originally promised to be consequence free of the MC being afflicted with a moral dilemma over who the player chooses to sleep around with -- whether you're going for an all-you-can-eat buffet polygamy run or monogamous relationships.
I don't mind MC having a moral conundrum when it comes to relationships, but I went down paths in Seasons 1 & 2 that didn't follow as expected into Season 3 even though I'm importing directly from the saves and it makes no sense. Seasons 1 & 2 I actively pursued Jill, by the end of Season 2 I get only two options, Sage or nobody, start of Season 3 MC dumps Jill because I knew choosing nobody MC still dumps Jill, so I choose Sage, and for some reason all of a sudden MC acts like a wuss in a total 180 from how I played him in the previous seasons which again, makes no sense.
MC racks up Cheater points but he does nothing. I find this weird.
Im stilling only having sex with JosyMadame is gonna end up being Josy's step-mom, or maybe even Josy's mom. See the future, DW...
Is it just me, or does it seem like to anyone else that Season 3 turned the game into a giant jumbled mess? I can't see where the story is heading.
When Being a DIK was first introduced I believe we were promised the game wasn't going to be as heavy as Acting Lessons was, I could've sworn that Being a DIK was gonna feel more consequence-free fun. The MC seems to be picking up a big moral dilemma in Season 3 at the end of Season 2 no matter what you chose for a story path to be.
I wanted my game story to pursue Jill in Season 3, but unfortunately for some reason it doesn't look at all like that's an option and I don't get it. It's either gotta be Sage, Josy & Maya, or Bella, but for some reason Season 3 neglects any potential story growth development for other characters such as Lily, Heather, Quinn, etc.
What's going on with the progress for Season 3? I'm confused as it looks like Season 3 combines like 3 episodes to all be happening over the span of a single in-game day, which isn't normal for the previous season episodes so I'm at a loss and don't know exactly what this is leading to. How many episodes is Season 3 supposed to have?
Idk where you got the idea BADIK was this happy-go-lucky fairy tale with no consequences. Lighter than Acting Lessons, sure, but did you forget about the opening with Jill? Or some of the narration?Well I don't mean "heavy" as in the unavoiable tragedies that Acting Lessons had, I mean that BADIK was originally promised to be consequence free of the MC being afflicted with a moral dilemma over who the player chooses to sleep around with -- whether you're going for an all-you-can-eat buffet polygamy run or monogamous relationships.

Look at you, when you're not busy hunting manatees you can make good jokes. This is how it really should have happened.
Would have been more believable story-wise.

I literally tried her first scene once when she was first introduced, then I instantly rerolled and turned in the VIP pass for the mansion shit. Never again.I will take the bad end, and curse DPC for the rest of my days.![]()
no one in here would've guessedIm stilling only having sex with Josy
As I mentioned I joined the BADIK train only last year, so can't speak to what folks were expecting when it was first released, but I still believe there's a huge gap inbetween the 2 VNs, and is not just about the couple of really dark situations in AL, but the whole setting.Well I don't mean "heavy" as in the unavoiable tragedies that Acting Lessons had, I mean that BADIK was originally promised to be consequence free of the MC being afflicted with a moral dilemma over who the player chooses to sleep around with -- whether you're going for an all-you-can-eat buffet polygamy run or monogamous relationships.

As for where I got the "idea" from (not this "happy-go-lucky" as you put it), this came directly from DPC at the very earliest of stages in this games development. The intention at first when making this was to be able to play the College Frat Party Boy life style with nothing tying the MC down he's just having fun and exploring -- unlike what MC is having moral dilemma after moral dilemma at the end of Season 2 & start of Season 3.Idk where you got the idea BADIK was this happy-go-lucky fairy tale with no consequences. I paid attention, problem is even with Scrappy's mod it doesn't follow the paths I intended to follow.Yeah that was never the case.
also its seem like you don't really paid too much attention to Affinity, stats, and paths either. no offence but everything you say, it's seem like you did not pay any attention to the game,
I recommend the official Walkthrough that might can help figuring out where you went wrong. as for your MC acting differently, you likely end up having a Neutral permanent affinity at the end of season 2
The #1 thing on Jill path is don't help Sage when she's sick. (Do that and Jill is all over).I paid attention, problem is even with Scrappy's mod it doesn't follow the paths I intended to follow.
Just now (all day today) I spent hours following Jills path and ONLY Jills path, yet for some reason the paths split into two either choosing Bella/ Sage or nobody. I find that weird. Hence why I'm also here asking what possibly went wrong. With Scrappy's mod I can turn on/ off / change the variables of relationship paths. So again, it's weird.
That might be the hottest Jill has lookand this is what the game opens with

Well, stop using mods. That is your first mistake.I paid attention, problem is even with Scrappy's mod it doesn't follow the paths I intended to follow.

Maybe follow the official walkthrough instead? I think it's you, I doubt the mod has gone an entire year without anyone catching on that Jill's path isn't working.I paid attention, problem is even with Scrappy's mod it doesn't follow the paths I intended to follow.

Except the intention was never to have "nothing tying the MC down". It's a college-based dating sim but not some generically crafted one that you are playing it as. DPC's intention from the beginning was to put his own spin on it, ergo not just a "college frat party boy lifestyle" avn. He has always had a linear storyline in mind with an organic setting and living characters. As for where I got the "idea" from (not this "happy-go-lucky" as you put it), this came directly from DPC at the very earliest of stages in this games development. I wanna know why and what changed. Did too many people complain between the development of Season 2 & 3 when only Season 1 episodes 1-4 were out? I'm just asking because I don't get it. MC turned into a CHICK with massive feelings.
I've actually got my partner to play it over the weekend, she's been getting very into it.There's no ladies here. G.I.R.L. means Guy In Real Life.
The so-called female players here are just dudes roleplaying![]()

Reading through your comments, I'm of the mind that you're citing DPC without having actually seen his comments. If I am wrong, and you have read through his earliest words about BADIK, you seem to be purposely misinterpreting the statements DPC made. Nothing changed in terms of the story being told, characters were more fleshed out and increased in number but what you're speaking of simply has you coming off as obtuse.
