This week, I started by playing Others' and Isabella's branches. I feel very good about how the different playthroughs of the episode feel.

I've also played with a focus on mini-games and balancing the party planning mini-game. Then, I focused on replaying all the lewd scenes; although three scenes were missing animations, I could polish most of the content.

I checked that the Music app is updated with all new songs and works as intended. I also added a couple more SFX that I had missed. I continued working on Phone chats and Rooster, adding more chats, clucks, and gallery images. I believe I'm done with the phone content now.

I'm analyzing the code, flow, and choices right now. This allows me to spot well-hidden errors and oddities I have yet to encounter while playing. I've found several rare bugs resulting from nested choices and exceptions. This information also tells me which playthrough I need to test more thoroughly.

The episode is getting increasingly polished, and my lists of issues to fix between playthroughs are often very short.

The PCs are rendering nonstop, and over the last couple of weeks, I've tried to estimate their render speed and calculate how much more time is needed before they are done. It's tricky because each animation differs in speed, and I'm seeing a spread of up to 100% render time with some animations. Assuming the average render speed stays the same, the PCs should be done with the animation queue on February 7-9 at the latest. If I see that the speed changes, for the better or worse, I'll let you know.

Beta testing will commence as soon as possible after the final animation is complete. I will provide more information about that later. Next week, I will continue polishing and playing; it is the only task left on my checklist for this episode.

The final preview of episode 11 will be released sometime later this month. I think it's safe to say it's a preview you don't want to miss.

Well, we got specifics.
Now a lot depends on how long the beta lasts.
If it lasts 3 weeks, which is unlikely because of the branching and complexity of the code that DPС just said, episode 11 will be released on February 28.
But it is more likely that episode 11 will be released on March 7, when they start charging for patreon subscriptions.
From a business standpoint, it's not profitable to release an episode on the last day of February.
I'm 90% sure that the episode will be released in the March 7 -14 window.

Thats basically a confirmation for a february release. Aiming for valentines day for a little "marketing" extra push is very likely. Even so, nobody really cares for that day... but whatever. He is polishing since christmas now, so the beta testers will not have much to look at i guess. And considering how "flawless" each episode came out with nearly zero bugs (no, mod caused bugs arent game bugs) he does polish everything very good anyways... last beta test took only a week.

Overall the renderspeed did indeed increase for the remaining animations, otherwise it would be march instead of early february. But again (no surprise though) he went totally nuts with animations... The rest of the episode was pretty much done mid-december. But well... it is what it is, he likes to do those animations, what can we do about it.

He might upgrade his PCs with new hardware... new graphic-cards are coming out... but that will not speed things up, it will lead to even more animations, just like it did with this dev cycle :D DPC is just "gaga" about those animations and i could easly do without half of them... and most of them i watch only once anyways. *shrugs* whatever... digi.b is more or less the only other DEv who can even come close to the numbers and content DPC is producing in the same time, but for his game the next update isnt even close and the DEV cycle is already 1 month longer than this being a dik episode... so, yeah, we have to live with it that DEVs take more time with each update. But at least DPC produces more content too each time.

you know... you can pause payment yourself? Iam only paying when its released. and 15 bucks for a episode with 5-10 gameplay hours is okay i think. Considering that many AAA dont have more than 20 hours playtime but cost 70-80 bucks nowadays.

And Patreon ist not "paying" for the game, its support for a project... so people who are paying monthly have a different motivation about that, and not just buying the game.

last beta took just a week.
Is that true? Last I heard Beta usually lasts about 2 weeks.

Either way, it's putting a finished product at the end of Feb... From a business point of view it would make sense to announce a release date of early March at the end of Feb to get all those extra patron payments.

You're right. He could have released ep10 in November, but he released it in December to get more money from subscriptions. He'll do the same thing this year.

That's it, it gives everyone time to up there pledges to the higher tiers and he gets to double dip.

A February release is nothing short delusional now.
