VN - Ren'Py - Being a DIK [v0.10.1] [DrPinkCake]

This game has been one on my favorite porn games list so I recommend playing this game. I loved the characters especially Derek with his dialogue and actions. It has great renders, story, cast and sex scenes and I also loved the songs that this game has, there are songs that became a personal favorite of mine. Overall, I rate this game 5 out of 5 and this is something that everyone should play.

Regarding the VN's, this is as good as it gets. Fucking Perfect. No further explanation needed. But I gotta exceed the 200 character lower limit. So here's the further explanation.
Every single route is perfectly written(My fav is the Sage route). It is so humane. Other than this and corporate culture, no game made me felt like I'm reading/playing something true/real. Graphics and girls speak for themselves. The topic is so well-written that If you remove most of the sex scenes and pitch it to netflix, I'm pretty sure it's going to be a Top10 show in most countries considering its characters, somewhat original frat house concepts, developements, relations and general storyline. It's just perfect.

This is a fucking masterpiece, I played Acting Lessons years ago and it was perfect, but I didn't expected above that, something this deep, exciting, hot and clever. If I had money, i'd marry you Dr. PinkCake.

We all know it’s 5 stars. This game is fucking great. Finally got around to playing the interlude and it was a big step up even from season 2. Although I must say I felt secure in my choice with committing to Josy & Maya. But now I met Zoey. Fuck.

This game undoubtedly is one of the BESTon this whole website and it sets the quality bar very high.

The Story - it is very complex, it starts like your average VN would: a male student goes to college and meets a lot of sexy girls yadda-yadda. But it quickly evolves into something very unique and intriguing. I gotta say I tried to finally jerk off but couldn't because the story was so good and i was really interested in seeing what comes next.

The Gameplay - it is a standard VN with a lot of minigames. What i really like is that they are pretty simple and dont ruin the flow of the story. And the consequenses of failing are pretty light so you don't need to be super good at those games.
Money usually is a pretty big problem in a lot of VNs but not in this one. You're not forced to buy a lot of things like presents, clothes etc. A lot of actions that otherwise would require you having money can be skipped or dealt with in another way.

The Characters and their writing - simply excellent for a porn game. I came to like and even care about characters like Maya, Josy, Jill and Sage. They all have their own stories to tell, they are very distinct, they don't lack empathy and morals. Even male characters that you're not supposed to fuck are all great! They also have their own personalities, stories, worries and a lot of depth. The developers see them not as an idea but as real people with flaws and mind. I really like that.
Characters with relatives care about them deeply and don't make it weird between them: like MC and his dad, Maya and her brother, Josy and her dad.
A lot of modern games tend to dwelve into taboo themes such as incest, rape, bestiality and etc. But this game doesn't have all of this, which makes this game even more better for me personally. Even MC - even without your choice to either make him a dick or a chick has a lot to him not just "horny guy wants to fuck all women that he sees".

Renders and scenes - very high quality, very detailed environments BUT it is really confusing at times to locate where you came from and where you need to go. This is the only complaint that I have. Lewd scenes are very nice!

Presentation - really good. There are a lot of background music tracks that make this game more engaging and fun. You need your saves from previous games to play new ones in the series. At first i didn't understand and thought that this idea is bad but after playing i see that you really can change a lot even during one episode so your choices really do matter.

Overall - an almost perfect score of 4.7/5. Very excited for this developer's new games and Im going to continue to support their efforts!

10 minutes in i let go of my willy because of how interested i was in the MC and his life.

Story is honestly a 10/10 imo. The writing will have you on the edge of your seat due to the humor or the many twists and turns. One of the best games that make you actually think about your choices, one wrong choice and you could entirely mess up your chances of bedding the girl you had your eye on.

Great writing, excellent humour and hot as fuck. Most characters are very well developed and it became one of my favorites pretty much since the first 10 minutes of playing and I can't wait for more episodes to be released

I must say the developer have great taste of music.
Story, character's, plot, animation and art are really enjoyable. Including a lot of easter eggs

Hope to see another great epsiode in the future. Because we know thing's can be f**ktup sometimes.

Characters: 9/10 Easily the best part of the game, takes skill to write characters that you care for. (especially in a porn game)

Renders/Animations: 9/10 Top notch and plenty of them.

Developer also has a great work ethic.

If more AVN's were like this the market for them would be booming.

Fantastic Game. Excellent animations, great story, amazing sex scenes. Probably the best graphics out there, in this category. The gameplay is also really well done.

This is a really good game: it has a LOT of content, high quality and extremely funny writing (I laughed out loud so many times), and beautiful renders. There are a lot of options of women to pursue, and the free roam sections (which I normally don't like) are easy enough to get through.

One of the best games on this site.

After playing this game, i don't think i will ever a AVN as good as this game.

It has amazing renders and a great story. I also enjoyed all the different routes the game had to offer.

My friend recommended this game to me back in 2020 in the early corona days, when most of us were on lockdowns. It was in the back of my mind but only now I was able to play this. Thought originally it will a game with cheesy story and I wouldn't have much fun. BOY I WAS WRONG, the moment the 2000s pop punk music hit I knew I was up for a ride. The story is amazing and coupled with a amazing sound track(Which by itself is a 10/10 in my book) returned me back to my teenage years. The whole time I was playing the game I rememberd my old 2000s favorite bands and had a good nostalgia trip. Of course the 2000s teen movies insperation is clear here. I rarely do it but I donated to the dev, I want to see more of this game. TLDR if you are a millenial/zoomer that grew up in the late 90s/early 2000s you will have a blast with this game and get a insane nostalgia trip.

Episode 9 review update, well the renders and overall quality really went up with this update, the story again was fun and overall the relationships progressed nicely. My only flaw is the openworld, it was damnn long and presistent and the story felt short because of it, though I understand why DPC made the episode this way, since its mostly a party and its more immersive like this. My 5/5 rating still stands with this episode good job DPC.

Episode 10 and the cake did an amazing job again, the character developments are spot on, the story goes flawlassly from serious and touching scenes to funny and humoros with naturally. The music again hits the right notes, the mini games are immersive and moderatly challanging which is good, this update is much longer then the last one and Its a plus.
On a more personal note, this episode touches very senstive topics and as someone who has a grandma with Demantia, it captures the disease and the emotions that people feel about it spot on, it also shows Both derek and Maya in a diffrent light. a 10/10 for this episode.

Cute girls with interesting characters. Some of them are too bulky in some places for my taste.

I didn't expected that this game will be sooo good.

I'm not usually a fan of visual novels, but this one is great! It is very well written, with a ton of character depth and nice art/animations. The relationships in this game feel a lot more real than in any other games I've played. Definitely worth playing.

The first 5 or 6 episodes if its the first time you play, and if you like other girls taht are not Jill, the game can be a 4

If you like Jill, those 5 or 6 episoeds are worthless, if you have already played the game. From episodes 6 I think the FREEE ROAM KILLS the game. It gets more and more contrived with tons of subquests and it becoms a major turnoff. The routes and options can be a pain, if you missed something cause you didnt know the consequence you can kill one character progression for the entire game ( it happened to me with Qinn and dont even remmeber why)

The sex scenes are hit and miss. Some scenes work better, its heavily depending on the animations, and some animations qork, and others dont cause after watching 5 or 6 you can tell the rythm and the speed, and its the same foer ewvery animation of sex, blowjob handjob whatever. And there is this lack of energy, and this lack of effort in some animations. The animations are good cause they are fluid, but only a small percentage are fluid and also good.

After episode 6 the game goes way too many tiems to this sandbox free roam/management and its as I said a shot in the face of the game.

And i will repeat this: If you play for a while and your playthrouhg is decent you will have sex available with the majority of the characters (that I know) but not with Jill (This game has been in development for 3 years at least) and that I know in episode 8 you are not getting her.
The insane pain you ahve to go through wiht this massive chunks of free roam, to achieve something with her, are not worth it.

I will repeat this again: If its your first time playing the game, untill episode 6 or so you wil enjoy it if you have a decent playthrough.
If you are replaying it, cause you didnt get Jill in the previous 3 years of development, prepare yourself to skip during hours until youo get her. I just stopped playing in episode 8, cause its not worth.

And to finally make the game more interesting, the Josy Maya route threesomes are not actually threesomes but lewd interactions taking turns with both girls present. After 3 years of dvelopment the developer is still holding back in 2 of the main routes. This game should be dead and buried already, cause there are no sustantial changes from episode 1 to episode 8.

While not perfect, Being A Dik is a solid VN with a good story and characters to back it up. The writing and dialogues from DPC are as good as ever. The mansion mini game was the best I have ever come across in any VN. The scenes are great too and DPC's choice of music just makes them perfect.

My favourite game for storytelling and animations on this site. Animations are smooth and lifelike. Characters are diverse and believable. Even the music is very well done.

Criticisms:
-most of the games are stupid. Use cheats.
-looking for images/stills is stupid use cheats.

Despite negatives, very worth playing. Without question.

Magnificent game. Excellent writing and character models. The dialogue is natural and all the paths with all the different love interests are subtle and progressive.


Definitely the best VN on the site.
