VN - Ren'Py - Being a DIK [v0.10.1] [DrPinkCake]

I hate this type of game like visual novels and I even hate reading mangas but this is game really great first for me to like this type of game. First I thought I think I try this game for the porn but then I finish not caring about it and immerse myself on the story on how great it is.

It's really best game I played. Story itself is great, plot is balancing just right between serious and funny, every character is different and they are all portrayed very good, minigames are enjoyable and you can scale difficulty, so it's even more perfect. Renders quality is also amazing, models are beautiful and I didn't find even one graphics bug through whole game. It's also one of very few VN games that I actually enjoyed while replaying with different choices, because all girls paths feel equally good and there is no 'worse' choice there. By worse I mean choice that I would regret taking, because here all of MC character paths are very entertaining in their own way. I may not be a fan of the season 2 last big relationship choice , but even if I didn't really like that, it somehow felt right for the player character, and with upcoming season 3 I'm pretty sure it won't be as permament as it felt. In short, you should really try this game, you won't regret it.

the characters are beautiful, and it's rare in this kind of games. Always huge breasts, that's inevitable! (be brave with your back problems Isabella!) But honestly I understand the fantasy around that and it's from my point of view the only flaw (but that's just a matter of taste).
Otherwise, in addition to being beautiful, the characters are developed! I mean that they are not just a sex-hungry front. No, on the contrary they practically all have a character and a background, and that's really interesting! I particularly liked the personal stories, like Chad for example, Tommy and Quinn, and the family: with the tyrannical father for Maya, and the loving father of Josy as well as that of the MC.
And yes, the MC, let's talk about it. I loved playing with him. He's cute, his choices allow lots of different ways to play and above all he's not either a weakling with a magic tail as we see a lot, nor an addict to the pump. The MC is a normal guy!
The gameplay is also a nugget. The gauge system (DIK - Neutral - Chick) is a damn good idea!
The point and click gave me some difficulty (especially when exploring a new path and going quickly to discover the new scenes) but the Free roan moments, the telephone and its applications... it adds substance to the game and it is clearly positive. I replayed the game several times, testing many things and I'm sure I haven't seen everything yet.
I can't wait for the sequel, the interlude was very short but it made my mouth water! In short, I recommend this game 100%

This is simply the best AVN out there, no contest, fantastic artwork, phenomenal story that really draws you in, and has you excited for the next chapter. Can't wait to play chapter 3, and all others after. and any game Dr Pinkcake ever makes.

This game is amazing, especially the detailing on Interlude, its insane. Dr. Pink cake is one of my favorite artists now. Kinda want to meet him IRL.

Amazing music choice, Amazing graphics, animations, insane storytelling, and I don't know how this guy/gal/non binary does it alone. Making such game solo must be so tough but, doing it with such perfection (IMO) is poggers. But I did find Season 6 and 7 a bit less interesting than the previous ones but godamn, how is interlude so good, its so detailed its amazing. A must play imo

It's a good game, like the 4 star rating says. But judging based on how the game made me feel, it's not an excellent one for me because it simply leans too heavily on the tragic side.
Everyone has a sob story: mother died, grandma died, spouse has been gone for years, etc. The dev must be thinking that tragedy hits harder than comedy and it's true, but: I don't want to be hit, real life does that enough. I want to feel uplifted and hopeful.
To be fair, there are multiple characters who (successfully) act as comic reliefs but the overall mood is a darker one (which you are warned of when starting the game for the first time).
The positives are clear: beautiful graphics and animations, many girls to pick from, a lot of content (although releases are infrequent, usually less than 2 in 12 months).
Conclusion: a good game that is marred by too much tragedy and drama.

Perhaps the greatest H-game of all time. The thing that sticks out the most to me is the writing, the game has extremely memorable characters, excellent pacing, an enticing plot, and an interesting setting despite being one of the most common you'll see in these sorts of games. I'm constantly in awe at how well-made of a game this is.

Of course, the renders are incredible (especially the further you get in the game), but oftentimes game devs will mix good renders with dialogue that sounds like it was translated from English to Polish to Proto-Indo-European and then to English again. What sets this game, and I believe DPK's games in general, apart from others is the quality of everything besides the renders.

Amazing Game that has it all like hot characters , the way it looks by far is 10/10. the story line is well put together , the design of the game is Amazing . like it the only way i can express better is if you play ( support his Patreon) the game i know it would NOT disappoint ( meaning its one of the best games out there in PATREON )

One of my favorite adult visual novels. Great characters, visuals, and even better story. I think the interlude was a bit unnecessary, but all-in-all this is my highest recommendation. Love all of the free roam events and the depth to each character. Diks for life!

every episode blew me away with its plot, the characters are perfect and very well rendered and the overall experience is absolutely amazing

Music and dialogues really fits with the theme of the game.

And most importantly the game is FUN to play especially if you are going the DIK route. Really the first game where the phone is used to its potential.

What sets this game apart from other games is every character got its own personality and the emotional connection. Some of the drama and forced romances in early chapters should be rewritten before game gets completed. Thats probably the only negative to me.

Highly recommend, and dont care what anyone says this is the best game on this site and its not even close.

Greatest game on here bar none. Story, characters, choices. Legit more than just an "adult" game. Great sex scenes, nothing forced. If only Sony, or Microsoft would allow these types of games, I haven't ever signed up for a patreon, this changed it for me. Legit in top 10 games I have ever played, telltale games level, but better graphics, and dare I say bar Walking Dead season 1, better story telling.

Ok i ws surprised by the interlude, but afterplaying it i can see why it was done, we see at the beginning of the game about the MC telling Bella that there was once a girl but she left to go surfing and they stopped talking and then the last he heard was she was seeing someone else and had moved on.

Now we can see why he thought that and the story from the other side and that showing how this girl had lived since leaving him. At the end she realises that there is no place like home (no wizard of oz jokes lol).

We see her arrive back home and knock at the MCs fathers house, then we revert back to the MC who is shocked to hear his girl returning and i guess this will now play out how season 3 is going to go.

1. Will she win back the MC heart
2. Will he follow his heart and stay with whomever he has chosen at then end of season 2
3. Will his old girl cause problems in his relationship if he choses another
4. Will there be 3 somes (that would be cool) with his old girl and new girl
5. Will his new girl dump him for his old girl leaving him heartbroken where he descends into drinking and drugs and starts working with Lily at the strip club (ok my mind gone off track now)

Whatever happens i look forward to the next installment and i really hope it does not take too much time for it to be realeased. So those that do not like it i guess replay the game to see the MC version (there was never mention that she dumped him he assumed from a photo) and then replay the interlude and you will see it really does set the scene ready for watching the continued expolits of our MC moving forward.

Best all around game on the site. I enjoy other games more do to personal taste but this game has everything. I know there will be people upset over the interlude but I found it interesting and should add to the game going forward. It was also clearly planned with the story prior. If it had been just thrown in there out of no where I would have been upset because I could see it as making up drama but this was clearly a planned part of the story and the only way to get the proper background is to do this interlude. It would have been awkward if we had been going back and forth through out the game. Excited to see where the game goes from here and am expecting an exciting conclusion.

Easily the best game here, and a huge inspiration for my own work. Every update motivates me to improve. I love the dialogue, the subtle humor, the quality of renders, the small animations that makes the characters more alive and the simple but in-depth story choices. Great game with an amazing cast of characters. Seemingly archetypical characters always find a way to break the mold and feel alive and different. Truly seems like it's just hit its stride at the end of season 2 and would love to see how the story progresses in season 3.

I enjoyed the first 8 updates upto season 2, but didn't like the interlude chapter. It was sorta plain and boring, other chapters had a lot going on at the same time so it felt dull and not like other updates.Missed Jill and Sage and Quinn and Rionna .

Maybe future updates will change my mind but it was worst episode till date.

(Till Interlude Season 3)The graphics and animations are top tier among all the visual novel I have seen, story are nice, the storytelling method makes it interesting,most of the music aren't my type, but still good music, every time the chapter ends in a "OHHHHHH ... oh it's the end...oh...."way for me,hack can't wait for more. Only one thing is...sad, which is...no harem route, but that is understandable...
