VN - Ren'Py - Being a DIK [v0.10.1] [DrPinkCake]

Great story, art, and one of the more unique games out there in terms of story. Def oneof the leading examples of success in this industry. Hope the dev continues his hood work on this and future projects.

Overal love it.
The graphics are really exelent, I love the way the music changes and is so appropriate in different situation, really damn good.
Sometimes you want to see some more and can't without cheating are starting over that is a small downside but also makes sure you will replay it more then once.

The mademoiselles all look good (some much more so than others), but the sex scenes are shallow because they are devoid of any deeper feelings. The majority of the sex scenes in the game are either with ladies of the evening that you paid for or they are only dream sequences.The regular character dialogue is quite good, but the overall story is very weak and the melodramatic internal monologues are horrifyingly terrible.

Love the effort put on this game. The dev provides consistents episodes and all have decent length and good animations, the history is super good also. The way that history develops is good and is filled with a lot of sex scenes for those who like. The minigames are fun also

Best Game there is. The story is excellent, with a lot of twists and worth to play more than one because after more playthroughts you still find something new, character development is authentic and interesting. Music and animations are awesome.

Dr. Pinkcake never disappoints. Great characters and writing, amazing animations, and plenty of twists to keep you eagerly awaiting the next episode! There is something for (almost) everyone in this game. Highly recommended.

- All the saves i had from 2019 are gone, i had to start back from the beginning

In a word amazing. This VN is simply amazing. With its branching storyarc, the level of detail and thought given to each character and how it plays into to the story is simply awe inspiring. The character models and renders are in my opinion in a league of their own, the details, the curves, the sheer raw sexappeal each is made in is utterly delicious. Thank you, thank you so much for making this, it's brightened my day immensely.

I fucking love it

Every Update has so much work on it, no matter which route you follow, you get a ton of highquality content, DrPinkCake never dissapoint you on your route.

You should definitely try the other routes or check out SteveyPs savegames for each episode.

I waited until episode 8 to write a review but at this point almost everything praise worthy has already been written by other reviewers for this VN.
The story, characters, renders and animations are all excellent and proves DrPinkCake as one of the best creators of Adult VN with excellent skills.

But the main point I wanted to highlight was the focus on Bella's story in Episode 8. She has been favourite since episode 2 and the creator brought her so brilliantly in 8. I mean damn I always knew she was stern and cold outside but ultimately an animal in the sheets and this chapter proved it.
Even I was holding on to dear MC's life that he didnt climax before the complete scene played it.

It's a fantastic piece of work and a fantastic song. It has a good character and a good plot. It gives me pleasure to be able to play this game for free, but I feel guilty for not being able to support it as well as I should. This is an engaging story, with believable characters, more than just another porn game, : ) It has the allure of all the frat movies, with good archs for the characters, some of them quite interesting.

This game had me hooked from the start, Great game, Great renders, Great story, DPC sure knows how to bring characters to the life. Every update of this game sure lives upto his reputation, I love his sense of humour which he puts in the story and good character developments and some wholesome moments as well, Playing this game is like riding emotional roller coaster, Touch of music and Every other details in this game is insane. I'm looking forward to see where this story is going!

hmmm...where to start with your last game you blew us away...franky i was even skeptical to play this considering tht amazing ending in last..yes i am sucker for harem..this well i can't say this just a game wht a AMAZING ,BEAUTIFUL writing of character the situations..frankly for non american like u gave me american experience of college..i am sure you and your team must have work ur ass off in this game...and u guyz have outdone yourself...take a bow from me for hopefully in future i can contribute something ...till then be safe keep creating this experience..for us.

pros

some of the most enticing female characters in a lewd game. Bella and Sage are complete knockouts. And their identities make them so much hotter.
Animations are really great. Jiggle physics top notch.
I loved the spin-off part in season 6?. That was one of the highlights of the game. Very creative and thoughtfull and it would be amazing to see if DPK could make a whole game in that setting.
Very innovative game. It's opened the door for many games to follow the same formula for the main reasons of having great renders, very attractive characters, a really well-thought out inter-play between your 'frat harem' and having more important characters to court vs. just some fun ones to get down and dirty with.

cons

Typical frat cliche, although it works sometimes the cheesyness of it all can be too much.
The 'bro's' kind of suck. Tommy and MC model design I find pretty ugly and also look pretty bad.
the genesis models aren't that good fidelity. Madam stripper is gen 8 and you can clearly see the difference. Still think most of models look good (Bella and Sage) but not sure for how much longer.
the mini games and free roam is a chore and bore. Clicking on arrows to get to one place and finding things can really annoy you whilst playing.
I think the game is generally too grindy and is better played with a Mod. I personally think it's crazy to play the game 10+times over just to get all the juicy scenes you want. It is fap material after all.
The episodes take too long to release imo and by the time another one is released hopefully there will be some good competition to rival this current game which is the benchmark for now.
The character development of Sage has been very dissapointing.

Overall

It's probably the new standard for this burgeoning VN style game. It is a qaulity game that will entertain for a considerable time. Hopefully it is the first of many and some of the problems in this game can be addressed by others or with later releases.

Freaking amazing. The college teenage drama is incredible, you feel that the characters are actually alive and you fall in love with them. With their backstory and personality you cry, feel happy, laugh, you even feel anger. You feel the story of love, partnership, fellowship and feel the importance of the most important thing in life, family. The gameplay and mini games are pretty good, it was creative and fun the mansion one, the tests were good and I like that type of qi style tests. One thing that I regret is choosing normal mode on the fight minigame, hard is better. The impact of your choice is awesome, some things that you dont think it matter is later shown. The dick pic at the end of the episode was fucking amazing. I dind't go for the dik route, I couldn't, I love the characters way too much to make the suffer, but it's good to be a dik some times. The renders are incredible, man, the characters blink. I think this game is less a porn game and more a visual nove game, sex and alike are just an addition.

Well, not much to say about this game because it is a must play game and I think anyone ever visited f95 had play it once.
Great story, nice conversation, and especially choices do matter.
I have played this game for around two year and love to see more from the talented dev.

I've been reading from Dr PinkCake since Acting Lessons and I have to say this is the epitome of renpy visual novels that I have had the pleasure of reading. Whenever I read others I always compare them to to Being a Dik whether they can come close because nothing has surpassed this visual novel in my opinion. Everything is high quality from the renders to the story to the girls to the music. Whenever I see an update I drop what I'm doing and instantly download. I can't wait for this masterpiece to be completed so I can spend a couple days starting over and reading everything from beginning to end.

Unpopular opinion, but I couldn't get into it. I figured originally this game being a Daz game at that would have stood out the most. Especially considering the fact it is #1 on the board.


Pros:
- Minigame is Skippable/Optional at the beginning of the game just be sure to read.
- The personality of the characters are interesting and have you curious as to what's to come next to some degree.
- The humor is a hit or miss.
- The updates are massive and full of content.

Cons:
-Found myself lost with the story even while paying attention. It seems pretty all over the place.
- The render quality had honestly caught me by surprise because I expected better, that isn't to say it's trash or anything cause it is decent. Just I had the expectations high especially after playing the last game. Arms/Shoulders are broken in certain scenes and clipping here and there.
-So another thing is following the theme, which I get in the whole bein a Dik deal with its system to unlock scenes but when it came down to the sandbox I felt it could be very well revised and done better for the sake of the game and the players. Ngl figuring out which direction or what highlight leads to where was tricky at first, but you figure it out after a while.
- Story is there, but that's it, it's there. Felt convoluted, but with some bursts of plot connections. The game lowkey felt like a fever dream which in one way is fun but also not.
-The animations I'd suggest be at some point and time relooked over in order to better the quality of lewd scenes cause the motions were hella stiff and robotic if anything.
