What a journey this was , from the setting down to the writing i was hooked.


I cannot wait to see what season 2 brings and what choices and consequences follow us.

Easily one of if not the best game I've ever played. The story is extremely well written, and the characters have individual and truly human personalities that evoke emotional connections to themselves and the story. The renders are stunning and make the sense of immersion that much better. I love that the characters are properly consistent in their personalities and don't switch personalities like a light once you're on their relationship path. Bella especially.. I've played a lot of games that have a character with that sort of "tsundere" -for lack of a better word- personality and its always annoying when they suddenly switch to this lovey dovey all over you character once you're on their path. This game does a really good job of maintaining the characters integrity in who they are and it makes them feel all the more realistic. the game is only 0.8.2 so far and it has days worth of immersive and enjoyable content, I can't wait for future updates.

Wow, that's some above the best stuff in a field of xxx-games. After all cringe other games here bring up usually (especially those sis-SIS-mom games) this one is a pure gem. I mean it has minimum of cringe the pron-game may contain and the scenario being unrealistic as fuck still keep your attention and entertain you even without pron stuff be involved.

Being a DIK is a dating simulator that has a variety of mini games, a plethora of characters, and plenty of graphic sex scenes that would make a lady blush. You could certainly play it for that last reason if you want, but I’d say you’d be missing out if that were your only interest. After the somewhat unconvincing start, the game’s plot really hooked me before the end of the first chapter. I wanted to see the twists and turns that the story would take. I also wanted to spend more time with the hilarious horndog, Derek. There’s a lot more nuance, subtlety, and effort to Being a DIK than your average dating sim game is likely to put into the experience. If you’re only interested in the sex stuff, there’s plenty to go around, but if you’re also interested in a story that is willing to go in some nutty directions, with some ridiculous humor thrown in, then I can’t help but recommend Being a DIK.

You guide MC throu ups and downs starting his highschool life. While possible to play as a harem game, some choices WILL block others from you. So save branches are recommended.
The game is incredibly well made. From the animations and soundtrack choices to the funny and engaging story. The plot is even touching at times.
This is a masterpiece that keeps on giving.

Story= 9/10 frat college life of mc being a dik or chick while seducing girls with his respective trait with some drama, there is a option of being neutral
girls= 10/10 girls are awesome, detail given to side girls is ridiculous , i like some sidegirls more than some main girls
gameplay=this game will pave the way adult game developers to create puzzle content or side stuff 9/10
music= 100/10 music is spot on every scene making the immersive feeling in the game wow

It's an impressively immersive game. The story as a whole is excellent. So, regardless of the sexual part, you create an interest in the content and that's great.
I've never played anything that made you really step into the story like that and feel the emotion of the characters.

Man, where to start.

I have played this game so many time's from start to finish having put most likely 100+ hours into this. There is just so much to this game it's hard to know where to begin.

First of all the Dialogue and story are amazing, every character feels real and has their own personality. I like pretty much all characters with the exception of a few but that means the writing in this game is on point. I feel happy, sad, angry and much more when playing this, with a few BIG laugh out loud moments.

The minigames are fun from earning money to searching around the world for secret items to add to your gallery. Everything about this game had me hooked.

The fact this game has major decisions you have to make which changes the story alot is amazing, I have had so many different and unexpected outcomes with different characters because of my good or bad choices. This is why i have put alot of time and effort into this game.

The animations and character designs are the best i have ever seen. All of the characters are stunning (Especially Bella) and look real. The sexual content is very plentiful and can be overwhelming with the amount of choice but that isn't a bad thing by any means, even though at this point i don't play for the sex anymore, i play for the story and i am hooked to see how my decisions will effect each playthrough.

In conclusion:

This game has to be tried by everyone at least once. Imo it is the best game on this site by far. I honestly can not say enough great things about it.

Easily the best game in the genre - convinced me I wanted to try and make one (although completely different).

The choices in the story are meaningful and not always instantly obvious what the consequences are, the characters are generally well rounded and the models are nicely varied across a huge cast. Of the main love interests, they're all hot, there is plenty of humour and things to do other than just click through to the next sex scene.

By a million miles, this is the best adult game i have ever played. It's not boring at all, you can play them over and over again through a different path/playthrough.

This is probably the best VN on this site and there are plenty of review so i'll keep it short.

Why 4 stars than?
Because just like in his previews work, DR Pink cake will constantly berate you in 100 different ways for not picking a single LI as fast as possible, for doing DIK things (yes, in a game called being a DIK), for not being a love struck puppy eyed prince fucking charming.
I mean, I get it, its not a haram game, and Dr PinkCake obviously feels a certain way about it, but it laid out so thick it gets in the way of enjoying the game.
I don't feel like I'm overstating how annoying it gets, especially in the newer updates, so I'm dropping a whole point for it. It's the only thing this game doesn't do much better than Acting Lessons.

Overall though It's an amazing experience and should be the first priority of anyone that is looking for a high quality well written dialogue heavy VN over the quick fap gallery mods that are so so very common in the genre.

As I reviewed on steam: this is the kind of game where you start playing because of the porn and the good reviews.

Then you understand why all those reviews are good. It's not only about the porn.
It's also about the story, the characters.

Edit: I edited my review to add something which is very much important: it's also one of the only adult themed game who understand why a videogame is not only about the visual but also about the music and the sound. Many games fail in that regard. This one uses the music to push the scenes, and the music random list is correctly related to the scene. Dramatic scene and story means dramatic story, lighter mood means lighter music, action scene has a dynamic and moving music, etc.


And then you are in and you know you have played one game which has made such an impression on you that you will remember it for the rest of your life.

Noting to say but masterpiece.
Absolutely thrilling in every aspect: from story to animations and renders.
This is absolutely a must play and not at all a porn game, but a game with explicit content.

The cream of the crop, the best there is in this genre hands down. Being a Dik is a story first and foremost, a compelling story that keeps you wanting more. Sure, there's sex and the like, but to define Being a Dik primarily based on it's lewd content would be doing yourself a disservice. This game deserves to be played, if you take the plunge, you'll understand why it's so highly rated.

So far this game is absolutely fantastic! Came for the fap and stayed for the story and the characters... (and also still the fap, but thats not the point XD) In the last two weeks I played a chick and a dik run since I basically became addicted to the game after the first night. I played a few good games here now. But this is just something else...

One of the sites GOAT. Lots of content, a ton of hot girls, funny plot, an abundance of ultra hot highest quality scenes, lots of unlocks, great sound design/music. There is really nothing missing here, unless you need a super niché fetish to get off on. Right now, top 3 of all time for sure. Easily deserves a full rating.

Wish I could remember where I first discovered this amazing game, but it did not take long at all to fall in love with it. Never thought I'd get into visual novel-type games, let alone ADULT ones, but I absolutely love this game and its story. One way to describe my approach to this game would probably be: came for the sex, stayed for the story. Its hard to choose which of the 5 main girls are my most favorite, because I love all 5 of them, but if I had to choose I think it might be Josy!
Another thing about this game is it introduced me to Punk Rock Flu by The Friday Prophets, which honestly has quickly become my current favorite song. Every time I listen to it, I can't help but think if this game and watching the main menu and it just makes me love the song even more.
I am excited to see what Dr. PinkCake does with this game and I honestly wish it would never end... but as everyone knows, all good things must come to an end and nothing lasts forever. It makes me wonder though if there would be a possibility for a Being A DIK 2 after this current game wraps up.
