It's ridiculous to say that DrPinkCake (DPC) is "known" for crazy or out-of-left-field endings. His first (and only other) released title was Acting Lessons, which did indeed end on a note that was, for most, probably unexpected and was pretty devastating. However, to assume that DPC's second AVN will end similarly or the same is based on no evidence. DPC is not M. Night Shyamalan. Acting Lessons was a high-drama story. Being a DIK is much less so. This is not to say that there won't be some difficult choices or sad moments to come (episode 4 ended with a difficult choice, after all), but to assume BaD will go down the same path as Acting Lessons undermines the fun. And, as DPC told his supporters on Patreon, all the speculation and assumption about this really ruins the joy he gets from working on this content, as well. Frankly, I trust that DPC is a talented enough storyteller that we can expect variety.

I think for some here the speculation and teasing is part of the fun, but I would agree DPC would be unlikely to do the same sort of ending. Among other things it would establish him as a one trick pony and make it hard to get funding for future projects.

we all hope to have something different (although AL remains of a much above average quality)

and I hope there will be these difficult choices ... because the low blow of AL was that these choices in the end were not there (the famous choice of the fire was not a choice for all the players)

for now on BADIK I have had both positive signals and deja vu

and the clues to great dramas are already there. the most threatening cloud of all remains that of drugs for now.
it is not necessary that there is a mourning, just that one of the 5 LIs pulls out of the game at some point and that we, as players, cannot avoid it, it could be Bella for the return of her husband, Maya and Josy because they are better with each other, Sage because she returns with Chad permanently , Jill accepting a combined offer from her family

I think the only lesson you should take from AL is that DPC is gifted at telling stories in a way that evokes an emotional response from players and that you should expect that skill to continue to play out in BaDIK (where it's already been present).

And, I suppose, a demonstration that he's willing to provide storylines that don't have utopian, perfect endings for all the characters at the same time. Most adult VNs don't really do consequences beyond making you choose between love interests.

Sometimes i feel like i'm playing a different title than you guys. I'm playing a college setting disney-level soap opera..

..while you are, apparently, playing one of those insane japanese visual novel games where you at the end of the first playthrough end up failing horribly and everyone dies.. only to realize that you have to replay the story again because its a cruel game that is set up so if you replay then further secrets will reveal themselves and after like 14 playthrough (witnessing horrible deaths of your loved ones each time through various tragedies) on the 15th one you can actually manage to get away without watching your lover's mangled corpse eaten and instead finally dares to reveal she loves you too, kiss kiss, congrats 'the -true- end' and "oh we hope you don't mind that 14 suicide-inducing horror trip to get here, hope you had fun, love, Dev."

I'm trying to figure out why do you guys think this holds more than what it actually shows and what makes you think there are complex secrets lurking behind every tattoo, every conversation, every look, every classroom door, every picture on every wall that has one, every smile, every smirk.

Have it ever crossed your minds that maybe there are simple answers behind mysteries here? Like.. two person wearing the same tattoo, why?.. just because. One had it and the other liked it and wanted it too. Out of childhood promise. Out of accident as both just picked one out of the tattoo catalogue.

Maybe there isn't a hidden reason behind every single miniscule detail of the game. The pictures on the wall are props and not keys to a hidden universe. Drugs and money aren't ties to international crime syndicates.

Maybe, just maybe, the characters in this title are 18-21 years old kids who just overreact the importance of college years and act like young and stupid true to their age-range stereotypes. Unthinkable? What if this is just a simple story, with just a bit more depth to it than usual, instead of a mystery novel.
welcome to f95, where there are theories behind why the MC is called MC and is not a rapper, and that old technique of how much money guy receives from his patreon, because he hasnt posted an update yet

What I would class as more "serious" theories are these:

Why do people think it was Riona or the Nerds who took the laptop and leaked it? Riona makes more sense given she is a HOT and is always there but I cant see a Nerd doing it, I did see in early posts it may have been Sally but I dont see how. What makes people think it was a Nerd or Riona?

Vinny makes sense. Chad too though I have just been assuming he couldnt get it up anymore but being gay crossed my mind. Tommy sabotaging things was clear, hes got a huge stick up his ass for MC and in general. I guess someone could die, writing is good enough for it, I can see it happening. Anything to make people think it will happen? Never considered it an option when playing.

Isabellas husband being military makes sense but wouldnt that be based on what the MC saw while drunk in that room with the african mask on the wall? Scrawny guy in military style clothes? Either he saw a mannequin which is what was revealed the next day and his mind made things up or he did see a military uniform on it and made things up then it was removed when Isabella saw the mess he made in there while drunk. She also spoke in a manner implying he left for some reason and will be back soon, sure that could be denying his death but the wording seemed to weird for that. Catching Isabella with Jill then leaving makes more sense, makes the bedroom sleep scene between them make more sense. Who knows, very interesting though.

No need really for spoilers dude, everyone knows most of these theories.

The Cathy photo one can be Riona if it was done there, in the sense that while Camila and Rusty were banging, she took the laptop to the library. She probably did it on Quinn's orders to maybe weaken the DIKs, another possibility is that Quinn did it in Vinnie's orders, if it's a revenge plot and Vinnie is Quinn's suplier like a lot of theories. The nerds could have done it as a power play against the other frats, and Sally goes to DIK parties, the thing is... If the nerds did it, they wouldn't even need to be there, so the entire look for the laptop plot point would be pointless.

What i think it was the nerds, was the photos the Alphas got.

Most people like to point the finger at the Nerds because then it would give them some relevance as right now they don't seem to have any part to play besides being amusing side characters. Personally, I don't think they need to be anything more than amusing side characters or perhaps even possible allies in something that happens later, because I can't see what motivation they would have to want to mess with the DIKs.

As for Riona, my prevailing theory after ep 4 was that this was a plan by Quinn to get the DIKs in trouble in order to take some focus off the Jocks, who were now under more scrutiny from the school, so she can complete this "order" they have with her. Camila may also have been involved to distract Rusty while Riona got the laptop which was either already on or she knew the password for (probably Quinn got it from Tommy when he was drunk/drugged up).

Riona being outside the "library" room where the laptop was and seeming rather guilty certainly makes her seem like a prime suspect, and I still think this might have been Quinn's plan. But after the DIK mansion got trashed by the Jocks, they probably will get a bit of a sympathy vote from the counselors, and I think Cathy will also go easy on them, so this will screw up Quinn's plan to deal with the Jocks' order without them being watched and will make her life more difficult.

She's an underdog. Single mother past her prime who works in a business where her age (30) makes her too old compared to the other dancers who are in their early 20s. Probably gets some nasty comments every now and then for this exact reason (doubt Derek was the first) but she doesn't let it bring her down. The fake boobs are likely a way to compensate for this and help with overcoming her insecurities, which somehow makes her relatable despite anything fake generally being considered a stigma.

Or I could just be reading way too much into the personality of a 3D rendered model. Either way, it's as good of an explanation as any.
It's crazy that a 30 years old woman can be considered past her prime. Even in the real world porn industry, that's not the case. :ROFLMAO:
