It's true that it would be getting too serious, but I'm still wondering why you said what you said. You said two things " some just can't handle a mature personality " which I'm still wondering what you mean by "handle", but that's not the point. I just don't know what you see of mature in her except for her age. The second one is " Bella's precieved fault is that he just doesn't fall into the MC's arms from the get-go " which she does. Later on we know that she has to self-delude herself into thinking she doesn't, but she did fall into his arms from the get-go. Which entangles with the first point, she seems to be unable to control her feelings towards the MC. We lack information about why she acts the way she does, but we are able to empatice with her with what we know already. Still, I don't see her as mature and I'd like to know why you do.

I'd like to know what people see in her, really. I have to say I love tsunderes. They are fun to mess around with, you tease them, but you get some feedback, even though they might try to hide it. That's whats cute about them. With Bella you get no feedback at all. That makes me feel too pushy sometimes and I don't like it.

Even though the game doesn't go this way, i feel like Bella wouldn't fall for MC without Jill's involvement. She wants to protect Jill which leads to the "test" to learn more about MC, the date and all that. We also know that Bella isn't very adventurous from her talk with MC after M&J trouble and despite occasionally slipping, she tries to remain loyal. I can really think of two reasons. There's been little to no intimacy in her life for at least 3 years. We don't know what kind of person James is (or was) and perhaps MC is similar to him, although this would be too convenient.

This two statement carries much weight and it would take a much longer discussion to debunk the issues they carry which i'm not willing to spend on it because i'm not your therapist, i think you aren't here to have any and this thread is not for that kind of conversation anyway. I'll just respect your views on human nature and behaviour and respectfully disagree with you entirelly.


Jill is very mature. On the side note since you mentioned her in your other post. Yes. Too mature actually. If i want to go down the mystery lane i'd be wary of Jill. Maybe there is nothing more to it, maybe she a very good person who matures marvelously but if i would have to pinpoint a less obvious "darkness-within" person that would be her. The way i see it she is supersweet and all buuut as if she has a shadow following her. No.. not the Defiler of Melons. But both how she talks about the MC and how those discussions with Bella are somehow dispelling the 'innocent' angel halo in my eyes.

So.. i'd say something is off with her. She would make a fantastic yandere. Hopefully she isn't one but she suits the role perfectly regardless.

If the Bella-Jill affair is a real thing, it can explain why Jill was always so supportive about the MC befriending Bella.

Jill probably thinks that having a third person in their group will make Bella and her relationship less weird. It will probably become even more weird if the game follows porn logic.

as I said before: until something of Bella's past is revealed it is impossible to decipher her behavior.

it is Bella who decided to act as a guardian to their relationship, then unfortunately for Jill, MC passed the exam too well .....

Jill was initially happy that Bella is starting to like MC, but I wouldn't be so sure she still thinks that (Bella's favorite song episode is dubious)

I ment that more as a general response to what i often see. When people simply can't handle if they have to actually pursue a girl. A sort of zero effort approach which they then try to depict as if they tried everything and its just the girl who is stubborn and ridiculous or faulty.

Its the same thing when somebody meets with a counter-argument and gets butthurt. Thats same "can't handle" stuff.

Haha, yes, but from the in-game point of view I'm talking about players can't handle her and not from the mc's point of view Obviously thats given. She will come around. Tha game will make her so. Its a given. You pick option a) then b) and you have it.

Yet for this to happen one has to wait for plenty of real life time. The reactions given during this time are telling.

Because i have a different set of criterias for maturity obviously. I see mature people, who don't differ from her the slightest, on a regular basis and out of the proverbial 1000 of them 999 are delusional in my experience. Its just that their behaviour isn't exaggerated but they aren't part of a story either so they can be more mundane. Bella's issues are emphasized here.

(Here, i cut out several paragraphs of the exact nature i mentioned earlier so i don't end up posting a whole essay of psychology)

When you don't see an issue you think it isn't there. Most people by nature develope a sort of "pretending" scheme. To fit in. We try hard not to display issues. Bella here fails in that only because the story requires her to do and not because she is immature, so the player could know. Trust me, a real life Bella would take oh so much more time to crack by a suitor and is very likely he would just simply fail. The game doesn't have this luxury. Time. Nor the option for the mc to fail so Bella has to cave in and do so rapidly otherwise the title fails it main purpse. To entertain.

Thats the aim of the game after all. Not to simulate real life. Thats a huge misconception. The aim of the characters are not to emulate a real person, the story isn't here to give us a glimpse of something real. Its to get us emotionally invested and/or to get the imagination going. Considering the number of pages and theories it does pretty well

But Bella is absolutely mature. Its just that her issues are more important then the rest of her, for the story-arch the writer is placing behind her.

Now this is a way more simple of a question. I see her boobs. Seriously. Her boobs drawn me in the first place. I was interested in her before i knew her name. Then i found an ice-queen personality, something that resembles that the most which for me a huge allure. I love ice-queens. They always attract me. Its a thing of mine. These two is enough for me. Her bimboish looks and this attitude of hers is just perfect.

Am i shallow? Indubitably.

Least you're honest hahaha. It's actually one reason I dislike her, totally ridiculous AVN fan-service body. I wouldn't be interested in her in real life either. Not my thing as it is your thing. But it's all good. As a character though, very different, certainly interested to find out what her 'complications' are going forward, she is surely interesting from that perspective if nothing else.

Completely agree and you're right, it can turn you off. There's a few AVN's around that have interested me but I've seen all the characters and I'm like..nahh will leave that one.

Of course, that's entirely down to the devs and their own personal taste I guess, but I'd never knock anyone for it. That is part of the problem, I'm just not intersted that much in her romance (though i have a save for her to see the content) but I don't actively hate her or her inclusion in the game unlike many others.

To be honest, all the hate some characters get is quite laughable at times when you think about it (based purely on looks)...like jeesh.

Maybe in episode 7 after we read the letter about how to use the money, or even a LI needing a place to stay. If we have another big path choice like the one in the last season, what you guys think it would be?

I don't think so, namely because I believe DPC might have said that doing those 3 paths was so much work that they're not going to do that kind of thing again.

I hope not. I understand there are people that want more choice, but a 3 path episode means seeing only about 1/2 the developer's work in your play through, so you wait 4 months for a release and only get a short session unless you go back and play other paths that don't save to your game.

Holy Bacchus essentially made the same point from the developer's view, it's two to three times as much work to do those separate paths without giving the players as much material (more work and stress for the developer and less play time for the players).

That's the problem, I do want to see all the content and I want it on the same game file. Like the choice between Maya and Josy in episode 5; I wanted to have both conversations in the same play through.

Edit: Not like I'm going to stop playing, just my personal preference and I know there are others who prefer to have several different plays.

All games have some choices, and like most other fans on here I realize I get what DPC does and there are only a few other developers putting out games worth playing. Even so my preference is to see more material in a single play, obviously other players want more separation and neither of us get a custom version of the game. Much like the arguments over favorite love interests different people have different tastes, doesn't mean we can't enjoy the same game for different reasons.
