So i take it the lewds compensate for that ending?
I'd suggest playing it, the writing and character dialogue is really good. I wasn't aware of the twist, but if you're aware of it before hand I'd think that it'll impact you less. It has some great comedic moments in it. And yes the scenes are great too
edit:
It's definitely not like Seeds of Chaos, I never played Good girl gone bad, but I'm sure it's not like that either. I suggest downloading Acting lessons, play it all the way through as I feel, despite the twist/ending, is still worth the time to experience the story. DrPinkCake states that his stories cover items that may be upsetting to those who may suffer from depression or are in a dark place. Topics like substance abuse, physical abuse, cheating etc are all on the table, but it also fleshes out his stories more than others generally.
When I say AL was depressing etc, I'll explain/expand that comment here: When I play VN's like AL, Badik where they're story/character driven, I tend to put myself in the main characters place. I also tend to attach myself via roleplay to certain characters in those games. So when the twist happens in AL, It didn't depress me, just kinda threw me for a loop and left me unsettled. Badik did the same for me as well (as I wasn't playing with a walkthrough at that time) and the choices I made took me in a direction I really didn't like with an event. After realizing I made the wrong choices, I did a replay and all is well now.
So I recommend playing acting lessons, then download Badik and play through that one, you'll likely play through Badik a few times to get a good sense of what type of experience you want with the characters as there's a bit more choice in Badik than AL or other VN'S. Also, check out the walkthroughs for this game as if you're SET on a character or a few characters it'll help you make sure that you're choosing the right avenues to continue with those characters (so far).
