as for the part of every couple in the park being happy that is the delusional part that can be explained by 2 ways!
1st people project on to others what they wanna see instead of seeing what is there for real!
2nd couples who are not happy do not go to the park so you have maybe 10% of couples who go for strolls on the park! if you´re unhappy you go alone if you have problems in the relationship you do not go because you should stay home and debate your issues!
yes sage is believable but on the risk of contradicting myself Maya is far more believable... i know too many girls like her and i do not mean the carpet munching part (ok a few)

As for Chad not deserving her i may have to disagree just because he does not overfills his husband duty part does not mean he has not worked hard to be a decent and hard working dude! yes steroids ... but before steroids he had to be worth it, the drug enhancing only work if you´re already good enough!
His social skills must be above average to become the Jocks president (for the jocks i mean...), so just because people really like Sage lets not disparage Chad and if his plot arch leads to him being a pole smoker power bottom he is even a more complex and tragic person, but even if he is not, him falling for another girl who is part of the Quinn restaurant is a tragedy in itself that would hurt him deeply!
As someone said he seems happy now that he is no longer the Jocks president so how much of the stress was getting to him? and that slut Sage instead of supporting him and helping him out all she did was wanting to waste time on sex and when she did not get it... she turned mean (and she can be very mean...) and attacked him and his friends in all sort of cruel ways including... i mean the shit women do when they are trying to get a rise out of men but later on they apologyse (rarely) and just dismiss it as "i did not meant it"
