A very sad breakup scene indeed…
I liked that little detail if you leave her for Jill she understands and it makes things easier… It still sucks but she doesn't feel to bad...

That phone call breakup was ugly the but worst ‘playa’ breakup was jade by text. :ROFLMAO: At least the ‘fuck, fuck, fuck’ ending made more sense!

Thanks for the clarification. The Bella one I was thinking of is when MC is not involved with Jill at all.

I hope is not going to be that Lynette is alive and her parents obliged her to become a cloistered nun as punishment for his disgrace, like in Puccini´s Suor Angelica, or something like that. It was 2001, not 1801. If Lynette were alive, I don´t know why she wouldn´t see Tremolo in 19 years, even if for some reason she doesn´t want or can´t stay with Neil. Lynette should remain dead. Too many soap-opera big revelations and plot twists already in this game.
For me, the main intrigue of the diary is who is the biological father of Tremolo and there are several proofs that this is not Neil (the opening scene to the game, Louis' words that MC does not look like his father). For me, this is now a working theory that Neil is not the biological father. This plot move corresponds to the classic soap operas that the developer was inspired by.
If I´m not in a wrong, the sequence of the pregnancy test starts with a line like "Someone goes" (and we see Cathy´s sequence) and "Someone comes" (and we see the pregnancy test). It´s not literal, but something like that. "Someone comes" seems to mean that the kid comes to stay, is not going to be aborted nor is going to die being still a baby or a little kid.

I had the theory that the pregnant one is Arieth because Quinn is selling her "boyfriend" Dawe sugar pills instead of contraceptive pills. But thinking again, I think Arieth is depicted like the kind of girl that would abort her child and go party again, and that´s an awful arc that would not add to the plot. I could be wrong, maybe DPC wants to change the arc of the character and the pregnancy makes her mature as a person and becomes a good mom... Don´t know, but now I think the theory loses weigh.

Another theory would be that Zoey is the pregnant one. Her boyfriend let her pregnant in San Diego and dumped her, and now she returns home to think what is going to do next. The obvious arc would be a struggle between abortion or keeping the baby, and at the end she decides to keep the baby and that´s why "someone comes". I really hope DPC will not go that way. I´m tired just thinking about the politically corrected conversation about women´s "rights" that it would generate in a game like this one. It´s an awful plotline for a porn game, and would incapacitate Zoey as a sexy character and as a Li from the beginning. The drama of a single teenager mother doesn´t match well with scenes of crazy drunk sex in a Halloween frat party, for example. And this is a porn game.

Actually, pregnancy would incapacitate any main or secondary Li, so I think is not going to be a character that Tremolo could have sex with.

The theory of the pregnancy test being a flashback about Lynette, and Tremolo being the "someone that comes" seems to me the more plausible now. I suppose that highlighting Lynette's pregnancy so early in the game means is going to be some kind of revelation about Tremolo´s conception and birth, something more than "Lynette run away from home to be with Neil, got pregnant and died after Tremolo´s birth".
Zoey is clearly not pregnant. As I said, she could have been an acquaintance of Vinnie or a friend of one of the girls from the strip club. However, DPC will not take her out game because her main role is to become a romantic problem for the main LI.
Arieth could be pregnant, but damn, does not everyone care on her? She is a comic character and turning her immediately into a dramatic one requires certain dramatic skills. Yes, Dawe bought "contraceptive" pills from Quinn, but as we know, Dawe has too small a penis for Arieth to get pregnant. She could have gotten pregnant by one of the Diks, but it's also unlikely.
I'm leaning more towards Ashley. At the end of episode 7, she openly dumped Anthony and ran to Derek. This is an open manifestation of feelings for her. That she loved Derek. But in episode 8, she stays away from him. What had to happen for her to suddenly change her mind? Anthony sang a song under the windows of her room? There is one explanation. She's pregnant.

About Zoey. There is always a time marker in the story the MC tells Bella.

After the image of her on the train, we see images of her at the beach and there the MC says that it's been 6 months since they haven't exchanged a message.

We don't have the complete timing, so we can't exclude her 100% from the pregnancy theory. I strongly think it's not her, but we can't be sure.

On the other hand, during these 6 months without news, she was able to resume her studies, and therefore she can arrive as a first year student.

So I'm at the affinity choice to flush the papers or cheat on the midterms, and either choice I pick, I get moved from CHICK affinity to permanent NEUTRAL affinity. What gives? Searched and it doesn't seem like anyone else found this glitch?

Edit: I guess it's a feature not a bug? I didn't think my choices were that balanced. Oh well. As long as I can keep my Jilly Bean.
If you have at least one remaning dik (or chick) choice after that scene you are in permanent neutral affinity

Yeah, this is a strange comment.

DPC quit his day job to work full time on this game because the earnings from the game could sustain him and his family.

To suggest he's obsessed with money because he won't do something that would basically grind his income to a halt is not exactly fair.

It's like suggesting that I won't take a shit on my bosses desk because I'm obsessed with money.

The man's gotta make a living (just like the rest of us - unless you're still basement dwelling, in which case, good luck to you).

I don't now what his previous job was, but I'd rather he work fulltime on BaDIK if it pays the bills, than get booted from Patreon and have to go back to fulltime work elsewhere and just do this game in his spare time...

That said, I wonder if I could take a shit on my bosses desk and not get caught...

So what do you guys think Interlude will be about? Will it be like a normal episode with less lewd scenes to connect some dots in the story, or will it be like the prologues before the episodes but a longer one?

Hey guys,

after only reading in this thread for month now I finally decided to share some of my own thoughts.

Let´s start with the ending of season 2. I don´t think everything shown in that sequence will be part of episode 9 but the whole season 3. Especially the pregnancy test. Why? In episode 7 at the Bella hangout MC talks with Bella about reading his moms diary and how he would feel when he comes to the point of reading her last words. That could be a hint that a scene where she does a pregnancy test isn´t that far away. Maybe in episode 11 or 12 because there are still one or two key scenes missing before it comes to that.
But I agree it also could be a Bella flashback if she and James had a kid that died later. It´s pure speculation. I don´t think another DIK got some girl pregnant and the MC definitely not.

The fuck, fuck, fuck part, an overreaction? Maybe, he simply shocked because he didn´t see the connection between Sage and the Burkes and never asked the right questions. It could be, because his reaction is the same on every path. But let´s speculate that the scene from the Preps party came from the back of his mind in that moment (you all know which scene I mean). That would explain such strong reaction in that moment on every path. But it´s unlikely that he connects dots right in that moment, it´s to early for that but we are on the way.

Looking back at episode 5, Mona storms out of the room and Stephen came out of the same room shortly after her. The MC saw that. Also the DIKs tried to call Quinn and she doesn´t take the calls. Cammy suggest the MC should call her, Quinn doesn´t take his call but later he gets a message from her.
Now let´s see how it looks after episode 8. Becky told Maya that the free tuition is a secret Hot´s code. The meeting between Maya and the Burkes will take part in episode 9. I assume it doesnt go well and Maya will mentions the secret Hots code somehow and gets a privat meeting with Stephen later. Also Sage and Cammy did try to reach out to Mona and she never returned their calls. So who should or at some point succesfully will reach out to Mona?
It may be just me speculating for now, but I think DPC does the setup for something similar in the coming episodes. Well I have the same bad feeling as Josy when it comes to that meeting in episode 9.

One last thought before I am done for now. Am I the only one that has this weird feeling when it comes to Lynettes diary? I have this weird feeling that it goes beyond the day the MC is born. I can´t tell why!

Well that´s enough for now...
You have some very interesting thoughts.

Of course, it could be that the pregnancy test is a flashback of Isabella or Lynette. It could even be a flashback of a woman we don't know. And why? There is speculation, theorizing, etc. that the MC has another sibling, or perhaps even multiple siblings. There are two pieces of circumstantial evidence for this. Neil insists that his son uses condoms. The reason for this should be obvious. It is all the more astonishing that in EP8 the MC misuses a condom for a water bomb named Ron and later pleasures Maya with a sperm syringe without a condom.

(There once came up a theory of BaD being a game in play. So basically he MC commits the same mistakes as his father or he is better than his father).

The very fact that Neil is so adamant about condoms suggests that he once impregnated a woman he didn't really want to impregnate. And Derek once werwähnte after Maya and the MC kissed on the campus lawn, so he would either fuck his mother, one of his sisters, and eventually Neil. That statement from Derek alone supports your theory, so Lynette's diary can't end with the MC's birth and Lynette's demise. Neil's gaps in knowledge about Lynette are well known. Now let's move on to the sisters. Yes, DPC used the higher number of sisters here. Okay, maybe just a typo, but what if it wasn't? Weird. If Derek wants to fuck Neil, I wonder if he is bisexual or maybe gay. Now some will think that he fucked Wendy and that there are pictures. Yes, there are. But Derek himself mentions that he also likes to drink a Viagra flavored smoothie. What Viagra does to a man, men should know. The bottom line is that there is a 50% chance that the MC has siblings. The question I have is how old are these siblings?

Older siblings and younger siblings:
Lynette died because in this case I see no reason why Lynette would leave Neil. The impregnation in this case occurred before Neil met Lynette or after Lynette died.

Peer siblings:
In this case, the play-within-a-play theory could apply because there are parallels. Three girlfriends.

Josy, Maya, Sage.
Josy, Maya, Jill

Bella is not there because then there can't be three girlfriends. Now, 20 years earlier, we have Lynette, Miranda, and Vivan. Neil approaches the three of them on the street. He really only means Lynette, but Miranda and Vivan are not averse either. Oops. We know Neil has had his honest share and fun. Maybe with all three girls? See the parallels between Neil and the MC. What if Bianca and the sexy black-haired girl sitting next to her in concert are the result of sex without a condom. Somehow the two have similarities with Miranda and Vivan.

By EP8, theoretically, several girls can be impregnated by the MC, and then the MC will definitely lose the girl he chose for himself. If he is faithful as a dog, this will not happen. If the MC is in the group, there is a possibility that if the MC was faithful to both of them, they will forgive it if one or both of them are pregnant by him.

Please do not take this as a fact. It is just a theory. The beauty of DPC's story is that he builds suspense and mystery that can then be explained by trivial and mundane solutions. I think this is great.

Do I want to come to the Burkes, Mona, etc.? I have a controversial theory there. What if we misjudge Stephen? What if we as players make Stephen a pig first, where the MC fucks Jade? But first to the beginning. I could imagine Stephen having a little side income like this. Family tree preservation. What I mean by that. In BaD there are families that are very careful to make sure their kids get the right partners. That should be obvious. Mona is certainly not the right choice because she doesn't mind fucking young guys for money. Quinn did the pre-selection in the case of Mona, Camila, etc. But now it may be that there are old men who have no children and/or homosexual children and thus the continuation of the family name, the family tree is endangered. And this is where the collaboration of Quinn and Stephen comes in. In my opinion, old rich guys aren't going to pay tuition just because they get to fuck a horny student once. No, there has to be more to it than that. You should also read the poster on Mona's wall.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

At the beginning of EP3, Stephen tells Jade that he has been with 3 female students. Read that again. He doesn't say that he had sex with the female students. But that is exactly what Jade thinks. Why so confusing now? In EP1, several words are put into the MC's mouth. Explicitly from Sage and Riona.
Sage asks the MC if he hates Chad, and when the MC denies it, Sage says, yes, you do. But at first there is no real reason for it. The guitar is still in his room. Later, when the MC is at the DIKs for the first time, Riona says that the MC made a pass at Sage. In my run-throughs, he did not, and he denies it. These two examples actually show that Sage and Riona want to put words in the MC's mouth. So it's a form of manipulation. And I think the same thing happened at the beginning of EP3 with Stephen and Jade. Stephen wants Jade to maybe just believe. Why actually? Customer protection (old rich men) and/or so he can maybe fuck a coed sometime. Justification. If he's really hooking up coeds with old rich men, his clients don't want that to become public. The jade thing is a little more complicated. Just a little bit. Jade is a feminist and wears the pants in this marriage. Stephen, for once, fails to get Jade under control. Now he sees a video of his wife fucking the MC. Of course, he smiles. Now he can establish the Heather/Tommy relationship model in his marriage.

So Stephen offers Mona tuition if she gets pregnant by one of those rich old guys. Mona doesn't take the offer and gets to leave at the end of EP6. Why did Stephen cut Mona's tuition? Quinn has done the groundwork in which Mona has shown that she is willing to prostitute herself, and Stephen has prepared a tuition that he logically cancels if she doesn't go along. But what does all this have to do with the MC now?

The "Limited Edition
What if the MC was the only one who could carry on his mother's family name and pedigree? It doesn't matter if Lynette is still alive. I suspected all along that maybe someone else was the MC's father. Geoff in particular was a hot candidate because he has similarities to the MC, minus the beard. I still assume that he is part of the MC's family. Maybe the uncle? But in EP8 Josy says something about gay unions and that's what they call a beard. Geoff helps the MC twice at the preps party. (Geoff is the guy with the red braid) The Jill blackmail of Tybalt is just a distraction story from DPC. Why. After Mona runs out of the Preps mansion, Stephen looks right at the MC. So considering that there was already an intense conversation in Stephen's office, it is actually impossible that Stephen did not recognize the MC. But why doesn't Stephen Burke do anything about the damage at the Preps mansion?
He has a wealthy and probably powerful client who happens to be a member of the MC's family. This family member wants Stephen to implement the above for the MC. But somehow that's exactly what comes out, and the scavenger hunt begins. Except that the scavenger is the MC (Limted Edition). Young, sexy, athletic, intelligent, and heir to, in Neil's words, an indecent fortune. But the math doesn't quite add up. Why? Neil and the MC have been living like hermits. When the MC comes to B&R, he's actually like Mowgli in the jungle. Surrounded by wolves, big cats and a bear. My worst thought is actually what will happen when actual his closest friends know all this and want to take advantage of him.

Wow. You can tell I'm on vacation.:ROFLMAO:

It's probably going to intertwine Zoey into the story. She probably is going to play an important part in the story. I'm going to go ahead and say that she will be related to Vinny - she's Vinny's sister, based on the mention by the MC during that flashback that said that Zoey had a brother who used to buy them booze (or something like that) and judging by what we know about Vinny makes me believe that Vinny is the brother that used to buy them booze.

I personally don't censor him for distancing himself from here, he already burdens himself with so much work, I wouldn't really want him to waste precious work time here, or even worse, spending his free time here, with work related discussions.

Banning people for barely mentioning this place though is totally not okay, he can distance himself, but he should never forget his roots, trying to boycott this website is just scummy af...

I do wonder what would happen to his patreon sub count if this site went under though... If I had to bet, I don't think he would benefit from it.

Probably not a good thing for most future subs, I remember just some months back someone posted on another game's thread about some of the site's stats and it was definitely one of the most visited sites out there, google analytics probably has an even better feed on the site but F95 contributes tremendously to a lot of creator's exposure than probably any other place on the internet for this market.

So You think it's gonna be a prologue around Zoey.

I wonder will it be in the meantime, or show her past, what was she doing since she gone. Latter make more sense tho.

Also I don't want DPC to waste his 3-4 months just to adapt Zoey into the story. It would be such a disappointment for me.

DPC has already written so that Interlude will not be EP9. It's more a preparation to and for EP9. Interlude will also not be as big as his last EP's and he thinks there will be a faster release. According to him, Interlude will reveal some explanations and explain connections.

Finally got through all the stories plus some catchup from Chapter 7. I guess I don't need to bother with spoilers anymore.

First of all, the gut punch. Sage Burke, eh? Can't say I'm surprised. And I didn't have a problem with it. Until the realisation hit. If you combine my playthroughs this could be fun. You're with the daughter and should it last, "Mommy" is your real Mommy-in-Law all of a sudden, you undermined your Brother-in-Law at every opportunity and hurt his career chances, emasculated him, probably knocked some of his teeth out and effectively ruined all his chances with Jill (who drove the nail into the relationship herself). And on top of that, it looks like you wanted to save Maya, but drove her into Father-in-Law's prostitution ring. Yes, parties will definitely be fun. :D However, there is one point: During his "Grey's Anatomy" narration even recognizes the house if you never pursued Jade.

Second point, while it's highly unusual to pick a love interest at the midway point, for me it felt strangely "liberating" doing the "right thing" for once. Even if it led to five saves that will have to be continued now (Neutral - Maya & Josy; DIK - Sage; DIK - Single; Chick - Isabella and Chick - Jill) and none of them will be smooth sailing. I can see problems with all of them:

* MJ: Balancing a throuple, every + sympathy point could be crucial with narrowing margin of error. Maya will probably have to be saved from prostitution. Patrick will hate our guts.
* S: see above
* B: relationship with a teacher should be as big no-no in the College Guide Book, and Jill is jealous and will likely cause problems, especially when everything has to be kept secret. Also, we still have the husband elephant in the room.
* J: okay, her friends liked the MC, but I felt uncomfortable around them. The fish out of the water will be worse with her parents, and I'm not so sure they will dig a poor guy for their remaining daughter.
* Single: I can only assume that this will be the road to expelling, especially if you role-play it as taking drugs from Quinn and failing the classes.

------

Some smaller points:

* I feared back in episode 6 that it would be possible to screw up the mansion rebuild minigame. Maybe it is, but you would have to do a REALLY stupid points allocation. However, there is an inconsistency: It is possible to order the windows at the end of E7 (I did that on the old DIK playthrough), and have it celebrated at the table, but even then Rusty urges you to order the windows in E8.

* Pregnancy Test: We don't know when it will come into play. Meaning there is no way to know if the impregnation already happened or not, (we only know that there will be a guaranteed positive test.) If it did then pretty much all the main love interests are out. Our two romps with Isabella we get a CP or not choice. Jill is not brave enough to bring up protection during her first time, meaning she's definitely not on the pill, but again, you can choose not to CP her. As for Sage or Josy I honestly can't remember how their various scenes ended. For Maya you definitely CP her at her request in the classroom. However, the point is, there is a possibility that all of those scenes never happened just because you're not on that respective girl's path. That would also rule out Jade, Nicole, Sandy, Lily and the Restaurant Girls. So what would that leave us with:

-> Arieth and pretty much anybody
-> Zoey coming back from California preggers (but not from MC)
-> Sally and Magnar's perceived trouble in paradise
-> Elena and John Boy, even though we don't know anything about their protection plan
-> Dany and Jamie, even though he claims that she can't get pregnant (however, that is exactly the way to go)
-> Ashley and Anthony or Derek, whoever got to her first
-> Micha and Rusty (I am pretty sure that they got something going on)
-> Heather and Tommy, with the same caveat as E & JB
-> Tania and Tommy - explain that to Heather though
-> the Melon and Tybalt :D

* While Tara has a nice figure (her tits seem to sag a little though) I'd definitely recommend her to get a drug therapy soon, that doesn't look healthy.

* Midterms: The way Lily came back from the toilet on my DIK path, leaving the cheating papers in place (no opportunity to flush them) makes me think that she was the cheater.

* Jade: I would have expected her to be a tad more level-headed when you call it quits with her.

* Ending Montage: So did Tommy go back to Vinny for supplies?

So, as expected, Doctor Cake delivered a great update again, and I will have to go back one final time to unlock Quinn's render and 2D Art stuff for completionist's sake even though I hate her guts.

Don't you think that mc would know Vinny? I mean mc was with his sister and if he was the one who was buying alcohol for them, then he must have seen him, not to mention that Zoey would talk about him.
