MC and Bella has wronged Jill, that's undeniable. but if you really think about the worst case scenario for Sage, the betrayal from her perspective. it would seem to her, after all is revealed, the whole world is collapsing around her, all the people she cared about and loved failed her: mom and dad, MC, most sorority sisters. in comparison, Jill's case would become a mild "Jillybean betrayed by her bestie".

That's why the warning at first boot up... whoever is not fit to play the game should not do it... drama here drama there but all in all it's our making so you can either deal with it or you should avoid it...

Why DPC throws Jade to Tremolo´s arms? Jade is the one that seduces Tremolo. And that happens in the middle of the Hell Week with the quest of "fucking a theacher" and "fucking a feminist". DPC wants that Tremolo fucks Jade. First landmine. Then, the second landmine: the video of Jade and Tremolo in Burke´s hands. And after that, the third one: Jade is Sage´s mom... Why DPC would put such a complicated Chekhov´s gun, if he´s not going to shoot it against the player (Tremolo)

And the same happens with Quinn´s restaurant. DPC puts that offer in front of the player at the beginning of the game, when the player doesn´t even know yet what kind of game is this. It this the only chance for Tremolo to fuck in this game? Will it have consequences, or this is one of those games about "harem" in which the MC can fuck everybody without consequences? First landmine. Then, the second one: Burke is the main client (or maybe, main owner, we don´t know) of the restaurant. And the third one: Burke is Sage´s dad. Again, if DPC doesn´t shoot that Chekhov´s gun in Tremolo´s (the player) face, I would be extremelly surprised.

Most of you people miss one thing, when MC was fooling around with Jade, he wasn't in any serious relationship with Sage, they were only fuck buddies and it was nothing serious between them, so you can't fuck your girlfriend's mom if you don't even have a girlfriend.
Sage implied multiple times that she has no problem with MC fucking other girls, because they weren't in any relationship, sure she will be pissed if she finds out that her boyfriend was messing around with her mother, but that was BEFORE they got together if the player chose so, so i highly doubt this will break the future relationship with Sage.

She will be angry and that will affect their relationship, but like i said, it will not break it

This is Sage, I don't think she'll be thinking this through logically...

But I'm sure it will just be an unnoticeable bump in the relationship. People go through it all the time...

This is one of the most annoying things in the way the game is written. It's obvious in several places that DPC doesn't want the player to know certain things or doesn't want the player communicating what they know to another character because it will undermine the plot or because there's a 'Shocking Reveal'. Personally I wish he'd just give up on these SR's in his writing, especially as most of the players have already figured out the SR long before it's sprung.

You take the restaurant too seriously. It's just a plot mechanic that allows you to
1) to spend money to the player, which MC has accumulated a lot through mini-games. That's why he invented Madame. An easy way for a player to spend money.
2) It allows you to quickly get sex scenes in the first chapter.
Moreover, the MC talked about the so-called restaurant only with Riona and Camila, and then only in Chapter 5. MС didn't even think about whether it was right or not, he just perceives it as a way for girls to earn money for the maintenance of the mansion. Forcing the player to replay right from the first chapter is too much even for DPC. Because all the key decisions that affect the progress with girls appear only in episode 4.

No, I'm pretty certain the restaurant isn't just a porn game mechanic. It caused Mona to leave. Characters like Cammy are involved even though they think less of themselves doing it. It's definitely part o the story.

I gladly was Jade's toy.
I never shared the video, because it is FAR more amusing to let Derek step up to the plate.
I avoided any choices to hurt my chances with Bella.
I play with Sage.
I avoided the restaurant. I don't pay in real life, not going to in a porn game.
So I am a happy fella.
DPC is a drama queen extraordinary. I am just hoping he avoids his past FUBAR from Acting Lessons. Almost any other drama I could live with.

That's how branching in videogames works.

You have main plot points that move the story forward (get to B&R, hell week, rebuilding, etc) and branching plots (each LI is a branch).

Up until the very end of the game no developer can afford the branches to change the main story. That's the way most rpg games work and it's the only way to do it because if your branches change the main story you end up in development hell with dozens of branches, development time skyrockets and the story becomes a mess. Bethesda can't do it with hundreds of professional developers, it gets worse for a single developer like DPC.

The main plot points need to be unrelated to the outcome of the branching plots. But those main plot points can be reactive to the branches (i.e. you can rebuild the mansion with/without Maya&Josy, so the cleaning scene changes) but the branches will NOT change the outcome of each main plot point (you WILL rebuild the mansion for sure, being with Maya/Sage/Jill/single etc don't change the story)

So, because this is the way this stuff work we know for sure that the outcome of the visit to the Burke's is unrelated to fucking Jade, Sage, Maya, etc. or choosing the restaurant, because this things are optional. Maya will/will not (we don't know what's going to happen) get the tuition in a way unrelated to the branches (you fucked/not fucked Jade, Maya or Sage). I don't know what DPC has planned but Ch.9 need to follow this rule.

So, the main story will not be changed but the choices can change the branches, fucking Jade will not change the main story but it can end your relationship with Sage or Jade.

I reckon "Intertwined" does a decent job of really serious branching. It's almost like playing a different game depending on which girl you end up with. Of course it's a lot shorter than BaDIK, but it's only been around half the time.

One thing I reckon Intertwined does better than BaDIK is when you like a girl in college, you hang out with her heaps. Like seriously, you'd catch up with her for lunch every day that you're both on campus (and considering none of the characters are commuting, that'd be every day!). You make out with her every opportunity.

I'm giving BaDIK the benefit of the doubt since only at the end of Ep8 did the mc decide things were serious, but it's time to step the PDA up a notch now!

Quinn makes it pretty specific what she's offering in Ep1, MC would have to be pretty dense to not catch on to what's happening*. If MC is giving guitar lessons to Sage they've become pretty good friends and as president of the HOT's it's an issue that definately would be of concern to Sage. So I do think it is pretty weird that MC wouldn't pass this information on.

It's like the stupidly vague warning that MC gives Maya about Quinn.

* That's not to say that arguing that MC IS pretty dense would be totally out of line. DPC seems to have some talent for writing clueless characters.
