I think that the headcanon folks who think the girls get zipped up in ziplock bags and thrown into the fridge waiting for Tremolo to fuck them are delusional. The main girls may not have other relationships but that is because they are dysfunctional, and Tremolo is attracted to their dysfunction because of his own problems. The rest of the girls, including the strippers, hots, and even feminists or nerd girls certainly are having something resembling sex lives that are their own private business. There is also no chance that Sage didn't fuck Chad, no matter how gay he is, because if you don't throw it into a girl at some point she doesn't consider you a boyfriend, much less date exclusively for three years. I'm certain that Quinn also fucks for money when it pleases her and has been doing so for years, although she gets uncomfortable taking Tremolo's money once she starts catching feels. These are things that are more implicit than explicit, but this is a sex game about horny college kids going to a party school. We shouldn't allow ourselves to get hung up on it or resent other people for getting lucky. I am kind of with you that if you can separate yourself from MC (easy for me to do because he doesn't handle his problems in any way close to the way I would) you get a much better playing experience than if you self-insert.
How dare you imply that any of the girls had sex with anyone else before they met the MC?

We've already stated countless times that they are all virgins at the moment they meet the MC (even Nicole a.k.a Virgin Mary who gave a birth to a kid, but is still a virgin at the point she met the MC). :Kappa:

huh, it had the opposite effect to me. she easily became the 2a/2b girl with quinn. prior to the interlude i didn't really care too much about her, just past experiences as a child growing up and exploring sexuality. but you get to learn so much about her through her diary and watching her actions. she's not an ex who bailed on the mc. they were at a crossroad in life. mc wanted to finish school and go to college and she wanted to pursue what she thought was her dream. she was depressed over her grandmother's passing and she did what she thought her grandmother would have wanted her to do; find her own happiness.

she's always had mc's best interest in mind. she saw emma, who she perceived as a cooler, older person with more life experiences, and modeled her own life experiences with that of emma and bret's. she perceived that emma and bret had a great relationship even after they had broken up; she heard what bret said about giving him space allowed him to heal and grow. zoey only realized her mistake when emma eventually got too paranoid and jealous and did not want the same thing to happen to her. she now realized that even in that small podunk town, she could still have home blindness.

she's talented, saracastic, independent, free-spirited, loyal, and brave. zoey is one one of the few characters that show actual growth. you see her amateur sketches eventually turn into tattooable pieces. even the art in her diary takes a qualitative jump. she knows she made mistakes but she wants to make it right by heading home. i think people are fixated on her "leaving" the mc, but she always wanted the mc to go with her; mc was the one who said he didn't want to go. mc has also stated that he would travel with her etc. in that respect, mc is the one who bailed on her.

"she's not an ex who bailed on the mc." - Of course she was, just because she refused to acknowledge it with the excuse that she's not "good at feelings" doesn't mean she isn't. Just look at how he talks about her and his reactions, he was clearly upset about she leaving (the bench scene) while she was happy about it and even started ghosting him. That's pretty damn lame even if you look at them as just long time childhood friends.

I think my problem with the interlude is that the whole thing is designed to make you feel sorry for her so you welcome her back when in reality MC is the one that got hurt. Seriously, her whole story is based on generating pity and the death of her grandmother is part of it. Everything she wanted went to shit so she comes back crying, it's really hard for me to find her interesting because of that.

My take on this is that DrPinkCake wanted to create a story without any hint of NTR, and, therefore, has attracted Patrons who agree with that stance.
He's setting up a lot of hints for some of the side girls who are already in relationships that may get a scene with the MC though. I guess he could just pull the Heather/Tommy split up or Sally dumps Magnar so it's "not ntr" though :poop: Unless his audience doesn't mind if it's just the MC stealing girls

has anyone tried this game on linux ?
if yes does it work perfectly?
ps - i haven't used linux so question might be stupid
It does but on my Linux partition I had to give permissions to run as an application to BeingADIK.sh and the BeingADIK file in "Being A DIK Season 1 & 2\lib\linux-x86_64" to get it to start. The name of your folder will be different.

The Interlude

Loved to see where Tremolo was coming from and to see Zoey follow her dreams. So many people never do and end up bitter at what could have been. She learned and grew from it. She made sense and her behavior can be easily modified to be something Tremolo is chasing, or run from or hell even model himself upon. As a reader you can make it plausible either way based on how you are steering Tremolos affinity. Pretty good design in my opinion.

Theres only one problem and its a big one in the interlude, in my opinion that is, and it was what got me here to read and look for others impression of it. Namely the lack of a second relationship for Zoey. I was sure Zoey were at the very least date someone and hook up to some degree but it didn't happen and that felt weird to me that she didn't experiment, at all. Sure she saw Emma and Brent but that wasn't personal and it was from the outside and shit like that doesnt really stick unless its personal from what I've seen in people and myself. Its basically doesn't happen.

That was one of the reasons why i started reading shit here. Its what bent my suspension of disbelief too far too ignore, so it broke. I had to read what others though. Couldn't in my wildest dreams anticipate the hate of Zoey and the Interlude here. Shes literally what you want her to be to make your version of Tremolo to make sense.

So, I started to read this forum, and really read it.

Page after page, gone through the last 120+ pages at least over the past week or two. Its been a real revelation. It never occurred to me that people self-inserted in the story and cared about cheating and infidelity and that was the reason its pretty a non-existent part in the story, except for the Fuckface himself (god i love this moniker, thank you!).

My suspension of disbelief have been broken by the revelation that DPCs patreon community abhors anything that even hints at the girls in the story having relations outside the Fuckface making such content taboo. Unless they are already unavailable by being in a couple like John Boy&Elena, or the community slut Arieth, god that character knows how to love and live her life. Kudos! Her behavior have sort of coloured the impression of the Hots as well as the restaurant girls and I just assumed they all fucked on the regular, we just didn't see it. Now... it feels like they don't and can't due to a patreon community. It have really tarnished the story for me.

To me this game is a book, we just happen to shape the story a bit to nudge what the characters we find more interesting/sexy does, but ultimately have no real control so no real emotional stake in the final outcome. Sure there is emotion in enjoying of the story and the sex scenes but its not... capital E emotional, like something personal, that you yourself have experienced. Its not like you go "we beat Thanos woo" when you saw the movie right? Right?!

So why would you self insert with Fuckface and care about cheating especially not until they only just now decided to become a couples in the story? It just doesn't make sense to me. I mean, we see the Fuckface's face, read his (not your own) internal monologue and get to see his family etc etc. To me this severs me from his feelings kinda, I can empathize sure but not self insert, how can you have an emotional "this is me" connection and by extension a territorial emotion over the girl(s)? Let alone all times we spy and get the disembodied view of other characters talking. Those that Fuckface have no idea about! Self insert how?! I really dont get it. Wish I did... or maybe not. For a moment perhaps.

tl;dr A real revelation and broken suspension of disbelief. At least its not shattered yet.

Bella, Maya for LIs. Quinn for being the most fucking interesting character in the game. Villains have to be after all to make a story engaging- pimping and drug peddling for sure and possibly embezzling, and maybe more.

Perhaps I'm misreading this but. Are you basing your statement that the patron community abhors any hint of NTR, based on what you read on a pirate forum?

That's the main reason I think some of these games lose a lot. I understand some people might feel uncomfortable if the MC is cheated (NTR like some people call it?). For me it's OK if it makes sense in the story and we chose the wrong LI, hello, this is a game after all, not real life?!?! But other thing is completely removing every male competition and picture all the LI's like virgins who have no interest in any other men and no past experience, it's just ridiculous...

I have to admit that Josy may be my favorite of the main love interests but she would probably make the worst girlfriend of the bunch. How can you tell if Josy is lying? Her lips are moving. But she is so adorable and non-threatening that everybody lets it slide. If I have a type it is certainly adorable lying girls with bisexual tendencies who make terrible girlfriends.
bruh

its all they do. be bisexual, twerk, eat hot chip and lie

His previous game was the same. As a Patron since back then, I don't recall anyone clamoring for or against NTR. But his community now at least agrees with how it's going, or they would leave.
AL was much more courageous in that respect... I would say in a way that is really not comparable

MC was blatantly betrayed by his partner, and despite this the unfaithful partner has a kind of happy ending too

moreover one of the 3 LIs, for two consecutive times ends up dating the most detestable male character in the game, and can end the game as the girlfriend of MC's best friend (with a double permission signed by the player)

Yeah personally I'd actually find it interesting if characters basically dumped by the MC after Episode 8 started other relationships. It's not like you have to watch a sex scene of them after the fact :KEK: (not that it would bother me anyway) but yeah we're probably missing out on some interesting things like e.g. Do you want to be a good friend to John Boy or Tommy etc or do you want to try to cheat with their girlfriends behind their backs... Like Bella's husband as an example too is completely stone cold dead as DPC wont want some NTR scenario.

I suspect that James was once 'seriously interested' in Isabella.

Before we found out that Chad was gay, I always assumed that he and Sage had had sex. Most people around here probably did too. It didn't bother me one bit. When we found out about Chad and Troy, I didn't give a shit what that meant for Chad's relationship with Sage, except for a curiosity factor. Still don't. Any more than I care about what Chad and Troy are doing. It doesn't concern me, or anyone that my MC is interested in.

The only virgins (among the main LI's) at the start of the game were Jill and Maya. The rest had all lost their virginity long before. So what? If there are any other virgins still left in this game, it might be one or more of the feminists. Do I care? Not even a little bit. Neither does my MC's pecker.

That's exactly the case for Jill though, aside from a few bad dates she has no real experience. It's even the first time Maya is with a man. But the only person that has to deal with NTR is Chad if you are on Sage's path. But he had it coming.

Yup totally agree. Like for example I am more into Josy and I am out of Jill's path now. Is the poor girl going to remain single and untouched until the end of the game???? I wouldn't want that for her! :D
