Random thought.

I was pondering where this story supposedly takes place, and I don't think that's officially been said. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

But... I think based on a few key clues I could make a strong case for somewhere in Maine.

Here's why.

First it needs to be a northern latitude state because in Episode 3 we see them getting snow around Thanksgiving.
Second, it can't be on the West Coast since that's where Zoey goes to from where ever this is.
Third, The Pink Rose is a full nude, full contact bar with an age restriction of 21. And the only state on the upper East coast with that combo is... Maine. West Virginia is also full nude and full contact, but the age minimum there is only 18. Not other state in that area is full nude and full contact if alcohol is served (which the Pink Rose does serve) so... Maine.

So I think its Maine.

Maine also, I think, fits the mix of a small rural town the MC, Maya and Josy all seem to come from; but also having college towns and the use of rail to get places (since we know Zoey uses a train ride to go to the WC, but also to go from B&R to their home town).

None of which really matters to enjoying the game... I just... trivia...

Also, I may know way too much about strip clubs.

True. Unless The Pink Rose doesn't abide by strip club laws, there is no real life state that fits all the lore in the game. There are only 3 states (Florida, Georgia and Oregon) that fit the activities and rules of the Pink Rose, and they're either on the east or the west coast. It can't even be Maine, since the age restriction to enter a strip club there is 18, not 21.

I always chose Josy whenever there was a choice and it really showed it may be a problem in ep 11 when you sleep on Bellas couch and choose Josy, Maya gives them both a long stare before looking down so she's thinking on the relationship for sure.

Favoring one girl for sure leading to solo, not choosing to say I love yet does leave the door open to saving throuple or for dating both girls

Yeah me too, especially since (as far as we know) Zoey went to San Diego only by train. I doubt she would travel across (almost) the entire US by train if a plane would be much cheaper and faster.

Honestly, breaking that throuple up disappoints me. Part of what made the them different, unique, interesting was that it was a threesome path. Take that away and they lose some of what makes choosing them interesting over say Sage or Jill. It almost feels like DPC is determined to shat all over the Maya Jose thing.

At this rate, Sage is seeming more and more a vastly better choice for a happy play thru, plus she's now apparently into threesomes so... just date her and wait to see whichever HOT she brings home next for you to bang.

Its all getting increasingly stupid IMHO.

You can say "I love you" to either Josy or Maya, depending on who you went on a date with. That person is determined by who you spend the most time with whenever you got the choice (in a tie it would look at the highest RP).
If you don't say "I love you", or if they don't say it back, you can choose yourself who you want to sleep with at Bella's. Otherwise it's indeed dependent on who you said the L-word to.

Also, it might be that Camila is the last possible threesome with Sage if you accept it, considering it seems she has her doubts about MC's reaction afterwards.
