There was a scene where there is a figure passing by your room and you still had a tarp, Idk who is that but it seems that they are spying and might be related to whoever captured the bella scene

So it's almost like somebody catches as their sneaking away from the back door, and then later sneak back in through the back door a little later on. The first thing that comes to mind for corresponding blackmail for Josy and Maya would be similar as Chad's, outing their relationship together. But nothing pops in my head for Sage and Jill so I'd need to think more on them.

Yeah, making characters independent of each other is one way of taming the combinatorial explosion.

Until and unless we get AI capable of reliably generating satisfying narratives in response to player choices, we're looking at everything being made by developers, and cutting down the number of variations required is key to keeping things manageable.

If a game has just ten binary (A or B) choices, then that's over a thousand possible variations if each possible combination leads to a different outcome. On the other hand, if you can address each individual choice's consequences independently, then you can break those outcomes into ten scenes, each of which has two versions, for twenty scenes, or two full outcomes' worth (though it'll be more work than just making two of the thousand outcomes since you'll have to also make the framework to stitch them together, and put in some work making the scenes interchangeable). Or you can reduce things still further by adding the choices together and, say, showing one scene if the player picked A more than 6 times, and the other if they picked B more than 3 times.

Of course, the problem with making characters too independent of each other is that you then end up with what amounts to entirely independent stories that happen to be being told interspersed through each other. It can be okay, but you lose a lot of storytelling potential, and the world can feel a bit artificial, when you can date any combination of girls without any of them acknowledging your activities with any of the others...

Figuring out where to make that trade-off is one of the big decisions for an AVN.

Couple of possible explanations for the Cathy Cluck.
1) Someone hacked her computer and got it, Nerds being the obvious option for that.
2) Cathy was on Swyper, someone could have made an account and chatted her up and she sent that to someone... and that someone turned out to be a Nerd.

Not saying that's absolutely how it happened but both those possibilities have crossed my mind.

Once it was out there, we now know that Beth, Avery and bitches kept putting the posters up without any thought of how it would affect Cathy.

The camera in Derek's room. That one has puzzled me and how to answer it depends on how much thought DPC put into it. So what I'm about to say may be overanalyzing if DPC never looked into it this deeply. I'm a former building contractor, so what I do know is that camera was a model of a small security camera, the kind where you can rotate the camera, zoom in and out... but... could have just been the 3D asset DPC had on hand... so take it with a grain of salt. Thing is, it has to be hard wired into place and DPC made a point of remind us of that. Wiring of that type is not easy to install, and unless one of the DIKs did it during the renovation, then I don't see it happening at all because of the amount of time and noise involved to fish the wire (here again, it assumes DPC was aware of that). We also know DPC has a room with a ladder to the roof and attic... and the attic is right over Dereks room where you would run that wire so I'm guessing that's not accidental and in the near future there may be an investigation up there to finally see where that wire went and whether there are any other cameras attached to it and also what is rigged up to transmit the images. But... that camera could have been there for any length of time, they have a long service live and run on house current so, it could have been there and dormant for years. There was some mention IIRC (someone double check that) that Vinny may have used that closet at one point for wild sex and making sex videos. So maybe Vinny installed the camera a long time ago and its just been there ever since. But what the heck would Vinny know about it. Now from here on out its me making shit up... maybe Vinny knew a Nerd back in the day and got him to do it and maybe that Nerd turns out to be Magnar's older brother and that's how Magnar knew about the camera. So all Magnar had to do was reactivate it remotely and now he's got a spy cam in the DIK frathouse without ever setting foot in there himself. Or something like that, you get the idea.

Magnar may not want to hurt Bella because she's the Librarian and she does let the Nerds hang out there... so that maybe makes Bella immune to what he's planning. Magnar seems mostly interested in destroying the 3 frats and the HOTs, not the staff. The cluck of Cathy wouldn't have wrecked her career, especially if it got taken down, which it did. Magnar had no way to know Beth & bitches would keep it going. Unintended consequences.

I will not be surprised if in the next episode we see Maya, Josy, Sage and Jill targeted however. And in particular the HOTs... and oh dear, Quinn and her girls... oh my.

That's all I got and also based on my limited experience with the story, so I'll leave it there for the rest of you to pick apart and fill in the gaps. Just fodder for discussion. Don't forget for someone to double check me on that reference about Vinny making sex tapes and whether it was that closet or the library (now the MCs room), I think I remember that right but I could be wrong.

That picture was taken without her knowledge. If it did turn out to be her own, I think it would've come up when talking to MC about it at Bella's, or on the drive home, or her last talk with him in class. As for the rest of it, I could believe that the nerds won't harm Bella, but they have no plans against the HOTs, just the frats. And the camera, there's way too much to theorize that I wont even try.

the speech is correct, but this example is not true though

MC in Sage's intervention to help Maya really plays a marginal role, Sage has all the reasons to come forward even without MC.

the problem is that dramatic breakups have no consequences and that's very annoying. it's ok that they keep meeting, at the end the college is small, but the way is really unempathetic.

Maya and Josy don't trust MC enough for the trouple? ok, but then they can't call him at night because Maya is freaking out and so she has to TRUST him and tell him (again) about the loan

Bella doesn't want to continue her relationship with Mc if he makes a move on Cathy? ok, but can't MC of all options just go to Bella and get his hair done

Jill thinks MC isn't the right person for her and can make her hurt? ok, but then it doesn't make sense for her to casually attend her first DIKs party

Like I said, you guys know way more about the story than I, I've mostly ignored Cathy cause I just don't find her interesting.

I was thinking Magnar in his lil "Dr Evil" speech mentioned targeting the HOTs as well. :unsure: If not, then they're safe and that would explain why they haven't been targeted. Though on the other hand it would be an interesting way to wrap up the prostitution ring plot that has thus far been ignored... unless DPC intends to just continue ignoring it. Dunno... you guys would probably know better on that than me, so I defer.

Yeah, the camera is a tough one because it depends too much on how much DPC knows about that. If it turns out Magnar and Co are putting cameras in a lot of places then that's the wrong camera to use. You'd want to use a wireless camera that can be quickly stuck in place with little to no work and has a battery life of up to a year and a short range wi-fi (so all you'd need is a retransmitter somewhere nearby outside the house to boost the signal and you're in business). Please don't ask me how I know all this... misspent youth & pleading the 5th... all I'm sayin. Granted DPC could probably have found all that out with a web search, but whether he did or not... dunno. So... like you say, hard to speculate about the camera but that's my best theory with what little we do have.

Possibly the DIKs haven't been targeted for blackmail because Magnar see's them as an easy foible, they've been their own worst enemy already, so instead blackmail others and blame it on the DIKs who are not being blackmailed which makes them look more guilty. Its a theory anyway.

It drove me up the wall my first play thru (where Maya and Josy friendzone the MC) that they kept running to him with their secret problems and begging him for help. But then in my 2nd play thru where he has a relationship with them... once its a full blown relationship and they have every reason to trust him... they don't seem to fully trust him. Josy hides how she feels, and her web blog from him cause she's too embarassed to show it to a guy who has been nothing but good to her and understanding, but she's not too embarassed to play strip beer pong in public and strip completely in front of both the HOTs and DIKs (and Tommy had NOTHING to say about that either, granted he was being brain blasted by Aerith's drivel at the time and may have gone catatonic).

I'm hoping to have time do do a serious replay focusing on Sage and praying it goes much better... I really like her so far. Jill, will do a play thru focusing on her later but I'm skeptical already, she's to fragile and as Bella points out "So naive" (I enjoyed that scene).
