Sorry to tell you this but, when it comes down to cheating on her boyfriend she's only doubling down: she's not learning anything from that. Her apologising and owning up to the rest of the group screwing around with the DIKs with the posters doesn't absolve her of cheating on her boyfriend. She's made no attempts at redeeming herself there.
The original point I had made with Tara is that if she was willing to cheat on her boyfriend during a time when things were unsteady, then the relationship would be doomed to fail. If you're only loyal when it's easy and disloyal when it's hard, you're not really loyal to begin with.

All I see from this sentence of yours is you trying to rationalise a fictional character that is cheating due to your own and your (past or current) partner's infidelity. It's projection.
She is. She says things aren't going well for them but that they're still together.

On and off recently means they break up and then make up. So right now, she has broken off from Oscar so technically, we are having sex WHILE she is single.
Furthermore, there are characters that received arcs while they cheated on their partner. Lets go through them shall we:
- Best Girl Sage if you went the Fuckbuddy route while she is with chad
- Maya and Josy - You fuck josy and also fingerbang maya and nearly have sex with her (This is prior to the throuple becoming official)
- Bella even though her husband's status is MIA, she still believes he is out there or something, we don't know whats up with her.
- Bianca in the others route and also the Bella/Jill route if you chose not to tell her about her boyfriend cheating.
- Sally, she is still with Magnar and we make out with her at the panty party.
So yeah, those are examples of characters that are in relationships but actually cheat instead of on and off.
Now I can't argue about when she does the gloryhole scene because Idk if she is on or off at that point, but the panty party tara she is at that point broken up with him.
Finally, we don't know who is the dick in their relationship, her or Oscar. Since we are seeing Oscar fucking girls and attempting to pick up Josy WHILE tara is at the party, we can assume he is the issue in their relationship.
