I can't say that I hate her now. Girl is just immature and has her head in the clouds, plus she is annoying and obsessive, which is typical for a teenager her age.

I really used to think the same about the throuple break up. When you end things with the other girls they are more composed, even if they are sad. This can especially be seen on both Maya's and Jill's reaction, they were sad but took time for themselves to reflect on it. Bella is sad, but she is already a mature woman and she is more used with dealing with her emotions. Sage didn't have proper time to understand her feelings and she was still scarred from a breakup.

But the more times I played and the more I thought about it, Josy has, actually, a VERY realistic reaction. It's actually weird that you would not act a little raspy with someone that broke up with you all of a sudden and then tried to be all buddy-buddy with you as if you were not hurt and your feelings didn't matter. The other girls are just very mature and also forgiving (Jill and Sage) or used to burying their feelings (Bella and Maya, especially Maya).

So, this was one of the points I mostly disliked about Josy's personality (other than her being a little too obsessed), but I thought a lot about that I got to the conclusion that Josy had one of the most normal reaction to such a breakup for a girl her age.

And, Josy's reaction could never compete with the queen of shitty reaction and peak imaturity, Jade. Now that's a fucking bullshit, even more when you remember how old the bitch is.

Some serious hot takes but this one stood out to me.
Maya, the feminist, whose entire story line revolves around being able to go to college without her father interfering or controlling her life, gets pregnant and drops out of college to become a housewife.
That's Rian Johnson tier of subverting expectations.

But if that's the ending you want dream on brother.

If Maya's feminism played any part in her story arc, I think she'd lean more towards trying to befriend the whale posse, the geek girls or trying to rehab Arieth or something. Hell, she could even tryand bring down Quinn's "restaurant". IMO, that feminism thing was just a way to reason her getting with Josy, and father thing is just "shitty parents" plot device.
