Any thoughts that this game is funneling all players towards a tragedy pretty much regardless of what decisions you make as a player.

Playing from the beginning you're told that the protagonist is happy with his life and situation with his father before college, while implying that he is not happy now.

First, any guesses on when our protagonist is retelling his story? Is he a sophomore in college? Is he an old fart reminiscing about his college days?

My guess is that Dr.P's initial idea was that we play as the tragic hero in this drama, especially if you're playing the namesake DIK route. But seeing as he probably wrote this seven or eight years ago, he's deviating from his story quite a bit in order to satisfy his audience and to give everyone a potential 'happy' feel good ending. Also to milk this project for as long as possible now that he has a winning video game, I don't blame him for that, but usually when you mess around with your narrative midway through, it tends to turn into garbage.

I don't think the game's story has advanced much since episode 8. There's been some revelations, but the story has been stuck in the mud for a while now.

Any time you create something, you establish the rules of that world, and the player, viewer suspends their disbelief in order to go along with that world. When you start breaking the rules that you created for your world, it's jarring and breaks that suspension of disbelief, even in a porn game.
Dr. PinkCake, made a game with a semi-believable college setting, with sem-realistic logic. If he starts fucking with it too much, then the story falls apart....

Based on his previous game, acting lesson, DPC is mastermind of "i'll make your fucked decision to be more fucked, so get fucked!" Hahahahaha

For me, from episode 9 till 11 are probably "revealing" secret/mystery that make us wondering before. Just like when he spill Jade is actually Sage's mom at the end of episode 8. And further more it revealed if we take Sage's path while banging her mom, make us cannot get to close to Sage and missed "i love you" scene with her. So its like we make fucked decision and DPC fucked us more HAHAHAHA. For players who want to experience more with romantic Sage, they must restart the game and play more "neutral" so can keep on track.

And you probably know, from 9 to 11, if we're choose paths other than "others" Path, we must change playstyle to 'loyal boyfriend' so can progress further. Its big improvement for me.
