It's divided in two parts nearly identical parts, yet there's 87 (eighty-seven) characters. He also mentions a new environment, and a couple of weeks ago it was found out that DPC bought an asset.

• Creating more scenes and lewd scenes to compensate.
• Making Rooster clucks.
• Adding more art for the phone.
• Making more content for the Phone chats.
• Placing the hidden special renders.
• Writing the End of episode reports.
• Adding special credits.
• Making more 60 FPS animations.
• Creating new 1-2 minutes long cinematics.
• Polishing.

Don't worry, he will find plenty of things to do for the next 7-8 months

It's not compulsory to create the parts of a game in the same order they are to be played.

The free roam event has new environments, which is exciting, but that also means much more work. I have been working on the environment design for several days, and it's starting to come together. I have a few more areas to design before I can continue with the next step, which is dressing all the characters. All 87 of them. This is the biggest number of characters I've had in a single free roam event. Just dressing them will take at least two days, and I'm hoping to get a poll out of it, too.

The animation queue I tried to build with the lewd scene I finished earlier this week is looking too slim for my liking. Hopefully, I can fix that next week. Oh, what a wonderful problem to have.

This week, I also finalized work on the special part of this project that I started way earlier in this development cycle. And I've also worked on the Steam/GOG trailers for Season 3—they are almost finished. I have locked in the episode 12 title and written a synopsis for the store pages as well. You'll learn more details about all of this in an upcoming announcement.

This just makes the Steam announcement from December even stupider. But hey, maybe we'll receive a wealth of new previews again.

I'm gonna make an absolutely wild guess here and say that the big free roam is the NYE party. Sage in her peacekeeping efforts hosts a massive party at a neutral location. The wild part is that both the tri-alpha fraternity and the DIK fraternity are invited. As are all the preps, the nerds, even some teachers and of course the strippers. It's the only way he gets to 87 characters.

Doesn't seem like a wild guess, that's probably what it is. It's too big for the faculty event, and overkill for the competition. Now it's just a question of venue, I'm still going with a block party downtown.

I had a great week because it felt like it went by in a flash, and every day was shorter than I wanted.

I started by wrapping up work on a lewd scene and planned to continue to work on another lewd scene. But I ended up playing the episode and writing, and I went with the flow. I wrote more scenes and then started working on a big free roam event for the episode.

The free roam event will need a bunch of animations, which is why I felt I could start work on it. I spent one day planning it by compiling notes, outlining the flow of events, and mapping the layouts of the environments. To show you some behind-the-scenes, here is how this process can look on my end (all text has been redacted).

The free roam event has new environments, which is exciting, but that also means much more work. I have been working on the environment design for several days, and it's starting to come together. No, but in the status update a month or so back they did have that graphic which revealed they have basically been doing this one chronologically for the most part.

But not completely which proves my point. So long as the end product as a whole is functional it doesn't matter which order the parts are created in. At that point he happened to create the earlier scenes first. I'd assume it's largely because the early bits call information from earlier episodes which has already been created while later scenes will rely on information created within the episode and so to make them work he'll have to create the moments that information is created. But he'll only need the code. Dialogue and art can be added later so while he has the part he needs the moment isn't fully finished and won't show up on any graph that is meant to track fully finished parts of the project.

That is not to say that he is close to being finished with the code for the episode. He does have the parts that are crucial for that huge ass free roam, but there are bound to be lots of choices that don't affect the free roam and so their not being done doesn't get in the way of creating it.

This is why the DIK/Chick score variable is a very handy piece of the game. So many scenes simply call that value and choices are locked or unlocked on that basis. Those scenes will work even if some of the choices that would alter the value in an earlier part of the game don't exist yet.

So really he can just focus on which ever part he is most inspired to do at any given time.

Is that confirmed anywhere? I definitely remember thinking that during a run so it probably is true, but I have no idea where the game gives that information.

Darius did trash the DIK's but that was under Dawe's order

Alex other than fighting him, and kicking his ass in MMA, hasn't really done much either
