Anyone who chose Jill route: why?

Actual serious answer, that goes beyond appearance, from someone, who doesn't play every path (only Jill/Sage as Main LI and some Others/side girls):
This post sums it up quite well. She came off veeery strong in the first episodes for me, especially compared to the other Main LIs (looking at you, Binocular-Sage). I just like how mature and driven she is. Her serious face is top. I don't mind her naivity and certain social inexperience.

(Side note:
Thinking about how Sage is this flawless hero at the end of the current episode (fucks MC's brain out, A grades, helps Maya), but still gets absolutely taken for a ride by Quinn because of plot reasons. That's naivity that actually bugs me.)


I don't care about the whole virgin thing (absolutely nothing I look for in porn/AVN games) and I hope the whole destiny stuff doesn't go overboard in the future. Blackmail plot wasn't great, some renders are bad yadda yadda. Other than that, if Episode 9 continues as strong as Episode 8 finished, she's #1 Main LI for me again.

i guess, but they are just asking why do you like her. they arent saying you arent allowed to like her. i too was curious at first as to why she was so popular, but i made my peace a while back with the fact that its likely the virgin status that puts Jill on a pedestal for most

She is Hot. Her being Virgin was the least interesting for me. She started off interesting, and she had her flaw when she went behind MC's back. But i liked the Stubborn, determination. And in episode 4, She grown on me during the Tennis play, I think it was one of the best datet. Jill has her ups and downs of course, In the beginning, but that was mostly because of the narrative, I was not fun of the "Forced" element of her, but that's apply to almost anyone.
Another thing is that She was Better in the first 5 episode, The Tybalt thing damaged her a bit. ep 6 - ep8
But didn't make her unlikable, just naive.
So overall She is a solid Hot Girl, who has lots of potential. And I'm really curious about how she would be evolving now that , 3 of the major thing was resolved about her.

It was a long road, 8 episode overall. But Maya is still in the loan problem, it didn't change, just expanded with Josy and now with Sage. .
I understand that She is a "meme", but now it's just entering to a boring theritory of her constant mockery.
But Hey I survived, the constant Josy Maya hate back in the days, this will pass too eventually. .

in the end Jill's virginity was more of a reason to make fun of her here on the forum than this carrying theme in her story

I reiterate how on balance Jill is the most maternal character in the game and certainly among the LIs, even more so than Bella who would have all the characteristics.

after all even doing her own thing, according to what she thinks is right, without listening to MC is not a typical attitude of a mother?

I'm sad that Sage is not a main LI. I love a hard-to-get LI. Everyone else is just weirdly eager to fall in love with MC.

Maybe it's just the curse of knowledge/experience, but after the first couple I was with, I realized I really had an appreciation for those who'd had some experience first. Maybe the fault was mine for not turning them into wildly kinky deviants from the start, I dunno, but those with little or no experience seemed far less interested in really experimenting with stuff beyond the basic cable impressions of 'lovemaking'.

all the main girls and pretty much all the side girls are attractive, so for me looks isnt the selling point since they are all like 10s. for me it comes down to personality first and foremost, and that why Sage was the first girl that hooked me. she felt like the most real/believable characters, she is outgoing and likes sex and yet she is still studious and responsible. she felt like a real girl i could meet at university. the other girls all started out a bit to stereotypical for my liking (compared to Sage at least).

Jill is soooo pure and naïve and inexperienced, that she might as well be a middle school girl in a grown woman's body. her being the uber rich princess that MC has to white knight for and eventually "save" like a damsel with no real agency isnt my cup of tea either. it was borderline annoying to me at first lol. also i knew girls in high school that were "saving themselves for marriage" (and they did) but they would still go to parties and drink and have fun with everyone else, they just wouldnt fuck. Early on the game makes it seem like Jill literally just sits in her ivory tower and practices piano when she isnt butting her way into other people's business.

Bella being the super cold Ice Queen librarian with insane proportions was also a little too on the nose and stereotypical for me as well. Sage was the first character that felt like she was adequately fleshed out beyond her 2 dimensional trope that she was based on. That isnt to say that the other characters arent getting that treatment too, but its slow and inconsistent (i wont even mention Maya or Josy lol) and the only other person who feels like they have genuine progress in this way besides Sage is Quinn of all people.

but from my time in the past on DPC patreon and of course my experience with lots of people on this site from over the years, Jill being a virgin is a REALLY big deal to lots of people out there

What happened to her sister. what is actually the story. and DPC love to create connections between characters. And probably gonna bring new people into the mix. so there's that. She also check the locked Door of Bella, and She at least knew a bit about Bella past. She and Bella, kind of have a fresh start, at least when you are on their path. Like a new beggining, so it can go any direction.

I mean from what I take DPC loves drama? I'd personally be happy with 'boring' relationship stuff. Get Jill more out of her shell. Meet her friends again, do some trading with Andy.^^ See how Bianca mixes up the Halloween party.
Other than that, there's this possible connection between MC's mom and Bianca's mom, to learn more about MC's history. The campaign for her sister, where MC could help. And the locked door at Bella's Jill also knows about.

You guys know way better about the overall importance of the virgin trope, no doubt. I'd also agree on Sage being the best fleshed out 'real' character.
Funny, on my first blind playthrough I was like 'hell naw' when Sage asked me to help her with Chad. Didn't want to have anything to do with that. Didn't mind Jill butting her way into MC business with Chad though. Also, when I said she came off very strong in the early episodes, I obviously didn't see Season 2 coming haha.
I'm not saying I'd go for her type/character everytime in other AVNs as well. Just in this particular case here, she worked well for me, for the reasons above.

Your post is why I hate waifu wars with a passion on these threads, and is why I even bothered to answer you in the first place. Every time, someone thinks that just because they like some character in particular, they are entitled (and even forced) to dump on one or all other possible LI's and their adherents. It's childish, clutters up the threads and serves no useful purpose, unless it IS your purpose to piss people off.

I have no intention of ever defending or explaining my reasons for liking or disliking characters on this or any other thread. My reasons are mine.
